Long Zhan's attack was not a special forces technique, but it was as explosive as a bomb.
Fast, fierce, and powerful.
First, he exerted force with his hind legs, pushing off the ground. During the forward motion, he transferred the force from his legs to his waist. As he turned his body sideways, he concentrated the energy to his right side and, in one swift motion, collided with the muscular black man's chest.
This entire movement wasn't random or some mystical martial art.
It belonged to traditional Chinese martial arts, a technique where one uses their own body as a weapon to explode with full force in an instant. The resulting impact is terrifyingly powerful.
It's called the "Iron Mountain Knock"!
When an ordinary person uses Iron Mountain Knock to strike, they can knock someone of similar build back two to three meters.
Long Zhan, standing at 1.94 meters and weighing an astounding 204 kilograms, unleashed a charging Iron Mountain Knock that was like a rhino on the attack.
The black man, who was over 1.80 meters tall, had just turned his attention back to Long Zhan.
And then…
He found himself flying through the air!
Long Zhan grew farther away in his vision as a sharp pain shot through his back. With a thunderous crash, he slammed into the modular wall of the training facility.
The force sent his body flying another four meters or more.
He finally smashed through several modular components, landing with a thud, his back hitting the ground first. He felt a tightness in his chest, struggled to breathe, and then everything went black.
"Fuck, this cheating bastard, did he grow up eating trains? How can he hit so hard?"
This was the only resentment in the black man's mind before he passed out.
Long Zhan's explosive attack took care of the black man. As his body followed through and collapsed to the ground, he raised his gun and aimed at the woman on the couch.
Holding a deadly weapon and showing intent to attack, the conditions for a lethal shot were met. Long Zhan didn't hesitate to pull the trigger.
Two bullets flew, one hitting the woman in the upper chest, the other landing perfectly in her head.
He had deliberately allowed the woman to pick up the gun to meet the conditions for a fatal shot, then used his momentum to neutralize the man, finishing off the woman as she fell.
In less than two seconds, Long Zhan took care of both targets.
This was Long Zhan's plan!
A flawless action, in his eyes.
On the suspended walkway, Chief Instructor Malcolm, Special Training Instructor Aidan, Team B Leader Jason, and Deputy Leader Lei, four veterans with over 10 to 20 years of special forces experience, looked at the mess the black man had created as he was knocked out.
They stared at each other, at a loss for words.
The noise from the training ground had attracted the attention of the new recruits waiting in the rest area. They came out, puzzled.
"What? What's going on? Are the terrorists here?"
Seeing the scene of devastation, with one of the training partners unconscious on the ground, the new recruits were completely bewildered.
They couldn't imagine what had happened to turn the training room into this.
Jason and the others, at a distance, and the new recruits were all confused by the scene, but the nearest woman, especially, was frozen.
Holding her gun limply with her right hand, her eyes stared blankly at Long Zhan, as if petrified by Medusa's gaze.
She perfectly embodied the shock of being stunned!
She couldn't even imagine what kind of impact it would have left on her if she were the one to be hit.
From that moment on, an uncontrollable thought started flooding her mind.
From now on, any training or assessments involving Long Zhan, she would avoid at all costs. No amount of extra pay could make her risk her life.
She didn't want to earn money with her life on the line or spend it on hospital bills.
Just as everyone else stood frozen in shock, with the entire training facility plunged into silence, Long Zhan broke the stillness once more.
The woman, who had been shot in the head yet "forgot to die," was shot once more as a bonus.
At that moment, the woman finally snapped back to her senses, realizing that after being shot in the head, she should have collapsed to play dead, not sat there dazed.
With that, she quickly tilted her body and lay back on the couch, playing dead.
Then, something absurd happened.
The first man who had been killed, initially distracted by the commotion caused by the black man, couldn't resist pretending to rise from the dead to watch the show.
Seeing the woman get a follow-up shot, he feared Long Zhan might come over and give him the same rhino charge.
With a scream, he "died" again.
His scream was loud, as if making sure Long Zhan could hear it clearly.
His acting was on point, truly worthy of his training stipend, but sadly, he wasn't the focus of attention now.
Long Zhan, now the absolute star, had already started dealing with the aftermath.
He ran over to the black man, checked his vital signs, confirmed he was just unconscious with some "minor injuries," and threw him over his shoulder, jogging back to the training room.
Only then did he raise his hand and call out, "Safe!"
Upon hearing Long Zhan's declaration of "safe," everyone in the corridor exchanged glances, their expressions strange as they compared it to the chaos they now saw before them.
The training ground was indeed safe—maybe even too safe.
Not only had three training partners been injured—two dead, one wounded—but even the ones who hadn't entered the field were hit by falling modular components, suffering some scratches.
The most uncomfortable of them all was Malcolm.
Long Zhan had already completed his assessment, and logically, he should have moved on to the third scenario. But now, looking at the mess Long Zhan had made, Malcolm couldn't find the words.
The second scenario had turned into this, and he didn't know how to proceed.
Originally, the second scenario was perfectly designed to create a no-win loop. Whether the recruits dealt with the woman first or the man, they would fail and lead into the third scenario, as described by Clay—no matter what, it would highlight their flaws.
But now?
Long Zhan had completely ignored the conventional path and used his T0-level abilities to flawlessly neutralize both the man and the woman.
If they had all been killed, that would be one thing, but Long Zhan's micro-operations were still impeccable.
Without holding any lethal weapons or showing attack intent, Long Zhan subdued the black man in the field by knocking him out.
That was entirely within special operations rules—no flaws.
The woman hadn't shown any lethal intent at first either, but after secretly picking up a gun, she posed a high threat. Long Zhan didn't hesitate and eliminated her, still following all the necessary procedures.
This meant that…
Long Zhan had achieved a perfect pass in the second scenario, becoming the only recruit to do so.
Now, the third dialogue-based scenario, which was supposed to follow the second scenario's failure, had nowhere to go.
What should they do now?
Chief Instructor Malcolm, at a loss, turned to Special Training Instructor Aidan.
Aidan had designed this scenario, but he never anticipated a recruit would pass the second scenario so perfectly, so he hadn't prepared a follow-up plan.
Faced with Malcolm's plea for help, he could only smile wryly, shrug, and say, "Sir, Kiberen did great, didn't he? I don't think we need a further assessment.
Of course, you're the highest authority here, and the final decision is in your hands."
