Kaede's voice filled the room through the speakers. "You really are full of surprises, Renjiro. And you've brought a civilian to the party? How careless."
"Kaede, end this madness!" Renjiro shouted, scanning the room for her location.
Kaede laughed, her voice cold and mocking. "End it? I'm just getting started. The files I've accessed—your precious agency secrets—they're all mine now. It's only a matter of time before I expose everything."
Yukari cursed under her breath. "She's bluffing! I've locked her out of the system."
"Locked me out?" Kaede's laugh deepened. "Oh, Yukari, you've only delayed the inevitable."
As her words echoed, explosions rocked the facility. Yukari's screen flashed red, warning of widespread damage to the building's infrastructure.
"We have to go!" Yukari shouted.
"No!" Renjiro snapped. "Not until we've secured the servers."
