Broly stared at the spider legs scattered across the ground with a blank expression.
He remained silent for a moment, but soon kicked them one by one, disintegrating them with the sheer power of his blows.
After tasting real, homemade, delicious food, how was he supposed to keep eating this garbage?
A sudden sound interrupted his thoughts.
[Ding! The group member, "Valkyrie," has sent you an exclusive package. Do you want to accept it?]
He frowned slightly but accepted the notification with a simple thought.
[Accepted!]
Puff
Suddenly, four large tables brimming with celestial food and wine emitting an exquisite aroma appeared around him.
With a smile on his lips, he grabbed two of the tables with one hand and the other two with the other. His Ki enveloped the tables completely as he effortlessly lifted them.
Then, without a word, he flew at high speed toward his cave.
Upon arrival, he dropped the tables with a dry thud that echoed throughout the area. The plates and glasses on them wobbled but, miraculously, nothing fell.
!
The noise woke up Cheelai and Lemo, who had been bored playing with their feet.
Both turned to Broly, and upon seeing the tables full of food, they were utterly stunned.
"This… this…" Lemo barely managed to speak. His mouth filled with so much saliva that he could hardly keep it closed.
Cheelai, with eyes as wide as plates, pointed at the tables, "What is this? Where did you get so much food and these tables? And it looks incredible! I've never seen anything like this."
"It doesn't matter where it's from. Are you going to eat or not?" Broly looked at them calmly, crossing his arms.
"Eat?! Absolutely!" Cheelai nodded quickly as she pounced on a giant chicken leg. Without waiting another second, she took a big bite and mumbled with her mouth full, "This is amazing! It's like a dream… Those legs we ate before were disgusting compared to this…"
She suddenly stopped and looked at Broly nervously. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you or anything…"
"…"
Broly simply watched her in silence.
Lemo, on the other hand, couldn't resist anymore. He quickly approached and began sampling a little of everything.
"Cheelai, you have to try this!"
"Mm, this is amazing too!"
"Oh my god! Why does everything taste so good?"
It was prepared by a divine chef. How could it not be delicious?
Broly cast a disdainful look at the two with poor taste.
Completely forgetting that minutes earlier, he himself had devoured an entire table without leaving a trace.
"Hey, Broly, why aren't you eating?"
Cheelai tilted her head as she looked at him curiously. He had been standing to the side, silently observing them as if nothing happening interested him.
Broly replied impassively, "I'm not hungry."
"Not hungry?" Cheelai frowned.
Broly's words were absurd.
"After all the food you usually scarf down, and considering you didn't eat all night… How is it possible you're not hungry…?"
She stared at him, trying to uncover the lie.
Then her face lit up.
"I know! You must have eaten something in secret, didn't you?!" she exclaimed, pointing a finger at him accusingly.
Broly's face remained impassive, though a faint blush appeared on his cheeks. He quickly looked away, muttering under his breath, "Eating something I brought doesn't count as eating in secret."
"Hehehe, I see, I see~" Cheelai let out a teasing giggle, covering her mouth with a hand. Then, as if nothing had happened, she returned her focus to the table.
"Lemo, any news from Frieza's forces?"
Broly remained silent for a few moments before sitting beside them. His gaze shifted to Lemo, who was still devouring food like an animal.
Lemo looked up as he finished chewing a piece of fish.
"Yeah…" he said, swallowing before continuing. "They contacted me a while ago. They said they'd arrive tomorrow morning."
"Good." Broly glanced at the remaining food on the tables, mentally calculating. "It should be enough until tomorrow," he thought.
Unlike him, a Saiyan whose massive appetite was driven by constant training, Cheelai and Lemo had much more moderate appetites.
In no time, both lay back on the hay, letting out satisfied sighs as they rubbed their bellies.
It was clear yesterday's meal hadn't left them as content.
Broly, sitting nearby, glanced at them out of the corner of his eye as they lazily got up and prepared to leave.
Although they didn't share his intensity or capabilities, they had adopted a daily training routine that, while light, kept them busy.
As for himself, he knew he was still far from mastering hand-to-hand combat or martial arts.
His experience was limited, and he barely managed basic Ki techniques. However, his constant, albeit rudimentary, practice was beginning to bear fruit. At least it was much better than doing nothing.
…
Before long, Broly returned carrying something that, at first glance, seemed unreal: a mountain.
Yes, an entire mountain, and it wasn't small at all.
The massive rock dwarfed the landscape, casting an imposing shadow as he carefully set it down.
He had approached the mountain's base and struck it with his fists, breaking its foundation as if it were a simple pile of sand.
And thus, he got himself some weights.
Indifferent to the surreal scene, he placed one hand under the mountain, lifted it onto his shoulders, and began his training.
First, push-ups.
1, 2, 3…
10, 20, 30…
100, 200, 300…
100,000, 200,000, 300,000…
10 million, 20 million, 30 million…
Cheelai and Lemo, who had stepped out of the cave to see what he was doing, froze.
The only visible thing from where they stood was the mountain repeatedly rising and falling as if it had a life of its own.
"This… this can't be real…" Cheelai murmured, rubbing her eyes, trying to convince herself she wasn't dreaming.
The ground trembled with each movement of Broly.
Each time he went down, the impact caused the earth to shake as if an earthquake was hitting the area. The rumbles reverberated, and initially, the noise was unbearable.
However, as hours passed, both Cheelai and Lemo began to grow accustomed, though the spectacle remained surreal.
"This is insane!" thought Cheelai, watching the mountain move endlessly.
When the morning finally came to an end, Broly stood up, slightly hunched over, flexing his muscles as he let the mountain rest momentarily on his back.
But instead of stopping, he hurled it into the sky with a push.
The mountain ascended, momentarily disappearing into the heights. Then, Broly raised his right hand, focused his Ki, and launched a bright green laser toward it.
Whoosh!
The beam cut through the air, hitting the mountain within seconds.
Boom!
The ensuing flash lit up the sky like lightning, briefly blinding Cheelai and Lemo. The mountain wasn't just split into pieces; it was pulverized into tiny particles that descended like glittering rain, covering the ground with a fine gray dust.
Broly, unfazed, lowered his arm. Without a word, he turned around and walked calmly back into the cave.
Upon arriving, he served himself the remaining food and began eating while watching Cheelai and Lemo, who still stood dumbfounded at the cave's entrance.
He could clearly feel he had grown stronger.
And he was far from reaching his limit.
This made him wonder if his growth was truly limitless.
If it were.
Not only would he dominate Universe 7.
Even across the multiverses of Dragon Ball.
He could stand at the top.
"Do you want to train with me?"
Cheelai shook her head so fast it seemed her neck might snap. "No, no, no!" she replied, terrified. "I don't want to die today, thanks."
Broly turned his gaze to Lemo, who let out a nervous sigh as he waved his hands in rejection. "No, not for me. I'm too old for this stuff. I was never a fighter; in Frieza's army, I'm just a reserve member, you know, logistics… nothing combat-related…"
