Chapter 8: Boundless Imperium

Akira had made the decision. After much persuasion from Gojo and a healthy dose of uncertainty about the wild path ahead of him, he agreed to join Jujutsu High. He left behind the familiar world he knew, stepping into a reality that was much more chaotic, dangerous, and unpredictable.

But even as he followed Gojo, the one person who seemed to understand his abilities, he had no idea just how ridiculous his journey would soon become.

Gojo, true to form, was exactly what Akira had expected. Gojo was a walking disaster in terms of reliability.

"So, we're going to exorcise a special grade cursed spirit today!"

Gojo-sensei announced with his typical grin, a sense of mischievous excitement in his voice as he led Akira toward their destination. "Don't worry, I'll show you the ropes."

Akira blinked, confused. "Wait, we're going to exorcise it now? Isn't that a bit... too much for me?"

Gojo turned to him, smiling even wider. "That's the spirit! You've got it in you. With your talent, we'll do this in no time. Just watch how I do it."

What followed was a demonstration that could only be described as Gojo being... Gojo.

He casually approached the cursed spirit's lair, acting as if they were going for a casual stroll. Meanwhile, Akira felt a sense of nervous excitement. He wasn't sure whether to be amazed or horrified at the sheer nonchalance Gojo displayed. He could feel the weight of the danger hanging in the air, but Gojo seemed completely unfazed.

As Gojo began his exorcism, Akira's senses were overwhelmed. Every time the cursed spirit lunged at him, Gojo flicked it away with the same level of effort one would use to swat a fly. The atmosphere was thick with cursed energy, yet Gojo handled it with an ease that was nothing short of terrifying.

"See? No big deal," Gojo said after wiping his hands as if he had just done a casual favor. "Now, it's your turn. Go ahead and try."

Akira stood frozen for a moment, processing the events. Then, he looked at the space around him, tapping into his innate technique.

Innate technique: Boundless Imperium.

For the first time, Akira activated his technique fully, and it immediately began to affect the entire environment. He felt time seem to slow down as space around him warped. It was as if reality itself was being reshaped under his influence.

His first move was to test his space-time manipulation. Akira focused on the cursed spirit—already weakened by Gojo—and with a wave of his hand, he froze the air around it. The cursed spirit's movements became sluggish, almost frozen, as Akira manipulated the space around him.

Akira's eyes widened as he noticed something else happening. With his heightened perception, he could see the environment itself reacting to his technique. The cursed spirit was trapped within a space that he controlled, unable to move.

Gojo was watching his every move with his Six Eyes. There was nothing Akira could hide from those eyes.

Gojo was impressed. "Not bad. You're already getting the hang of it."

Akira was still adjusting to the sensations. He had felt this power in bits and pieces before, but now it was all coming together. He wasn't just manipulating cursed energy—he was manipulating space itself, altering time in specific areas, and controlling reality in ways that were almost incomprehensible. This was Boundless Imperium, a power that was both overwhelming and beautiful in its potential.

With its Pinpoint Accuracy: Akira could now attack with surgical precision. His control over cursed energy allowed him to target weaknesses with an almost supernatural level of detail. When he decided to unleash an attack, he didn't have to aim—it was as though his technique knew exactly where to strike.

Teleportation and Warping: Akira focused on his own movement, testing his ability to teleport within the space range where his technique was applicable. With a slight concentration, he vanished from his position, only to reappear just behind the cursed spirit. No sign of his movement, no space left behind. He could teleport, but he wasn't just jumping between locations—he was warping the very space around him, making his movements unpredictable.

For long distances, he could leave a space mark to teleport. He could also warp others, limited to his perception.

Space-Time Perception (Passive Ability): It was like he could feel everything around him. His perception extended in all directions, allowing him to see beyond the usual limits. He could sense movements in the environment, the flow of cursed energy, the slightest shifts in the air—everything.

Absolute Control Over Cursed Energy: The more Akira used his technique, the more he realized that he wasn't just a spectator in his own body. The cursed energy no longer felt like something he was manipulating externally—it was as much a part of him as his own breath. Every move, every action, was an extension of his own will.

But it wasn't just control that he had gained. As he fully activated Boundless Imperium, Akira discovered the most frightening aspect of his ability: Absolute Destruction.

When he concentrated, the space he focused on became a destructive field, focusing all his energy into one area. The cursed spirit, despite its formidable strength, was caught within this storm of destruction. It was no longer a simple exorcism—it was annihilation.

The cursed spirit disintegrated into nothingness, and the surrounding environment seemed to crumble under the sheer force of Akira's power.

Gojo was closely observing Akira. The Characteristic of his Cursed Energy

"Really very interesting", Gojo murmmered amusedly

Akira stood there, breathing heavily, as the space around him settled. He felt both exhilarated and terrified. This was the power of his technique—a power that reshaped reality, bent time, and destroyed anything in its path.

But the stronger it became, the harder it would be to maintain. The use of the complete technique drained him both physically and mentally. His reserves were only comparable to a first-grade sorcerer for now, and until he learned Reverse Cursed Energy, it would be very hard to use it consistently.

Gojo, still impressed, nodded approvingly. "Okay, that was fantastic. You've got it. Boundless Imperium... It's the perfect combination of space-time manipulation and cursed energy control. You're ready for more advanced training now."

Akira stared at his hands, still trying to grasp the full extent of his new power. "So, this is it? This is what I'm capable of?"

Gojo smiled. "Yeah, but don't get too cocky. It's easy to get carried away with all this power. You're still a weakling."

Before Akira could voice his frustration, Gojo's phone buzzed.

"Hahahah," the malevolence in Sukuna's crazy laughter sent chills down the spines of everyone around him.

"What a nice era to be born," Sukuna felt the energy of the world in thousands of years.

"I can smell it... the scent of women and children." He formed a maniacal grin, which he couldn't suppress.

"There are so many... like overgrown maggots."

"I want to tear apart everyone, one by one..."

Megumi could only watch in despair while Yuji turned into Sukuna—the King of Curses.
