Jeremy sat in the large lecture hall containing dozens of students. He placed his hand to his face, lifting it high, trying his best not to fall asleep from the boring lectures.
It was the worst class everyone hated, but it was surely compulsory—it was about beast studies. If biology was a hard course, this was the insanity of it.
He stuck one of his hands into his pocket and took out a small stick sweet, opening it and stuffing it in his mouth, licking vigorously to keep himself busy and awake.
Then, out of boredom, he started looking around the room. Eric was in his regular spot with the ladies, as usual, and...
His eyes noticed someone missing. Aldric, who was supposed to be by Elliot and Mike's side, was gone.
'Did he go to use the toilet or decide to miss the lecture? For what reason?'

Meanwhile
After a few more tests, taking everything in while Alistair finalized a few details about him, Kael was finally released.
Luckily, it was time for class, and most students were attending lectures, so he did not encounter anyone in the halls.
After all he had experienced that day, he was ready to call it quits and miss every single lecture they had planned.
'I'd rather sleep throughout today. I'll go with Jeremy tomorrow to attend classes.'
As he walked through the hallways back to the hostel, his eyes finally met someone else's.
It was a student in the distance, holding a book in his hands and reading. It felt strange, as classes were already going on, and yet this person was casually standing by the wall with a book.
After pondering about this person, he decided not to bother himself with it. Since it was none of his business, he sped up to pass by the person.
As he got close enough, however, he immediately recognized the student. It was Aldric.
'Oh boy.'
Now there was trouble. He didn't need anyone to tell him Aldric had specifically left class just to deal with him after he left the nurse's office. And here they were, in a perfect, large hall set for a one-on-one battle with no interruptions.
Kael stopped in his tracks and pocketed his hands. "You came for me, didn't you?"
Saying this, he noticed a change in Aldric's facial expression. It was a grim smile that irritated Kael.
"It's good to see you catch on fast," Aldric said, dropping the book to the ground. "You don't really think you can just do as you like with higher grades and get away with it because of the devil. You're kidding if you think so."
Kael shook his head. "It's quite nice you're here. I really wanted a rematch with you. I've given our battle some thought and would like to go at it again."
Without bothering about any onlookers, that is.
Aldric grew infuriated at how Kael spoke, grinding his teeth and clenching his fists as he took a few steps closer before stopping. "Don't get cocky, you asshole. I wasn't even going full power on you in the cafeteria."
Kael tightened his fists. He too had held back in the cafeteria, believing he couldn't use his full strength and speed on humans. But now that he had seen a nurse who could treat broken bones and flesh wounds in minutes, there was no way he was holding back.
"Why no reply, you bastard!" Aldric yelled, pointing a hand at Kael and letting out an outburst of air toward him.
Kael, knowing what to expect, sidestepped to the left, evading the attack fully.
But he wasn't out of it yet. Aldric was already sending another gust of air with his other arm.
The attack was too fast for Kael to dodge completely. He sidestepped to the right, but the wind grazed him, shaking the skin of his hand and sending a burst of pain through him.
Kael gritted his teeth. He needed to get closer to Aldric to make his attack count, and that wasn't happening any time soon.
Aldric was already sending another wave of air, which Kael managed to dodge again.
[HP: 7/10]
The air grazing his skin caused more pain than Kael expected. He never believed mere air could hurt so much.
'This guy is fighting in his own environment. I can't win in this spacious room!'
Kael ducked another wave of air and used the opportunity to grab his shoe, yanking it from his leg and hurtling it at Aldric without aiming.
Luckily, his senses guided him, and the shoe flew straight at Aldric's groin.
Aldric predicted the attack and blasted it back with a gale of wind, sending the shoe to the ground.
"What's that supposed to b—"
His words hung in his mouth as Kael burst into a sprint away from him. Kael was making a run for it, and Aldric felt like a fool for falling for such a cheap trick.
"Come here, you!"
He began chasing Kael down the hallways, trying to get in range to land a powerful attack. But Kael was far faster than a normal human, staying just far enough to avoid being hit.
Kael, on the other hand, wasn't running away. If he wanted to, he could've lost Aldric by the third turn. Instead, he was leading him somewhere.
After several minutes of running, Kael stopped by a door and opened it, stepping inside.
It didn't take Aldric long to stop at the door. A smile spread across his face.
"F—fool. You just bought your death ticket running into the school store."
He blasted the door open with a gale of wind and looked through the room, lit by bulbs hanging from the ceilings.
There was nothing but piles of junk—and no Kael. Clearly, it was a setup for a surprise attack.
'In that case, I could kill him here without anyone realizing a thing.'
Aldric's smile widened as he concentrated his wind ability, forming tornadoes around his hands.
"Where are you, runt? Come on, don't tell me all that big talk was for nothing!" Aldric yelled, unconcerned about giving away his location. What did he have to fear? He was stronger.
But Aldric was wrong.
A large shadow plummeted from above him, and he noticed it too late.
He directed both hands upward, blasting a strong gust of wind to tear the chunks of metal into pieces. Despite this, the debris landed hard, tearing his skin and flesh, making him bleed uncontrollably.
"Argh! Fuck you, bas—"
His screams were cut short as Kael came from behind with a large metal chunk resembling a club, striking Aldric's neck with all his might.
A gasp escaped Aldric as he flew a few meters before crashing face-first to the ground, unconscious.
Kael dropped the chunk in relief. "Man, I won." He wiped sweat from his face, glad his plan worked.
[Congratulations on defeating a human.]
[3 EXP gained.]
Kael smiled at the notification—until a few more appeared.
[You have successfully killed your first human.]
'Killed... I killed him... oh shit.'
