"Hold on to my hands!" Broly commanded, extending both hands toward the girls.
Vermouth grabbed his left hand, while Chu Mengxi took his right. Nobara, unable to find a place to hold on, glanced around awkwardly.
"..."
Finally, seeing no other option, she jumped up and wrapped her arms around Broly's neck. Though she had a respectable height for an ordinary woman, compared to Broly's towering figure of over two meters, she looked like a small, fragile doll.
In fact, she seemed more like she was hanging off him than holding on, resembling a koala clinging to a tree.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes!" the three replied in unison.
"Good!"
Without hesitation, Broly unleashed his Ki. A white energy enveloped the three girls, forming a radiant aura around them.
As his energy erupted, the ground beneath his feet cracked, forming a massive crater. The energy burst propelled them upward, launching them into the sky.
Walls and steel bars in their path disintegrated upon contact with the Ki, pulverized into nothingness. Even the nearby curses were erased by the shockwave.
"Kyaaa!" the three screamed, the speed so intense that they could barely process what was happening.
Except for Chu Mengxi, who seemed to have some understanding, Vermouth and Nobara were completely overwhelmed.
"Broly can fly!" Vermouth exclaimed, her eyes shining with awe as she watched everything vanish below them.
"Flying is pretty normal, isn't it?" Chu Mengxi responded with surprising calm, observing the scenes flashing by. As they passed through different areas—the medical bay, dormitories, offices—everything was reduced to rubble under their ascent.
Nobara, still trying to process the situation, frowned at her words.
Flying? Since when is flying normal?! There's nothing normal about this!
Is this that "Ki" they talk about in the group?
Maybe I should consider learning how to use it too…
"What's the principle behind this?" Vermouth asked, still confused but with a spark of curiosity.
"It's in the points shop," Broly replied, his eyes scanning the surroundings. "The principle is also related to Ki. In the shop, this is called the Flight Technique."
"Flight Technique…" Vermouth and Nobara silently memorized the name.
The idea of flying through the sky without planes or helicopters was something they had only dreamed of.
Flying on their own, with nothing but their own power, was a completely different kind of freedom—one unattainable for most humans.
"I found it."
Though it felt like a long time had passed, only a few seconds had gone by.
The Juvenile Center, now overtaken by an incomplete domain, had an interior far larger than its external appearance suggested. It was a deceptive space, akin to a miniature world.
But none of that seemed to matter to Broly.
Regardless of the laws or mysteries of the place, he simply moved forward, tearing through everything in his path.
Even while carrying the three girls, his movements didn't seem particularly slow.
Without hesitation, he lowered his head and rammed into a massive wall.
Boom
The wall crumbled, sending large chunks of rock flying in every direction. The ground trembled beneath their feet as a dense cloud of dust rose, obscuring their view.
Wasting no time, Broly released his Ki, dispersing the dust instantly.
Ahead of them, the scene was finally revealed: a Special-Grade cursed spirit was locked in combat with someone.
That "someone" was none other than Sukuna, the King of Curses, inhabiting the body of Itadori Yuji.
"Hey! Looks like we found it!"
"But there's only one person here… and they don't look very human," Vermouth remarked, turning to Nobara. "Nobara, take a look."
"Got it…" Nobara adjusted her position, climbing from Broly's neck to his shoulder for a better view.
Her eyes widened immediately as she recognized Itadori's body, but… this version of him had tattoos, long nails, and, most disturbingly, a malevolent aura.
"This isn't good!" she said tensely. "That's Sukuna! That's not my companion! Where's Megumi?!"
Nobara's words caught Sukuna's attention. He turned to them with a bloody smile.
With a nonchalant gesture, he scratched his ear with his pinky finger. "Megumi? Oh, you mean that other kid?" he said mockingly.
"I ate him."
Nobara froze in shock but quickly shook her head, trying to regain her composure.
She couldn't believe him—not when she knew who Sukuna was.
"That's a lie," she said firmly, her expression shifting to one of defiance. "Sorcerers would never endanger their companions. If Itadori let you out, it's because he made sure Megumi was safe."
Nobara's words made Sukuna's expression twist. His smile vanished, replaced by a look of irritation.
"An intelligent woman is never a good thing," he muttered coldly. "But since you know there's a strong curse here, why did you bring these three along?"
His annoyance turned into open disdain as he scanned the group with his sharp eyes.
"Just because you can fly doesn't mean you're strong," his gaze grew icy. "Once I'm done with this pest, I'll deal with you. Don't even think about running."
As he spoke, Sukuna clapped his hands, redirecting his focus to the cursed spirit.
"Hey, Nobara, can you explain what's going on?" Chu Mengxi asked, pointing at Sukuna with disdain before turning to Nobara. "Isn't that supposed to be your companion? How did he turn into this Sukuna guy?"
"It's complicated…" Nobara replied, still shaken. "I'll explain everything later."
Broly, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke.
"You can talk among yourselves. I have a mission to complete."
Broly knew exactly who Sukuna was—the King of Curses. But he had no intention of letting Sukuna interfere with his mission.
Without another word, he landed on the ground and set the three girls down. Then, in an authoritative tone, he warned:
"Don't move."
"Understood…" Vermouth and Chu Mengxi nodded, exchanging a glance.
