=Hokkaido, Japan=
Ah, Hokkaido. It's a beautiful place to visit because of how snowy it is, with everyone having their moments like eating some ice cream or enjoying hot milk with different flavors, and children running around happily. Everyone who lives here is already used to the cold environment, well, except for one who just arrived in the place.
Y/N: *Shivers* Gah! It's cold and freezing out here!
Yes, as always in every fanfic story, this is Y/N L/N. For now, he is 15 years old, wearing the Jujutsu High uniform. He has spiky, hair of a H/C alongside eyes of a captivating shade of E/C. In terms of appearance, he is of average height, with a lean and muscular physique. On his left waist, there is a katana wrapped with a red cloth.
Y/N still shivers and sneezes from the cold winter, rubbing his hands vigorously and blowing on them to warm up. Without wasting any time, he begins to walk.
Taking out a photo from his pocket, he observed the old picture of a huge house. His teacher, Masamichi Yaga, had given him a mission to find missing people and investigate where they have been hiding, as the house in the picture is where people have been missing for over a year without notice until now.
But to Y/N, even though it's his first mission, he already complains about it.
Y/N: *Sighs* Can they just give me a mission in one place? Why do I have to go this far!? And I have to go back to Tokyo!
After a few hours, he arrived at the place he needed to go and now stood in front of it. Looking at the house, it was indeed huge but had been abandoned long ago. Then, looking at the sign at the front gate, it said, "WARNING: Do Not Enter These Buildings Without Permission."
Taking one last look at the old picture, Y/N confirmed that this is indeed the right place. He put the photo back in his pocket and entered without hesitation.
Once inside, Y/N lifted his right hand, closing only his little and ring fingers as he began chanting.
Y/N: "Yami yori idete yami yori kuroku sono kegare o misogiharae." (Emerge from the darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure.)
Outside, it began to darken as a liquid-like matter dripped down from the sky, forming an outer barrier wall in the shape of a half-sphere.
After that, he began to search and exorcise the cursed spirits, holding his katana scabbard ready in case the spirits tried to attack from different angles.
Keeping his eyes open, Y/N slowly walked through the old abandoned house, with each step causing creaks on the wooden plank floor. He kept his breath steady, observing everything inside, even the tiniest scratch.
Sensing curse spirits in every room, he hadn't detected any spirits yet, but he kept going until he found one. However, something seemed off about the house.
Y/N: Weird...
He stopped his movement for a moment, looking around the living room, which appeared normal to his eyes. He shrugged his shoulders and continued searching.
After looking through every living room in each area, Y/N began to go upstairs. However, a feeling of unease crept over him, making him feel unsettled. Despite this, he shook his head and started to climb the stairs. Upon reaching the upper floor, both of his eyes widened as he found himself back in the living room.
Y/N: What the hell...
He descended the stairs and found himself in the living room again. Then, he climbed upstairs once more, only to find himself back in the living room. This situation left Y/N confused, and he twitched his eyes, realizing he was trapped inside the house without notice. Y/N slapped his forehead, feeling like an idiot.
Y/N: I'm such an idiot!
In his thoughts, there was no way he was not going to be able to escape this place, especially since he was terrible at solving puzzles. Y/N took a deep breath to calm himself down and tried to think of something else. However, the only option seemed to be to find the curse spirit. He hoped that killing it might cancel the loop.
Now, where was Y/N going to start to find it? There had to be some clues to help locate it. He tried his best in each room, searching through furniture and everything else, but he still hadn't found anything useful. He wasn't going to give up easily. As he continued searching, he suddenly stopped what he was doing as he sensed the curse spirit, and it was very strong.
Instinctively, he turned around without hesitation. However, Y/N's face turned pale once he saw the curse spirit. It had a human appearance but much paler, wearing only a loincloth draped around the hips and groin. What was even more disturbing was that it had a hole in its chest and four eyes attached to its hair.
They stood there, waiting to see who would attack first. The spirit smiled at him, putting its hands on its cheeks and swaying left and right like a toddler.
Although this was a chance to strike, to Y/N, he had a feeling that there was no way he could defeat it, especially on his first mission. It was a do-or-die situation.
Sweating and with his heart beating rapidly, he knew he had to do it. This was the only way to escape from this hellhole. His hand shook as he undid the cloth, and once it was off, he slowly grabbed the handle. With one last deep breath and exhale, he drew his katana towards the spirit's head.
Fear had taken over him as the curse spirit easily stopped the blade using its fingers. Lifting its other hand, the spirit slowly placed its hand on Y/N's chest. Before he could react, it was too late. Once its palm touched his chest, his whole body instantly blurred and was sent backwards, crashing through the wall in loops.
The curse spirit then lifted its right arm, hand open, and as Y/N came into sight, the spirit grabbed his head and smashed it onto the wooden plank floor with a huge crack.
Y/N coughed, blood dripping on his forehead, his vision blurry, and a few bones cracked. As he tried to get up, the spirit sat on top of him on his back. Groaning in pain, he saw his katana in front of him. He attempted to reach for it, but the spirit grabbed his head and smashed it on the floor several times.
His body weakened, blood pooling on the floor, his breath becoming more hoarse. Was this going to be the end for him?
Y/N: *Murmurs* Fuck... I forgot to throw away... my DVD collections if I die...
His vision was about to darken, and his breath slowed. Consciousness was fading. Gritting his teeth in pain, he refused to accept this lame and mediocre death. He wanted his death to be honorable and the best it could be.
Then he realized, deep inside him, there was a hidden power he had never used. Y/N didn't want to use this power, but there was no other option. It was the only way to defeat this cursed spirit.
Focusing his vision clearly on his katana lying on the floor, he didn't want to reach for it with his arm. Instead, he tried to reach it with his thoughts and mind. The weight from the spirit was heavy, but that didn't stop him from locking onto his katana. With calm breath and steady focus, he began to chant.
Y/N: "Ketsumyaku no zankyō, uketsugare shi chikara yo, kissaki togisumashi, tokihanatareshi tamashii yo." (O inherited power of noble blood, sharpen your fangs and unleash your soul.)
The spirit noticed something odd, turning its head to look at the katana hovering in the air. Confusion crossed its face before it immediately jumped away from Y/N, who was coughing hard and struggling to breathe under the weight pressing down on him.
As the cursed spirit looked at Y/N, it also noticed another spirit next to him, but this one was different. It was full of cursed energy, with the appearance of a samurai in armor and a demon mask, holding a katana firmly, ready to strike at the cursed spirit.
Y/N managed to stand up and took his katana from the air, glaring at the spirit with hatred.
Y/N: You've pissed me off... Sento, kill it.
The spirit next to him, named Sento, began attacking the cursed spirit swiftly, striking with its katana, but the cursed spirit dodged every blow. The cursed spirit smiled gleefully, making fun of Sento while evading each strike. However, the cursed spirit's first mistake was not noticing Y/N's attack from behind, which resulted in its arm being cut off.
The cursed spirit was surprised and shocked by its severed arm, screaming in pain. Without wasting any time, Sento proceeded to cut the cursed spirit's torso in half, while Y/N continued to decapitate it. Finally, the cursed spirit was defeated, and the entire house was about to crumble.
Sheathing his katana and watching as his spirit bowed before disappearing into thin air, Y/N was about to run but noticed something on the floor after defeating the cursed spirit. Quickly grabbing it, he made his way out of the crumbling house.
Once outside, the house had crumbled, leaving nothing but old pieces of wood. He examined the object in his hand, which was clearly an old dismembered finger. Confused as to why the cursed spirit was holding this finger, he sensed strong curse energy emanating from it and realized it was probably not wise to consume it.
Y/N: But seriously, why finger but hole?
