Chapter 5 - Chapter 3: "The Gate of Power"

Arin stood among the crowd, surrounded by countless races he had only read about in ancient texts. The academy was not just a place of learning; it was a stage where strength and legends were forged.

The hall was breathtaking. The high ceiling shimmered with moving stars and clouds, while the black marble floor mirrored everything above, creating an otherworldly atmosphere.

The professors stood silently on a nearby platform, observing every movement with keen eyes. Their presence alone exuded authority, and their watchful gazes made every student conscious of their steps.

At the center of the hall stood a massive magical board, glowing with ancient energy. The atmosphere grew tense as the names of the strongest first-year students appeared one by one:

1. Sylvana the Tempest (Fairy) - Master of destructive magic and unmatched speed.

2. Raigar the Frostborn( Half-Dragon) - A master of ice magic and heavy combat.

3. Merina of Shadows (Half-Human) - Skilled in dark magic and stealth.

4. Kyle the Inferno (Human-Beast Hybrid) - Complete control over fire and immense physical strength.

5. Alex the Gale (Unknown) - Manipulator of wind magic, sly and cunning.

6. Frindal the Thunderclap (Dwarf-Warrior) - Wielding electrifying magic.

7. Elara the Enchantress (Nymph) - Powerful in enchantment and nature magic.

8. Ziran the Savage (Beast-Hybrid) - Unstoppable brute strength.

9. Valen the Veiled (Unknown) - Sense and control of hidden forces.

10. Arin Darkblood (Human) - Abilities unknown.

As Arin's name appeared, the hall fell into stunned silence. Whispers spread rapidly:

"A human? Could that be true?"

"How is a human on the list?"

"Impossible! Humans went extinct thousands of years ago!"

Arin stood firm, his calm demeanor unshaken by the murmurs. He knew this moment was just the beginning of what lay ahead.

The director of the academy, Aldrik Whitebeard, a dwarf sorcerer, turned to the students and spoke:

"These ten names represent the strongest among you. But strength is not only about power; it is about perseverance and determination. Prove yourselves worthy of being here."

As the crowd dispersed, the tension lingered in the air. Arin was well aware that the road ahead would be anything but easy.
