Chapter 1 - Aant Se Aarambh

Hey Guy's Actually I writed this novel in hindi language and translate it in english so if I made any Mystakes please give a feedback and suggestions for fix and improvement.

.....

It was around five in the morning. The building of an old hostel was glowing with dim light. Light was coming out from the window of one of the rooms.

"Yes! Finally the gift is ready," he said taking a deep breath.

He glanced at the clock. "What? It's past five! Oh man, it took so long to make it. But come on, it's done now. I can rest a little while."

He packs the gift carefully, sets the alarm on his mobile and falls on the bed.

(a few hours later)

Suddenly a loud beeping sound filled the room. Her alarm was going off.

"O come on! How did it become 8 o'clock so soon?" he said irritably, but then he composed himself and got up from the bed. "Come on, we have to get up now."

While taking a bath, thoughts started coming to his mind.

"I don't know if she will like this gift or not. She should like it, otherwise... what if she gets angry on her birthday?"

Thinking this, he walked out of the hostel with the gift box in his hand.

He stopped near the signal and waited for the traffic to stop so that he could cross the road safely.

An 8-year-old girl was standing near the same signal, holding a cute doll in her hands. The girl was happily tossing her doll in the air, as if her whole world was confined to it.

The man smiled at her. The girl's innocence and her world of play were reminding him of his childhood.

Suddenly, the doll slipped from her hand and fell in the middle of the road. Without thinking, the girl ran after the doll. She was now in the middle of the road, amidst the fast moving vehicles.

"What is she doing? Why is she running amidst fast moving vehicles?" he thought nervously. Then his eyes fell on an uncontrolled truck, which was rapidly coming towards that girl.

He shouted loudly, "Hey girl! Get out of there! The truck is coming!"

But the girl froze in fear when she saw the truck. Fear was clearly visible in her eyes, and her feet were as if glued to the ground.

The truck was approaching the girl very fast. Even a moment's delay could have been fatal. Without thinking, the man ran and jumped onto the road.

"Get out of the way!" he shouted, pushing the girl hard, causing her to fall onto the side of the road.

The truck came at full speed and collided head-on with the man. A shrill scream echoed through the air, "AAAAAAAAAAAA!" and he fell to the road.

Within a few seconds a crowd of people gathered there. Some people tried to stop the truck driver, while some ran towards the man.

Soon the ambulance arrived there. But by then it was too late.

The man's body was soaked in blood. His heartbeat was slowing down, and his whole life started flashing before his eyes.

"So soon... how can this happen?" he muttered to himself. "I haven't seen anything yet. My sister... it's her birthday today. Will I not be able to even give her a gift now?"

Countless thoughts ran through his mind.

"I am an orphan. I have been alone for so many years, and now when I started living with those people at the place where I took a job to raise money for my studies...they told me that I am not going to marry them."

Her Breathe was getting weaker, but there was a deep satisfaction in her heart.

"Now I had found the happiness of having a family. But even that was taken away from me."

He tries to smile amidst the pain and weakness.

"But it doesn't matter. Before dying, I understood what a family is and what their love is like. Maybe they won't feel as much pain after I'm gone... After all, I am just an orphan.

But an unfulfilled desire was clearly visible in his eyes.

"Still... I don't want to die so soon. There was still a lot to see. If only there was a way I could come back to this world... and spend a little more time with them."

His eyes slowly began to close, but the glow of his unfulfilled desires still remained.

In the hospital, he stops breathing.

"Doctor! Doctor! Come quickly, it seems he has stopped breathing!" The nurse screams in panic and calls the doctor.

The doctor examines the patient and shakes his head.

"He is no more. This man has lost a lot of blood. It was almost impossible to save him. Inform his family quickly."

(after some time)

"Listen! Hello! Listen, I'm talking to you. Open your eyes!"

He suddenly opens his eyes and sees a smoke-like person standing in front of him.

"Aaaaa! O messenger of death! Aaaaa! You are just like... you are like smoke!" he shouts in panic.

"What do you mean?"

"You're just like smoke!"

"No, no! What did you say before that?"

"Th...m...the messenger of death."

"Listen, understand two things carefully. First, I am not any messenger of death. And second, I am not smoke. This is my body. I look like this, and this is why I am immortal."

"Wait a minute... you... I mean, you are immortal? Are you God?" he falls to his knees in fear and pleads. "Bhagwanji, please forgive me! I didn't know you were God!"

"Hey wait, get up and stand up straight!" the smoke-like man says a little irritated.

"Well, I'm not God... but you can call me God if it makes you feel better."

He immediately stands up straight, but suddenly a ringing voice rings in his ears, "You are not disturbing our guest, are you? servant?"

Hearing this voice, the smoke-like man whom he had been watching till now immediately fell on his knees.

"Whose voice is that?" he wondered and turned around, and what he saw made him wide-eyed. "Aaaaaa... monster!" he screamed in terror.

The smoke-like man looked at him irritably and said, "Stupid human! They are not monster!"

"S-s-s-sorry... forgive me!" He started apologizing, trembling.

At this the giant standing behind started laughing loudly, "Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!"

His upper body was like that of a human, but from the waist down he transformed into the body of a giant snake. His glowing eyes hint at some ancient, wonderful power.

"Do not be afraid, man," he said. "My name is Mithyaaj. I am the king of this world between life and death. And this is my servant, the protector of this world, Rakshadhoom."

Aarav regained his composure and said, "My name is Aarav. I am very happy to meet you."

Aarav hesitantly added, "If you don't mind, I'd like to tell you something."

Before Mithyaaj could say anything, Rakshadhoom intervened, "All that will happen later. First bow your head before the Maharaja."

Mithyaaj looked at Rakshadhoom with calm eyes and said, "Rakshadhoom, there is no need for this." Then he turned towards Aarav and said, "Manav(human), say what you want without hesitation. There is no need to be afraid here."

Aarav: "Your both names... I'm sorry, but these names sound a bit old."

Rakshadhoom (angrily): "Manav(human)! Control your tongue. Stop making fun of Maharaja (king of kings) and me again and again."

Aarav(panicked): "I am sorry, I didn't mean to do that."

(Mithyaaj bursts into light laughter.)

Mithyaaj: "Ha-ha-ha! Manav, you are right. Our names are really very old. We got these names when this world was created.Since then, we are the protector and ruler of this world."

Aarav(surprised): "This world! So when was this world created?"

Rakshadhoom: "About six to eight lakh years ago."

Aarav (surprised): "You both are so ancient? It's hard to believe this."

Mithyaaj (in a serious tone): "All this is true, manav (human). This world was created so that any pure hearted being, who in his last moments has a strong desire to live again,to be given another chance."

Aarav(excitedly): "So this means I can become alive again?"

Rakshadhoom (in a serious tone): "No, the process is not that simple. Actually you have two options."

Aarav(shocked): "Two ways? Which two ways?"

Mithyaaj: "Let me explain to you. Only I and my servant live in this world. When this world was created, it had only one purpose—to give a second chance to life to those with pure hearts,Those who deserve it. When we came here, we also had to choose between these two paths."

Aarav(shocked): "You mean the first way is to become immortal and stay in this world forever?"

Rakshadhoom (smiling): "Manav, I did not expect so much wisdom from what you have said till now. But yes, you are absolutely right. This is the first way."

(Mithyaaj nods with a light laugh.)

Mithyaaj: "Right, Manav. But remember, you too will have to choose one of these two paths. Now listen to the second path..."

(Mithyaaj pauses for a while and speaks in a deep voice.)

Mithyaaj: "The other way is 'Punarjanam'. We call it the reincarnation system. If you choose this, you will be reborn in a new world—a world full of mysteries and adventures. But remember, you will not be immortal there. Your lifespan will be limited, and you will not be reborn after death."

Aarav (in a serious tone): "And that new world... what will it be like?"

Mithyaaj: "That world is fascinating, but also very difficult. Every day there will be a new challenge, and your life will not be easy. Now the decision is in your hands, human. Think and tell me, which path will you choose—immortality or reincarnation?"

Aarav: "I choose reincarnation."

Rakshadhoom (surprised): "Manav, you have a lot of time. Think carefully. Wait a minute... Whattttttttt! How did you decide so quickly?"

Aarav (smiling): "This decision was easy to make. By being immortal, I will be stuck in this desolate place forever. But by being reborn, I can relive the moments of my lost life. I can fulfill the dreams that remained unfulfilled. And secondly, you both have been here for so many years, but apart from you, no one else has chosen immortality. This also says a lot."

(Mithyaaj starts laughing out loud.)

Mithyaaj: "Hahahaha! Manav, I don't know whether to appreciate your intelligence or laugh at your haste."

(Mithyaaj pauses, then speaks in a serious tone.)

Mithyaaj: "There have been very few people as brave as you. To be honest, only five people before you chose reincarnation. And he too decided after thinking for two-three days. But you decided as soon as you heard it. I liked it."

(A light smile appears on Mithyaaj's face.)

Mithyaaj: "Before your rebirth I give you a boon. In your new life you will get the power to talk to me once a month. If you need my help, I will definitely help you with my years of experience and knowledge. This is a reward for your courage."

Aarav: "Thank you very much. But can I ask you one thing?"

Rakshadhoom (irritated): "Are you going to make fun of me again?"

Aarav (getting serious): "No-no, there is nothing like that."

Mithyaaj (smiling): "Yes, ask. Your questions are always interesting."

Aarav: "If only five people in all these millions of years chose reincarnation, then where did the rest go?"

(Rakshadhoom and Mithyaaj remain silent for a moment. Seriousness begins to show in Mithyaaj's eyes.)

Rakshadhoom: "Do you really want to know that?"
