Lilith
I carried a boar on my shoulders as Annalise carried two. Troy protested, wanting to carry one but we both firmly said no. He pouted, causing us to laugh. I started to feel my bite mark heat up, oddly.
I halted as I felt a searing pain go through the bite mark on my neck. I winced as I continued forward. I straightened up once it subsided, feeling a new pain in my back where I was skewered. I reached down, slowly gliding my fingers over it as I felt the warmth of blood slide down my fingers. I pulled my fingers up in front of me as I frowned. I haven't been this slow in healing since my branding, and I got an infection.
"I'm sorry, it's our magic, it's depleted. It'd regain faster if you were next to Sebastian." Lilly huffed.
"How?" I questioned; her sentence didn't make sense to me.
"When you're next to your mate your body heals faster and your magic regains faster. It'd help if you marked him too..."
"No. That's not happening, and I'm not making that decision until I have a discussion with him and tell him what happened the night he died." I whispered back. She mumbled in protest. 'Wasn't I near Sebastian enough?' I asked her. She shook her head no, saying because I won't rest. Sighing, I threw the boar on the back of my horse as Annalise threw one on Troy's horse, then her own. We all mounted our rides, heading back to the palace.
I listened to Troy and Annalise banter and flirt as I swayed on my horse. Lilly kept telling me to focus, worry coated her voice, but I was too tired. I sighed as the palace came into view. We trotted through the gates, heading to the courtyard. I saw Sebastian standing angrily waiting for us.
Troy halted his horse, hopping off it as Sebastian strode towards us.
"The fuck Troy?!" He chewed the poor kid out. I slid off my horse, bracing myself against it.
"Hey! It's not his fault, it's mine. I went to hunt for George, Troy offered to come along. Don't yell at him for being a good guard." I hissed as I gripped the saddle tightly, keeping myself up.
Sebastian's eyes narrowed on me as he quickly came to my side. He scanned my body with his eyes, reaching behind my back and grazing the semi-healed wound on me. He bared his teeth as frustration ran over him.
"Why don't you just fucking listen to me!" He hissed as he scooped me up, his anger rolling off of him causing Annalise and Troy to hide. I tried shoving him away, but his grip was tight.
"Because things need to be done and I refuse to sit ideally by." I winced as his hold slightly pulled apart my wound.
"What good will you be if you're dead Lilith?" He seethed at me as his anger did not wave. I felt my own anger rise. Lilly shook her head, no, but it was too late. I was mad at her, mad at him for telling me what to do, mad at the pain, and mad at everything that happened within the past week.
I shoved myself out of his arms with the last strength I had, which was surprisingly a lot. The look of shock rolled over his face as I fell to the floor landing on my back. I cursed as I shoved myself up. I swayed as I glared at him.
"YOU... DO NOT- GET TO CONTROL ME!" I roared out as I pointed my finger at him. I saw Troy and Annalise peeking around the corner, they dipped out of view when my eyes caught them.
"I'm mad Sebastian! I get to do things to make myself feel better!" I yelled as my shoulders slumped forward. "I get to try and help out the man I lo-like!" I caught myself before I slipped up. My heart started pounding as Lilly laughed at how I almost slipped the 'I love you'. Do I? Can I? My vision slowly started spinning, I didn't see him standing over me. He grabbed my chin roughly, tilting my head upwards.
"And I'm allowed to tell you what to do..." He leaned down as his words were full of concern but had a bite to them. "Because you're MINE." He pulled his head back as his face twisted in my vision. The way he said mine... was so hot. Before I knew it, I was back in his arms as he carried me to his room.
"I can... walk Sebastian," I mumbled as I rested my head on his chest.
"No." He firmly said as he landed on the third floor. My head flopped backward as my eyes closed. I heard the door open as he mumbled something, taking me to the bed and placing me down.
"Sebastian... I..." I whispered out as I turned towards him. "I'm sorry... I reached out to him. He snatched my hand tightly as he grumbled out, "Never apolo-"
"I was the thing that knocked you off your horse." I cut him off as silence fell over the room. I didn't hear his response as I passed out.
I don't know how long I was out. I just remember dreaming about everything. My trials, the contracts I had to do, my sister, mother, Sebastian and the slave ring. The fear, the pain, the pleasure, the happiness.
I don't know how I ended up in a dark hall wearing a white dress. I was holding a white bouquet of roses as I walked down an aisle, each side full of faces I didn't recognize. As I approached the alter Sebastian was there. I took in a sharp breath as he looked exquisite. I slowly made my way up the steps, him reaching his hand out for mine. As I placed mine within his, we were snapped to a battlefield. I was in my armor as he was in his. He turned towards the horizon as my mother and our clan stood there with countless armored men. I felt a sharp pain run through my body, causing me to jolt awake.
I flung myself forward, wheezing as I felt sweat drip from my forehead. Lilly shushed me, trying to calm me down. I saw Cranston sitting next to me holding a needle.
"Wh-what the fuck?!" I pulled away from him. Sebastian sat next to me; he wrapped his arm around me as I looked up at him.
"You were out for 3 days little lamb; you spiked a fever. Cranston was just giving you some medicine to help Lilly and you regain some strength." Cranston nodded silently as he turned to collect his supplies and leave. 'What happened?' I questioned Lilly.
"You over-exerted yourself. I was still re-cooperating, so your body crashed. I'm sorry Lilith." Lilly nuzzled me apologetically.
"No, I'm sorry I should have listened to you and Sebastian." I whispered out. I felt slight chuckle escape from Sebastian's chest.
"About time you admit I was right." He leaned his head on mine as I puffed my cheeks out in frustration. I felt his fingers wrap around my chin, tilting my head up towards his.
"Don't ever do that again..." He closed his eyes, leaning his forehead on mine. "You scared the crap out of me." He whispered as I pulled my brows together apologetically. My heart sank as the realization of what I last said to him sunk in. I so desperately wanted to ask him what his thoughts were, but my mouth was excessively dry.
As if he read my mind, he shifted and got off the bed, heading to the nightstand and grabbing the pitcher that sat there. He filled up a glass, handing it to me. My hands were trembling as my fingers slipped down the glass. I flung a slew of curse words as I hated that I couldn't even get the strength to hold a glass. Lilly giggled as I tried again.
Sebastian let out a sigh, taking the glass and taking a big gulp, then bending over and forcing it in my mouth. My eyes widened as water slipped down the corners of my mouth. I swallowed as I leaned into his mouth, missing his taste. Before I knew it, I had my hands in his hair as I greedily took his tongue.
He slightly pushed off of me causing me to whimper.
"You... need rest little lamb." He stroked my cheek as he brought the glass up to my lips for me to sip on. I pouted as I took a sip, looking at him with a 'please' all over my face. He sucked air through his teeth as he looked away from me. My heart felt crushed.
