The bustling streets of Shibuya felt suffocating as Renjiro and Yukari navigated the crowd. Their target was a seemingly abandoned apartment building, one of the agency's many hidden safehouses.
"Stay sharp," Yukari whispered as they approached the building. "She'll have the place rigged."
Inside, the air was thick with tension. Renjiro's sharp eyes scanned the room, spotting several tripwires and motion sensors. Yukari moved with practiced ease, disabling traps while Renjiro covered her.
As they reached the main server room, the lights flickered, and a chilling laugh echoed through the building.
"Welcome, little spies," Kaede's voice said through the speakers. "Did you really think it would be this easy?"
Suddenly, the door slammed shut, and the room filled with gas. Renjiro acted quickly, pulling out a small device to neutralize the toxins. Yukari hacked into the system, trying to regain control, but Kaede's defenses were too strong.
"We're running out of time!" Yukari shouted.
Renjiro spotted a ventilation shaft and led them out just as explosions rocked the building. As they escaped to the rooftop, they saw a drone hovering above, projecting a hologram of Kaede's smirking face.
"Next time, you won't be so lucky," she said before the drone exploded, leaving them in the chaos of the night.
