Joe entered into the his room as he lay face down to his bed, he sat up minutes later and try to remember what sort of bird he had seen in the school hallway, he pulled out a book from the bookshelf beside his bed and sat at the table in the room he drew the bird describing it's eagle like features, while he was drawing his eyes were shutting by themselves and he fell asleep on the table…
"Joe…" a serenade female voice called with a whisper Joe opened his eyes and everything in his surrounding had disappeared, all he could see was the sky touching the surface of the ocean from horizon to horizon, a cold wet sensation strike him and his breath became unstable, he looked at his feet we was barefooted, and he was in an ankle depth ocean with the sky having a large light planet but it was not the sun nor was it hot, he looked around wondering where he was. A white feather dropped in front of him touching the surface of the water and causing soft ripples and he saw an embodiment humanoid figure of light, it was transparent yet not transparent, it was bright yet not bright, it was grown up yet so young, it was slow yet fast. Words couldn't describe what Joe was witnessing the figure got close to him in an instant and the surface of the water gave no ripples he was just standing there flustered and dumb founded at what he was seeing, he wasn't so sure if it was a dream or he was dead and he was being guided to the afterlife
"Joe…" the entity whispered in his ears touching his shoulder, his unstable breath became stable, and he blinked continually as he looked at the entity
"Am I dead?" Joe asked himself in his thoughts
"No you are not." The beautiful voice of the entity invaded his head answering his questions with telepathy as Joe's eyes widen in shock that the entity could hear his thoughts,
"Do not be surprised or afraid, we are one, you and I, and all that have come before…" the entity replied and the white bird flew to rest on Joe's left shoulder and it screeched,
"This is the Aurela the bird of light, its name is Arna." The entity explained,
"why am I here." He asked himself,
"Don't be in a rush we will get to know ourselves little by little."
"Although I already know you." The entity answered caressing his face.
"here take this," the entity said as it touched Joe's forehead and his core, he then lift's up from the surface of the water and his fore head glowed after some seconds which felt like hours his feet touched the icy cold water
Joe wondered what and why this was happening he tried to force himself to speak, suddenly he coughed up from the his dream, when he woke up it was 7:38 am in the morning, He coughed as he got off the bed and ran off to the bathroom to throw up in the wash basin.
"What is that?" he thought to himself
"what sort of dream is that?" he asked turning the tap head to flush the basin, and he put water in his mouth to wash his mouth and face.
"it is nice we haven't got class today, I can have the whole day to myself doing what I love." He said as he walked outside the bathroom and lay back on the bed as he touched his fore head he could still vividly feel the warm touch of the entity,
"What am I thinking of it is just a dream." He said as he fumble up from the bed and got into a casual dress and packed some clothes into a hiking backpack. he took a tent setup from the store wardrobe in his room,
"I have to make sure I don't smell." He said as he sprayed himself with a perfume, his Eldrath ringer made noises he touched the stone mechanism on it, and it popped up a hologram of Keji and the others,
"Are you still sleeping?"
"Sleepy head." Keji said as she looked closely into the hologram display
"I'm done... I was about coming out when you guys came." Joe said as he closed the ringer and hurried outside, he met them at his door step and amongst them was a new face which he had not seen before they were all packed waiting for him,
"And who is this?" Joe asked as looked at the new lady's face,
"She?"
"She is my new neighbor she attends our school, she wanted to come along and I thought it was cool so I asked her to come." Elizabeth answered
"Her name is Liya," she added and Joe's eyes widen as he remembered she wasthe female student he bumped into in the hallway at school.
"You??" She asked as she tightened her brows and locked her view on Joe
"You are the rude guy I saw today." She claimed and Joe's eyebrows jolt as he gasped out of surprise,
"Rude??" he questioned surprised what she said,
"he is the guy I told about; he is the guy that bumped into me today." She reported to Elizabeth, Joe's arms dropped in surprise dumbfounded he dropped his mouth to the predicament he was in,
"But I apologized didn't I?" He asked her trying to clear himself off the rude list.
"Yes, but you actually ignored me like I was not there for the first few minutes." She claimed
"I told you I was sorry I got carried away." He explained
"Guys come on stop with the unnecessary squabbles, we are going to miss our carriage…" John said as the air became silent of their quarrel,
"Let us all take deep breaths… you can continue this argument when we arrive at comet spire,"
"But for now Liya this is Joe, Joe this is Liya." John said settling them with a annoyed forced smile
"H…Hi" they both said exchanging greetings,
"So let us shake hands in agreement." John said forcing them to shake hands for peace.
"If we miss our carriage we are going to ride on both your backs Joe and Liya" Fred jested as they walked out of his door step and got the well-arranged rock road, and they board the carriage going towards the mountain settlements; Comet spire village which is 120km away from the capital.
Comet spire is a village at the foot of Mount Celestia; a towering peak where a comet touched the earth five hundred years ago, it is a village rich in rare comet gems and stardust found in the mountains caves, the gems and stardust are used to craft weapons for both Eldrakyn and Ordalis soldiers, and it is used for other crafting and jewels making.
There are always excursions from other kingdoms to the Mount Celestia's comet site every year, Joe and his friend were on their way to take break from the school stress,
As their carriage stopped at the arrival port in the village square of comet spire they arrived in the evening, they got off the carriage and had their bags packed of from the carriage and they moved to an inn, they booked rooms and they all went out for sight-seeing around the village, They viewed the beautiful comet effect of the buildings which some buildings were crafted from large chunks of the comet rear gems, it was beautiful as the sunset and the buildings light up the village.
After they sight see they went to sit at an open cafeteria where they spoke over eating,
"So what do we do tomorrow?" Nicholas asked as he ate the steak from the plate, and everyone gasped in surprise and they watched him eating their steak
"Hey!" Keji shouted as she tried to stop Nicholas
"Don't you dare…" John said
"If you do, then so help God." Joe said as he lean over the table with his fork pointed towards Nicholas, Nicholas looked at all of them he closed his eyes and threw the steak in his mouth, they all screamed and shout at him Fred grabbed him by the collar and shake him , Nicholas did not mind instead he chewed the steak with a smile.
"How blissful…" Nicholas said in his mind after they eat they sat there to talk
"Let us go hiking tomorrow." Keji said,
"Already?"
"Let us still enjoy the view of the village and the hot spring here," Elizabeth said
"So my… our skin will be blessed with the graciousness of the comet." She finished
"Okay we vote…" Nicholas said
"If we should go for the bath tomorrow, raise your hand" Nicholas said as Elizabeth, Liya, and John raised their hands.
"Okay we have three people." Nicholas said
"We should go hiking raise your hands." He said again raising his hands, Keji seconded, Fred, and Joe raised their hands.
"So majority carried the vote." Nicholas judged, with a smile on his face…
"Aw, come on let us go on the hiking I promise to take care of your guys." Keji said pleading to Elizabeth and the others…
Later in the evening they all went to their rooms to rest Joe walked into his room and lay on the bed,
"I should have brought frosty with me so I could take care of her," he thought sighing and looking at the ceiling
"I bet she would be missing me by now, if I were at home she would have walked onto my bed by this time and rub her body to my legs," he said as he felt a fury warm body rub itself on his leg out of fear he rushed up to check what is rubbing its body on him,
"Meow!" frosty meowed as it saw Joe stand on the bed on guard, she curved her tail like she was protecting herself, Joe's eyes widen in surprise to see the cat he was thinking about was right on his bed,
"Frosty?" he called to confirm if she was the one, it mowed after Joe called its name,
"How did you get here?" he asked as he picked it up from the bed and threw it in the air catching it like a baby.
"Meow..." frosty answered slowly rubbing it head in Joe's face, he sat down and pet Frosty and the cat purred
"it is a mystery how you came here but either ways I am glad you are here." Joe said as he lay back on the bed with Frosty on his chest and he faded of to sleep…
