Renjiro and Yukari reached the server room amidst heavy gunfire. The air was thick with tension as they engaged Kaede's mercenaries. Renjiro's movements were precise, each shot finding its mark, while Yukari provided cover fire.
"Yukari, how much longer?" Renjiro yelled, his voice strained over the commotion.
"I'm working on it!" Yukari snapped, fingers flying across the keyboard as she attempted to bypass Kaede's security protocols.
Suddenly, the door behind them creaked open. Renjiro spun, gun drawn, only to lower it in shock when he saw Aiko standing there, disheveled but determined.
"What the hell are you doing here?" he barked.
Aiko hesitated, her eyes darting to the chaotic scene around her. "I—I couldn't just sit there! You need help!"
"This is no place for you!" Renjiro yelled, his voice tinged with both anger and fear.
Before either could say more, a mercenary burst through the side entrance, gun raised. Without thinking, Aiko grabbed a nearby wrench and threw it, distracting the intruder long enough for Renjiro to take him down.
Renjiro stared at her, half-impressed, half-horrified. "You're going to get yourself killed."
"Then don't leave me behind!" Aiko shot back, her voice unwavering.
