Sebastian
I could feel the uneasiness rolling off of Lilith. It didn't help that I could also feel the stares on us. Normally I wouldn't have minded it, but I wanted her to have an amazing night. Azazel grumbled as he started to get irritated by the way people were looking at us. I took a deep breath and focused on the only important thing here: her.
"So, I would suggest the salmon coulibiac, it's one of the best things here." I flipped the menu towards her, pointing at the item. She looked, scanning the description.
"I trust you know what's good, so if you suggest that, then I don't mind trying it." She shrugged her shoulders as she smiled at me. I ended up snagging a gulp in my throat. She's so beautiful. I leaned back, clearing my throat.
"Here you are." The waiter came back, placing down our drinks along with the bottle.
"What can I get you... Sir?" The waiter ignored Lilith, asking me the question. My eyebrow twitched.
"Well, it seems you're new here because you're supposed to ask the lady first what she would like." I folded my arms, glaring at him. His expression dropped.
"Ma'am, what may I interest you in?" He looked at her, clear disgust crossed his face. She noticed his disapproval. I sucked on my teeth as I turned to face him.
"May we have a new server? You know, someone who would treat my date with a little more respect?" I stared daggers into him. He adjusted himself and what left his mouth almost had me lunging across the table at him.
"No. I assure you, sir, all the waiters here would act the same way as me. Her kind... is not welcomed here." He stuck his nose up in the air. Lilith stiffened up.
"Ah, that's fine." I stood up, extending my hand for her to take. She hesitated then placed her hand in mine. "We'll go elsewhere. But do expect this place to be shut down by tomorrow night." I grinned at him as I guided Lilith to the front. He stammered and sputtered, hollering at us to wait and reconsider.
"George cooks better food anyway," I said loudly as we exited the building. We stepped out in the evening air as the other guests glared at us. God damn, what is everyone's problem? I felt Lilith tug on my sleeve.
"I'm... sorry. You spent so much on this dress just for me to ruin the evening." She sheepishly said as she looked down at the floor. I took her chin in my hand, lifting her head.
"No little lamb, you didn't do anything of the sort. It's these snobby ass peasants." I made sure to put emphasis on the word and annunciate it loudly, so everyone could hear it. I glanced at everyone staring at us. Fuck this, they want to judge and be assholes? Let them.
I placed my hand in the middle of her back, pulling her to me. I then took her mouth into mine as I kissed her. She muffled out a gasp of surprise as I ran my hand up into her hair, entangling my fingers in it. I pushed her mouth open, sliding in my tongue as I felt her melt into me. I heard the gasps from everyone, causing a smile to glide across my face as I greedily took her mouth in front of everyone.
I pulled away, her face was flustered. I wiped away the small amount of spit that dribbled out the corner of her mouth, then licked it off my thumb. I turned to the restaurant, flipping it off, then I turned to the crowd.
"Fuck you," I said very sternly as I grabbed her hand, taking her anywhere but here. I heard her giggle, which caused me to feel better about the whole situation.
"I'm sorry about that, I just wanted you to have a special night." I found myself saying to her as we walked down the path that led to the fountain, we sat at the first time we came here.
"It's ok Sebastian... it's my fault for thinking nothing would happen." She pursed her lips together. I sighed, stopping in my tracks and turning to her.
"It shouldn't. You and anyone else like you should be free to go into whatever restaurant they want." I cupped her face as the moonlight bounced off her skin. She looked at me with those hauntingly beautiful yellow eyes. I ran my hand down her cheek to her neck, then along her shoulder. I slid my hand down her arm, tracing her skin to her wrist. I then dragged them on her palm before I wrapped my fingers in between hers. She sucked in a breath.
"At least let me have a dance with you, little lamb." I lifted her hand, as I placed my hand in the middle of her back, pulling her close to me. She parted her lips as she gazed at me. She nodded as I started to move to the invisible music in my head.
I took a step as she followed. We moved gracefully under the stars. It was finally just us, as we tuned everything else and everyone around us out. I spun her around, her dress spinning beautifully as she smiled. I pulled her back to me as I dipped her. My mouth hovered over her collarbone. I pulled her up as she leaned her head on my chest. I swayed back and forth as I rested my head on hers.
"I promise Lilith, that when my father gets back, I will change the ways of Astion, " I whispered into her ear. She turned, placing a delicate kiss on my cheek as she answered, in that succulent, dangerous voice of hers.
"I know you will."
We headed back to the carriage, stopping by a bakery before it closed. I nabbed us some of those buns we ate when we were here last. We walked down the street, eating as she looked up at the sky.
"The stars are so pretty." She hummed as she chewed a bite of her bun. We heard a clock chime, indicating it was 8 pm. I hope George was still up when we got home, or I'd have to just whip us up some leftovers.
"Um... Sebastian?" Lilith asked as her mouth was on her food. She looked up at me as she swallowed her bite.
"Yes, Lilith?" I raised a brow at her. Azazel moaned as my eyes landed on her breasts. Her hand flung up to her neck as she glared at me.
"Stop that." She puffed her cheeks out. "Anyways, I wanted to say thank you." She stuffed another bite into her mouth as she mumbled. I chuckled, pushing into her slightly.
"Anything for you."
We arrived home; I helped her out of the carriage as I shot a quick thank you to Victor before he headed to put the horses away. Troy was standing out in front of us, I rolled my eyes. The look on his face told me all I needed to know.
"Welcome back sir…" he placed his arm across his chest as he bowed.
"What's wrong?" I scoffed as Lilith took her place next to me. His jaw tightened as he reached into his pocket, pulling out a piece of paper.
I snatched it from his hand, opening it. My heart sank.
"Dear Aster family,
We regret to inform you that your current guardian was a misplacement. The guardian you were supposed to receive will be arriving within the next week. We request when she does arrive, you send your current guardian, Lilith, back to Lahnust for reassignment.
Thank you and we apologize for the mix-up,
Eve from the Lahnust Clan."
I crumbled the paper up, tossing it to the side.
"What's up?" Lilith beamed at me. I gritted my teeth, then forced a smile.
"Nothing, it was just my parents saying hi." I took her hand in mine as I shot Troy a look to keep his mouth shut. I'll figure out what to do, but I am not going to ruin this with Lilith. Azazel growled as we entered the foyer.
"She's not going back… I'll kill anyone who tries to take her," he rumbled. I agreed. She's ours, and she's not going anywhere.
