Rat Calendar (Year 2026) - Verdant Hollow
On the 7th of March, in the Inner Zone of Verdant Hollow, the skeletal boss mage made his final struggle to summon a vortex of dark energy. This process required time to charge, allowing the party to attack. As the skeletal boss summoned every skeletal army still at his disposal, time began to run out—the mage was close to completing his large-scale attack. With no choice, Accel threw a wooden sword disguised as Aetherium—a one-use item—successfully killing the skeletal boss mage in one blow.
When the skeletal mage boss was instantly defeated by a wooden sword disguised as Accel's Aetherium Sword, which dealt over 20,000 damage, the entire party group was struggling against a vortex that was pulling them closer to the boss. However, as soon as the boss was killed by the wooden sword, the spell was canceled, and everyone suddenly fell to the ground.
As they got back up, they were confused but soon received a System Notification confirming that they had successfully defeated the skeletal mage boss. The party leader then speculated, "Maybe the skeletal boss mage used its health points to activate the spell." Everyone agreed with this conclusion, and they collected their rewards before heading back to the Adventure Outpost to complete the quest mission.
One of the Main Branches of the Adventure Outpost
As the party returned to the Adventure Outpost, they handed in their quest mission to the receptionist and received their split rewards based on the party contribution list. Afterward, everyone went their separate ways except for Lila and Accel, who sat down in the lounge to enjoy some snacks. They continued talking and having fun when an idea struck Accel. He realized he was often worn out from solo quest missions and needed comrades he could trust.
"Let's create our own guild," he suggested.
"Huh? What do you mean, Accel? A guild? Is there a reason?" Lila asked, confused.
"I think I need to study and learn about how to start and manage a guild. I should head home now, Lila." As Accel prepared to leave the Adventure Outpost, Lila gave him her mobile number, wanting to continue adventuring with him. Accel agreed and saved her number.
Rat Calendar (Year 2026) - Adventure Outpost
On the 8th of March, in the Adventure Outpost Library, Section 5, Accel began studying Guild Creation and Guild Management. He didn't expect it to be so complex. "This is much more difficult than I anticipated," he thought. "A guild really needs multiple people to manage it. The minimum requirement is to have at least 3 to 5 members. This is necessary because you need a Guildmaster, a Vice-Guildmaster, and a Guild Secretary to form the guild."
Accel began to consider whom he would invite to join his guild. He had Lila in mind for one of the spots, but he still needed a third member to complete the group. "Ah! Yes, I could invite my father to join the guild; after all, he could become the Guildmaster in my stead." The reason Accel planned to appoint his father, Thomas Winchester, as the Guildmaster was that people tend to pay attention to which guilds are forming and who is leading them.
If Accel were to become the Guildmaster himself, people might perceive him as inexperienced in guild management and related matters. However, if his father were the Guildmaster, it would lend credibility to the guild while still allowing Accel to be recognized as its original founder. According to the Archive Collection, the Inspirational Leader System provides extra benefits and buffs when assigned to a high-ranking authority within the guild. Thus, Accel decided to invite his friend Lila Meritt and his father, Thomas Winchester.
Using the MagiTech, he contacted his father and his friend Lila, asking them to come to the Adventure Outpost for an important discussion. When Accel's father arrived at the Adventure Outpost, he was wearing an old full set of armor made of hard steel and enchanted with magic. Upon meeting Lila, his first thought was that Accel had finally gotten himself a girlfriend, which made Lila blush. Accel quickly denied it, saying, "Father, we are just friends." His father sighed and quietly remarked, "What a dense son I have..." Accel didn't hear him, as he was muttering to himself.
Accel explained to his father, Thomas, and Lila the important discussion about founding a guild. Lila nodded in agreement, but Thomas was still contemplating the idea. "So, you want me to become the Guildmaster instead of you, son?" Accel replied with a yes and explained his reasoning.
After an hour of deep thought, Thomas agreed with one condition. "Fine, I will become the Guildmaster, but under the condition that once I step down, you must take over as Guildmaster, regardless of whether you feel ready or not. Do you understand?"
Accel nodded and replied, "Yes, Father. I will accept the role as soon as I learn how to lead our future guild as it grows."
Thomas smiled. "Good, let's start forming the guild." The three of them then made their way to the Guild Creation Lounge, a place dedicated to establishing new guilds. Upon submitting their application, the receptionist denied their request, explaining that Accel's father's Adventurer Card had expired a few years ago and needed to be renewed. After waiting for another hour, the receptionist returned with the card.
"Here you go, Sir Thomas Winchester. Your Adventurer Card has been renewed, and your latest adventure rank is 13, or Master Adventurer. However, due to the late renewal, the Colonel of the Adventure Outpost has decided to decrease your rank to 14, or Veteran Adventurer. Here it is, Sir Thomas Winchester."
Thomas responded, "Thank you, Miss Receptionist. Hm? Hey, son, why do you look so surprised?" Accel quickly replied, "Father, are you serious? You're a Master Adventurer? How? You said you had a Business System during your time as an adventurer, but how did you reach the Master Adventure Rank?"
Thomas lightly smacked his son's head for his language and rushed to calm him down. "Sorry, but it's not the right time to explain just yet." Thomas smiled and patted his son's head.
