Since the dawn of time, the battle between Good and Evil has raged, an unending struggle that defines existence itself. Good, the essence of compassion, unity, and hope, stands as the guardian of creation. Evil, born of chaos, greed, and despair, seeks to corrupt, destroy, and dominate. Across generations, this fight has transcended realms and boundaries, shaping history and legends.
In ancient times, heroes clad in light rose to confront shadowy adversaries, wielding weapons of light and all form of creation. Kingdoms fell and rose again in this eternal conflict, the line between victory and defeat often blurred. Myths tell of gods and mortals joining forces to banish darkness, only for its whispers to return in new forms.
Through ages of war, revolution, and peace, the struggle persisted—not just on grand battlefields, but within the hearts of the individuals. Temptation and virtue, betrayal and redemption—humanity has always walked the thin line between the two forces.
The fight endures, a perpetual cycle of destruction and renewal. Yet, amidst it all, good proves resilient, a flicker of light that refuses to be extinguished. Though Evil evolves, its hunger endless, the unyielding spirit of Good remains humanity's greatest weapon, forever illuminating the path forward.
In the unending struggle between Good and Evil, there has always been one chosen by fate—a Guardian. Through generations, the Guardian arises, handpicked by the forces of light to stand as a beacon of hope and a shield against the encroaching darkness. They are neither born of privilege nor predetermined greatness; instead, they are ordinary souls marked by extraordinary resolve, chosen when the balance tilts too far into chaos.
Each Guardian inherits the wisdom of their predecessors, a timeless connection to those who came before. They bear the weight of ancient knowledge and sacred power, tools to face the ever-shifting forms of Evil. From kings to wanderers, scholars to warriors, humans to animals the Guardians have worn many faces, but their purpose remains constant: to protect, to guide, to fight and vanquish Evil.
For every triumph, there is sacrifice; for every moment of light, a shadow looms close. Evil knows no rest and seeks to corrupt the chosen, testing their faith, their strength, and their very existence.
Despite the trials, the Guardians endure. They are the thread binding generations, a testament that as long as there is a Guardian, hope will never die, and Good will never be shaking.
The time for the next Guardian to arise has come. Across the realms, an ancient unease stirs a tremor in the fabric of existence. The sleeping Evil, long subdued, has awakening, its lust for blood threading through the shadows, instilling chaos and despair. This darkness, patient and cunning, has waited for generations, gathering strength to challenge the light once more.
In response, the River of Life, the eternal force that chooses the Guardian, begins to whisper its sacred call. Flowing through time and space, it whispers to the worthy, searching for the heart that beats with unwavering courage, selflessness, and resilience. The River, said to carry the essence of the Guardians, now weaves its song into the winds, the earth, and the dreams of the chosen.
But this time, the challenge is greater than ever. The Evil awakening is more cunning, more relentless, and its power threatens to consume even the brightest light. The Guardian must not only possess the strength to fight but the wisdom to unite, for the fate of generations rests on their shoulders. The world waits with bated breath as the River's whispers grow louder, heralding the arrival of a Guardian who will stand against the rising tide of darkness.
In a lair with little light, a man-like figure sat on what looked like an altar. He held what seemed to be the shape of a sword emitting a halo of blue flame, gazing at the creak where a ray of light entered the lair.
"The time has come for the river to bring the chosen one," he said, smiling.
The sun raised in to a beautiful day where everyone woke up to go about their business, a boy named Joe dressed up standing in front of a mirror checking out his outfit as he dressed up in his uniform, he was looking a bit sad like he has been thinking of something over the night ,
"It is another day to be awesome again." He said as he forced a smile looking at his reflection, he sighed in disappointment and walked away from the mirror. He picked up his shoes from the rack and put them on, he stumped lightly to adjust his foot in them
"perfect." He said as he went through the door of his room,
He went straight to the kitchen as he pulled the arms of the fridge and brought out a milk bottle, an apple and a can food. He put the canned food in the microwave and set a timer and opened the cupboard taking out a chocolate cereal and a ceramic bowl to take his cereal.
After two minutes the microwave ping sound alerted him and he took out the canned food and scraped it inside a pink plastic bowl with the name frosty on it he whistled three times before calling the name frosty, a white cat strolled from the living room to the kitchen when it heard the name the cat meowed and rubbed it's body on his leg and he placed the food down, he added milk in another bowl and pet the cat body before he went out of the kitchen, he picked up his bag as he looked around the house sighed and went out of the house.
This is the year 432-DLA where the DLA stands for 'Dooms Last Act', few humans in this era harness a kind of power known as Eldrath, these few people are called Eldrakyn, and in the midst of this world there are other higher realms where no humans could go except they transcend from humans to creatures. Joe is a 19 year old orphan student in the prestigious Edorminatet college of Avarion the popular capital of the Veltharyn kingdom. Amongst the people of Veltharyn are ordinary humans called Ordalis; those who were not blessed with Eldrath but they use artifacts embedded with Eldrath, and they live peacefully with everyone.
The king Thalvryn Auristal is the most powerful Eldrakyn; he has led the kingdom after his father, and his father before his, and their fathers before them. It is a genealogy, Veltharyn is a very peaceful kingdom where trade and commerce is superior to warfare yet in that blissful kingdom a very terrible event is about to unfold in the next few years.
Edorminatet College gives the opportunity to both bearers and normal humans to enrol in the prestigious school; And Joe is a student in his mid-years. He has only five friends and he feel at home around them.
Joe walked into the school premises and the guards at the gates looked at him with menace in their eyes, they saw his student tag then they let him in.
"those guards never smile." He thought to himself as he walked slowly to his classroom, the class awaited the professor to come into the classroom, every one paired up in their groups of friends chatting and talking, Joe went to his seat and placed his head on the table and the school intercom sounded and the royal tune was played,
"Testing…testing… this is your King Thalvryn Auristal the 23rd,"
"I want to thank you all for your cooperating on the progress of the kingdom as we have made twice than we did last year before the day of DLA."
"I am officially announcing starting this instant a week public holiday, and I will be sending out foods and money to you all, until after the DLA ceremony."
"I order you all to enjoy yourself for the progress of our great kingdom."
"I still remain your King and Father Thalvryn Auristal the 23rd." the king spoke directly to the ordering a week public holiday as the DLA anniversary was approaching. The students shouted for joy as there would be no classes for a week until after the ceremony
"Just great…" Joe said as he stood up picked his bag and went out of the class, he strolled slowly along the large hallway with his hands in his pocket, the light of the sun bounced on him as he passed by the windows, lost in thought he heard someone whisper his name. He stopped to raised his head but no one was in the hallway, he looked around and he could not find anyone,
"I need rest." He said as he continued walking before he got to the end of the hallway a white bird rested on the window frame as the cold gaze of the bird touched him he looked at the bird as he walked by ad turning at the end of the hallway he bumped into something and he fell down
"Ouch!" a faint scream came from a female, Joe sprung up quickly to help the female student he bumped into she yanked her hair to the back of her ears as she looked at Joe took in a deep breath and shouted
"Why, can't you look at where you are going?" she shouted at him, Joe was not listening to her rather he checked the window where he saw the bird if it was still there but the bird had disappeared.
"Hey!"
"I'm talking to you." She said as she touched Joe and that made him aware of his surroundings and he then noticed someone was standing in front of him.
"I'm sorry I didn't… I was distracted he said." He apologised and walked away this left the female student wondering what kind of person he was,
Joe got the school yard and he met his friend waiting for him there, he smiled as he saw them they are the only ones he'd ever connect with in his life after the orphanage.
"Hi, Nicolas, John, Keji, Fred, Elizabeth," he greeted.
"What took you so long?" Fred asked, folding his arms.
"I bumped into someone down the hallway." Joe explained as they all exclaimed wondering how that was possible, they knew Joe was the kind of person who would avoid all the students in the hallway and has never been carried away while walking.
"So what are going to do for this holiday granted to us by the gracious king, King Auristal?" john asked
"Well I would like us to try camping." Joe suggested which left his friend wondering what changed; Joe is now giving his opinion which felt like a dream.
"Well yeah, let us camp by the mountains." Keji said as they all agree while they walked home laughing and talking…
