Chapter 2 - 1.The Emergence of the Last Human

The gray skies foretold a light drizzle as a group of ambitious youths lined up in front of the grand gates of Crylon Academy. This academy, located on the outskirts of the Kingdom of a Thousand Races, was where the elite from all species trained elves, dragons, and even humanoids.

Among them stood a young man in a faded gray cloak, his features hidden, holding an ancient sword that looked more like a relic. He drew little attention, but those who approached could feel a subtle current of power around him. His name: Arin.

Standing in line, Arin listened to the whispers around him:

"Who is that? I've never seen a race like his before."

"Maybe a humanoid... but his skin has no scales or fur!"

"Strange... his eyes resemble the human eyes we've read about in myths."

"They're amazed... but they haven't seen anything yet," Arin thought to himself, smirking slightly as he caught their remarks. He knew he was different, but he had trained his whole life to appear as just another orphan seeking a chance to survive.

Entering the Academy

After passing a simple check at the gate, Arin was placed in the beginner class. He stood in a massive hall, its walls adorned with paintings depicting the ancient victories of the races against what they called "the threat of extinct humanity."

The instructor, a han with silver hair and long ears, said:

"You are now part of the academy's elite. Here, you will learn magic, combat, and strategy. But first, a simple test to assess your levels."

The students were split into small groups to challenge training creatures. When Arin's turn came, he strode confidently into the arena. Before him appeared a stone golem, a massive creature made of rock, slow-moving but devastating with a single strike.

Arin gripped his ancient sword and dashed forward in a single, swift motion. In an instant, the blade slashed through the air with a dazzling blue light, cleaving the golem in two before it could attack.

A heavy silence fell over the hall. Students and instructors alike were stunned. This was not something they expected from an "ordinary orphan."

The instructor said hoarsely:

"What is that sword? And that technique? Who are you?"

Arin smiled faintly and replied:

"Just an orphan who learned to survive on the streets."

"This is only the beginning. Every step here is part of a greater plan... I am not just an orphan," Arin thought, glancing at his sword. "I am the last heir of the human kingdom and the harbinger of their vengeance."

As the students continued to stare, Arin raised his gaze to the surrounding statues, which depicted humanity's defeat. "Three thousand years in the shadows... It's time to set history right," he whispered to himself
