That morning, the air in Tianchi was fresh and cool, enveloping Yang Chen's farm in a thin mist. While out there the world was still busy discussing the threat of Team Galaxy, Yang Chen chose to remain focused on his routine—enjoying the peace on the farm with his family and their Pokémon.
In the vast field behind the house, Yang Chen prepared for a morning training session with his Pokémon. In front of him, six formidable Pokémon stood in line: Gengar, Lucario, Gallade, Dragonite, Charizard, and Gyarados. They are the Pokémon who have been with Yang Chen for years, and now they have all reached the maximum level of 150. Even so, they remain loyal and follow the routine training prepared by Yang Chen.
Yang Chen said, "Alright, everyone. This time we will try something different. I want you to work together to defeat me. Use all your strength without holding back."
His Pokémon looked excited upon hearing this challenge. They nodded seriously, knowing how strong Yang Chen was despite being just a "human." However, they knew that this "human" was not an ordinary human.
When the training began, Charizard launched an attack with a Flamethrower that shot out like a giant tongue of fire, aimed directly at Yang Chen. With incredible speed, Yang Chen dodged by jumping high into the air, causing the attack to hit only empty ground.
While he was still in the air, Dragonite flew in at high speed, using Dragon Rush. The attack generated glowing energy, but Yang Chen calmly deflected it with one hand, pushing Dragonite back several meters.
Below, Lucario and Gallade seized the opportunity to attack together. Lucario charged energy with Aura Sphere, while Gallade used Psycho Cut to strike from different angles. Yang Chen landed smoothly on the ground and used his Kryptonian speed to dodge before both attacks could touch him.
"You guys are getting faster, but I won't make this easy either!" said Yang Chen.
Gengar emerged from the shadows behind Yang Chen, using Shadow Ball at high speed. However, before the attack could get close, Yang Chen spun his body and stopped the shadow ball with his bare hands. The energy from the Shadow Ball simply vanished in his hand.
Seeing this, Gyarados decided to unleash its ultimate attack, Hydro Pump, directing a high-pressure water blast towards Yang Chen. However, Yang Chen just stood still, letting the attack hit his body directly. The spraying water only soaked his clothes without leaving any wounds.
Seeing that Yang Chen could not be defeated one by one, his Pokémon decided to work together. Dragonite and Charizard flew into the sky, creating a windstorm with hurricanes, while Gengar used Hypnosis to try to catch Yang Chen off guard. At the same time, Lucario and Gallade attacked from the ground with quick physical strikes.
Yang Chen smiled at the efforts of his Pokémon team. "Good, you are starting to understand the importance of teamwork!" he said while dodging nimbly. With his supervision, he could see every movement of his Pokémon, predict their attacks, and dodge them easily.
When Charizard and Dragonite launched a combined attack from the air using Hyper Beam, Yang Chen jumped high into the sky, surpassing their height. With one swift movement, he appeared behind them, delivering a gust of wind strong enough to knock both of them to the ground—without injuring them, of course.
Lucario, Gallade, and Gyarados attempted their final attack with full force. However, Yang Chen stopped them with a firm shout. "Enough!"
In an instant, all the Pokémon stopped and looked at him. Their breaths were ragged, but their eyes shone with enthusiasm and respect.
