Chapter 33 - Mission #2

The Strongest Man on Earth: "Do I get any say in this?"

I'm Not the Flower of the School: "Come on, Vermouth, let's talk for a moment."

The Witch of a Thousand Faces: "Okay."

I'm Not the Flower of the School: "King, let's be realistic..."

I'm Not the Flower of the School: "You don't have a choice!"

The Witch of a Thousand Faces: "True."

The Strongest Man on Earth: "Understood, understood. I'm not going to argue with you. Time is of the essence, so you two go first. But for the next mission... please give me priority!"

I'm Not the Flower of the School: "Alright, no problem. The next one's yours, I promise."

The Legendary Super Saiyan: "So, it's decided?"

I'm Not the Flower of the School: "Yes, Broly, me, and Vermouth."

The Legendary Super Saiyan: "Perfect. I'm accepting the mission now."

Without wasting time, Broly opened the missions section and, without hesitation, accepted the one posted by Nobara.

As soon as he did, his icon appeared on the participants' list. Shortly after, the icons of Chu Mengxi and Vermouth joined his.

The Legendary Super Saiyan: "Alright, let's go."

I'm Not the Flower of the School: "@I Know How to Use a Hammer, wait for us. We're almost there."

With the experience of their first interdimensional travel, the second time felt much smoother.

That strange sensation of being transported engulfed him once again. Before he could fully process it, Broly vanished from the spot.

...

Jujutsu Kaisen Universe

Nobara leaned against the cold wall, panting as she tried to regain her strength. Her sharp eyes scanned the room, alert to every detail.

She was still trapped in the Detention Center, still within the cursed spirit's domain.

"I just hope the next ones I run into aren't worse than that damned curse..." she muttered under her breath.

Although she tried to stay calm, doubts lingered in the back of her mind.

In her conversations with the group members, they all seemed so confident, as if they didn't truly understand the real danger of a Special-Grade Curse.

Was it because of how she had explained things?

Words weren't enough to convey the sheer terror of facing one of those monsters.

"Broly..." she repeated, recalling the name that everyone in the group spoke of with admiration. "Legendary Super Saiyan... What the hell is a Saiyan?"

Her brow furrowed in confusion. She couldn't help but feel skeptical.

What kind of being could command such respect in a group spanning the entire Multiverse?

Before she could dwell on it further, something caught her attention.

!

A chilling sensation coursed through her body.

Her eyes focused immediately.

In a dark corner of the room, a group of cursed spirits watched her with hungry eyes.

They weren't like the ones she had faced before; these curses had the grotesque forms of giant mushrooms. But the worst was the monstrous figure behind them: a colossal toad, over five meters tall, with a body so massive it looked like it could break through the ceiling.

Nobara's heart skipped a beat.

She couldn't believe what she was seeing. The cursed spirits didn't seem to realize she had already noticed them. They were waiting for the perfect moment to pounce.

Gritting her teeth, she forced her mind into overdrive. She needed a plan. She needed time.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to steady the trembling in her hands. If she could recover even a little strength, she might escape. But fighting... no, that wasn't an option.

Without cursed energy, she couldn't even lift her hammer, let alone face a group of these things.

But then, as if sensing her weakness, the curses attacked all at once.

!

The giant toad led the charge, snapping its slimy tongue toward her with astonishing speed. The grotesque appendage, long and whip-like, surged forward. If it reached her, there was no doubt what would happen: she would become food for these damned creatures.

Nobara tried to move. But her body refused to respond, exhausted and pinned against the wall. Her eyes, however, stayed fixed on the approaching tongue.

Fear gripped her, but so did a simmering frustration. She couldn't let it end like this!

"Someone... someone, please!"

The curse's tongue was mere millimeters from her when suddenly, three columns of light erupted in the room. It was as if the domain itself shattered, flooding the space with brilliant illumination.

Before she could even blink, three figures emerged from the light, moving with incredible speed and precision.

Chaos unfolded in milliseconds. The mushroom-like curses were sent flying as punches and kicks tore through them. The strikes were fast, deadly, and terrifyingly efficient.

Nobara barely managed to notice that two of the figures had something white covering their hands.

The third figure, by comparison, seemed slower... or so she thought at first. But he wasn't slow.

He was anything but slow.

His apparent calm was a deception. Each of his movements was almost superhuman, bending the very space around him.

Before Nobara could process it, that figure positioned himself directly in front of her. With a simple motion, he extended his hand and caught the slimy tongue bare-handed, stopping it in its tracks.

The toad let out a piercing screech of pain, desperately trying to free its tongue, but it was futile.

"Broly...?" Nobara whispered, still slumped on the ground, staring in awe at the towering figure before her. The words slipped from her lips before she could stop them.

The wild-haired, impossibly muscular man didn't take his eyes off the curse.

But Nobara wasn't alone.

She recognized the other two figures now tearing through the remaining curses.

"Chu Mengxi and Vermouth are here too..." she murmured, still stunned.

"It's us!" Chu Mengxi chimed in confidently, taking a combat-ready stance.

"Leave this to us," Vermouth added with a calm but dangerous expression.

Meanwhile, Broly remained unmoving in front of Nobara, holding the toad's tongue firmly.

His grip tightened, eliciting another scream of pain from the curse.

Without a word, he began to spin his arm. The massive toad was lifted off the ground, spinning like a ragdoll in a whirlwind.

The five-meter-tall monster was flung around as if it weighed nothing, its screeches echoing through the room. The scene was absurd, yet there was something strangely mesmerizing about it.

Nobara stared, her jaw hanging, her eyes trembling at the spectacle.

What the hell was she witnessing?

In contrast, Chu Mengxi and Vermouth exchanged knowing smiles.

Finally, with a sharp motion, Broly released the tongue, sending the massive toad hurtling through the air like discarded trash.
