Chapter 13 - The Aftermath

Things had been left unresolved between Lucinda and Des. The last time they had spoken, Des' life was a mess. He had been struggling to come to terms with his own darkness, and Lucinda's departure had left him feeling lost and alone.

But as the days turned into weeks, Des began to realize that Lucinda had been the one thing that had made him stronger. She had been his anchor, his guiding light, and without her, he was adrift.

Des' life was a mess, and he knew it. He had practiced ungodly activities, and now he was reaping the consequences. He was filled with regret, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he had lost the one person who truly mattered to him.

As he wandered through his empty, darkened house, Des couldn't help but feel a sense of despair wash over him. He had never felt so alone, so lost.

But then, one day, Chris came to visit. Chris had always been a good friend to Des, and he had a way of cutting through the darkness that surrounded him.

"Hey, man, what's going on?" Chris asked, as he sat down next to Des on the couch.

Des shook his head, feeling a lump form in his throat. "I don't know, Chris," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I feel like I've lost everything. Lucinda's gone, and I don't know how to get her back."

Chris put a hand on Des' shoulder, his eyes filled with compassion. "You need to pull yourself together, man," he said. "You can't just give up. Lucinda needs space, that's all. She'll come back to you when she's ready."

Des looked up at Chris, feeling a glimmer of hope. "You really think so?" he asked.

Chris nodded. "I know so," he said. "You and Lucinda are still in a relationship, even if it doesn't feel like it right now. All you need to do is be patient, and trust that she'll come back to you when the time is right."

Des took a deep breath, feeling a sense of determination wash over him. He was going to pull himself together, he was going to be patient, and he was going to trust that Lucinda would come back to him.

As Chris stood up to leave, Des felt a sense of gratitude towards his friend. Chris had reminded him that he wasn't alone, that he still had a chance to make things right with Lucinda.

"Thanks, Chris," Des said, as he walked his friend to the door. "I owe you one."

Chris smiled, and clapped Des on the back. "You don't owe me anything, man," he said. "Just take care of yourself, and trust that everything will work out in the end."

Des sat down on the couch, his mind racing with thoughts of his relationship with Lucinda. He thought back to their first three years together, when everything was perfect. They were in love, happy, and carefree. Des couldn't help but smile as he remembered the little things they used to do together, the way they would laugh and joke around.

But as he sat there, nostalgia turned to regret. Des became upset, thinking about how everything would have been normal if only he hadn't changed. He thought about how he had let his darkness consume him, and how that had driven Lucinda away.

Just as Des was starting to feel overwhelmed by his emotions, he heard a voice in his head. It was Chris, but not the Chris who had just left his house. This was the Chris who had shown up at his doorstep a few months ago, the Chris who had brought chaos and destruction into his life.

Des's eyes narrowed as he thought about how Chris had manipulated him, how he had used his vulnerabilities against him. Des realized that Chris had been the catalyst for the downfall of his relationship with Lucinda.

A wave of anger washed over Des as he thought about how Chris had ruined his life. He clenched his fists, feeling a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins. Des knew that he had to confront Chris, to make him pay for what he had done.

With a newfound sense of determination, Des stood up from the couch. He knew that he had a long and difficult road ahead of him, but he was ready to face whatever challenges came his way. Des was determined to reclaim his life, to rebuild his relationship with Lucinda, and to make Chris pay for his betrayal.

IS CHRIS REALLY THE WOLF HERE?
