"Come, let me help you up," Lexy said, but she received a glare from Kayla, who pushed her hand away, standing up by herself.
"Scared?" Lexy taunted, making Kayla scoff, smirking back at her.
"I've never been scared of darkness, so why should I be scared of a little teeny weeny Lexy?" Lexy smirked deeply at her but quickly replaced it with a false smile.
"Can we go now?" Raven asked, glaring at the two girls, who were exchanging mocking smiles.
"Yeah," Lexy said, picking Kayla up by the hand. The latter felt irritated by the girl's clingy attitude.
...Minutes later...
Inside a black limo.
"Really?" Raven stated, glaring at Lexy, who was seated at the driver's seat.
"Yeah," Lexy answered, her gaze focused on the road.
"Anyways, Kayla, can we crash at your place for now?" Raven asked, making Kayla frown.
"What for? Don't you have your own place?" she asked, causing both girls to fall silent.
"You see, Kayla, my parents wouldn't permit me sneaking out of school. They'd make me return and serve the detention. They'd even scold me for playing with my future. They're really strict, and they'd cut off my allowance, which is not something I want to happen..." she said.
"So, why don't you stay and stop ditching school? Your parents are right," Kayla said, making both girls frown.
"You're not gonna help us, are you?" Lexy asked with a frown on her face. Kayla sighed and continued.
"Anyways, as a token for sneaking me out of detention, I'll let you stay," Kayla said, and they smiled, with Raven squeezing her to death in her stupid bear hug.
Soon, the limo screeched to a stop at a cabin. They all got out, with Lexy and Raven giving the place a curious gaze.
"Wow, it's refreshing," Lexy murmured as she closed her eyes, letting the fresh air surround her, her back leaning against the car.
"It's so quiet here," Raven said. Just as Raven finished her statement, they heard a car horn and saw horrible smoky air surrounding them, making Kayla facepalm herself.
"Really?" she thought to herself.
"Oh my god, I think I'm gonna die," Raven said, holding her stomach and head, standing in an awkward position, making both girls roll their eyes.
"Come on, let's go," Kayla said, and they both followed her, taking in the beautiful scenery before them, which was covered in stinking smoke. Despite the smoke, it was still pleasant and neat.
"Is there a beach here?" Lexy asked.
"Yeah, but I haven't taken a walk around since I'm a little new here," she said, earning a nod from them.
"Oooh."
"Roman!" Kayla yelled, hitting her fist on the car.
"Kayla, look, I'm busy! I'm not in the mood right now," Roman yelled from underneath the car.
"And who said I'm in the mood to argue with you? I just called to check if you're in that thing, and please stop using it to make noise!" At her last statement, Roman came out with a frown on his face.
Meanwhile, Raven and Lexy dropped their jaws at the sight of him.
"Oh my gosh!" Lexy murmured under her breath.
"Yeah, he's even more handsome in person," Raven concluded.
"And who are they?" Roman asked, glaring daggers at Kayla.
"Just some friends. Oh, why do you ask? Suddenly had a crush on them?" Kayla said, making Roman frown as he immediately made his way back under the car.
"Wow, do you know who he is?" Raven was the first to ask, her gaze still fixed on the car from which Roman had just gotten out.
"Yeah," Kayla answered sluggishly. "I mean, do you know who exactly he is outside the ring?" Raven asked.
"Ring?" Kayla asked, her eyes widening.
"Yeah, ring," Raven continued, and this time, it was Lexy who chimed in.
"You don't know, do you?" Lexy asked, her gaze, which was taking in the environment, now fixed on Kayla.
"Yeah, as I said before, if you're not deaf, I just arrived here a few days ago," Kayla said, making both girls stare at each other before fixing their gaze on her.
"Fine. Anyways, I'm hungry," Lexy said, feeling at home as she made her way to the kitchen, causing Kayla to sigh.
"Don't you know how to respect someone's privacy?" Raven yelled at her, taking the two packs of noodles from her hands that she was about to boil and putting them back in the carton.
"Of course I know, but I really need to fill my stomach," Lexy stated, snatching the pack of noodles back from her hands.
"Aren't you gonna stop her? She can't cook. She might end up burning down this kitchen," Raven said, earning a frown from Kayla.
"Look, Le—"
"I know, I promise I won't burn down your kitchen," Lexy said pleadingly, placing her hands on her chest, giving her best puppy-dog eyes, which made Kayla sigh.
"Fine."
With that, Lexy made five packs instead of two, earning a frown from Raven, who glared at her.
"They're plenty. You know it's not good to waste food, right?" Raven said, glaring at Lexy, making Lexy wonder what was up with the girl.
"I never knew a spoiled princess like you cared about wasting food," Lexy remarked, continuing, "Aren't you eating?"
"Why should I eat food from a low-star chef like you?" Raven said, which only made Lexy boil with anger but swallow her words.
"Nah, I don't want to die young," Raven continued.
"And it's a good thing you're not eating, because I wasn't gonna give you any," Lexy said, now focused on her food as she chopped some carrots and fresh tomatoes, making Raven frown in displeasure.
"You're cooking noodles for crying out loud, not a—"
"DAMN IT, WHY DON'T YOU JUST MIND YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS? I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T EAT MY FOOD! CALLING ME A BAD CHEF. SINCE YOU DON'T WANT TO EAT, WHY DON'T YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND MIND YOUR BUSINESS!" Lexy snapped angrily, her beautiful face burning with rage.
