Chapter 17 - More Intensive Training

After a night full of surprises with the appearance of a mysterious aura in America, the next morning Yang Chen went about his routine as usual. After having breakfast with the family, he took their daughter, Yang Xiaoyi, to school in the nearby village.

On the way to school, Yang Xiaoyi, with the typical enthusiasm of children, kept talking about her lessons, her friends, and the Pokémon she admired.

Yang Xiaoyi said, "Dad, when can I train a Pokémon as strong as yours? I want my little Dratini to grow up big like yours, Dad!"

Yang Chen smiled upon hearing about his daughter's ambition.

Yang Chen said, "If Xiaoyi continues to study and train Pokémon with a sincere heart, one day your little Dratini will become stronger than your father's Dragonite."

Their conversation was warm until they finally arrived at school. After sending off his daughter with a smile, Yang Chen returned to the Tianchi farm, a place where tranquility and strength gathered.

That morning, sunlight illuminated the green and tranquil valley near Yang Chen's farm. The fresh air blew gently, but the atmosphere there was filled with tension. There is no time to relax for Yang Chen and his Pokémon team. After the last incident with Team Galaxy, he felt the need to elevate his team's strength to the next level.

(Note: after Yang Chen's pokémon has a permanent Mega condition, I will continue to use their names without the Mega prefix)

In the valley far from the farm, six of his Pokémon stood in a line, exuding an aura of confidence. Charizard X, with its pitch-black body and blazing blue flames, looked excited. Gyarados, with its majestic form, gazes ahead with a sharp look. Lucario, ever loyal, stood tall with a ball of energy slowly spinning in its hand. Gallade, with a calm yet ready-to-strike demeanor, observes his surroundings. Gengar, floating with its characteristic grin, seemed ready to play with the target. Above them, Dragonite floated gracefully, proving that even without Mega Evolution, it remained a reliable choice.

Yang Chen stood in the middle, his face serious yet calm. With a single hand gesture, he launched large boulders into the air using his super strength, challenging his Pokémon's reaction and coordination.

Charizard X immediately struck the first target in the air. With lightning speed, it launched Dragon Claw, tearing large boulders into small fragments. The blue flames from its claws left a glowing trail in the air.

On the ground, Lucario moved quickly, his eyes shining with full focus. An Aura Sphere shot from his hand, soaring with high precision toward the falling rocks. The explosion of energy destroyed the target before it touched the ground.

Gallade, with an elegant movement, jumped into the air. He launched Psycho Cut, a sharp energy blade soaring and easily cutting through the rocks. Each of Gallade's attacks was so precise as if he were dancing on the battlefield.

Gyarados, standing firm in the middle of the valley, concentrated its power. With a roar, it unleashed Hyper Beam. The massive energy beam destroyed three targets at once, shaking the ground around it.

Gengar used its agility to outmaneuver the more difficult targets. He hovered and moved quickly in the air, launching Shadow Balls at the rocks hidden behind the trees. Each shadow ball exploded accurately, destroying the target without a trace.

Dragonite, despite not having a Mega Evolution, shows why it remains Yang Chen's mainstay. With a roar, it unleashed an Outrage attack, its body enveloped in a blazing red aura. Dragonite attacked the large rocks, shattering them into small fragments that flew in all directions.

This training is not just about strength, but also coordination and teamwork. Yang Chen devised a complex attack pattern to ensure each Pokémon understands its role:

Charizard X and Dragonite were focused on aerial attacks.

Lucario and Gallade are trained to handle ground targets with speed and precision.

Gengar is tasked with handling hidden targets, utilizing the element of surprise.

Gyarados, with its great strength, acts as the finisher for targets that are difficult to destroy.

After several rounds of training, Yang Chen called all his Pokémon to gather. They stood in front of him, sweating but full of spirit.

Yang Chen smiled slightly. "You were amazing today. But this is just the beginning." If Team Galaxy returns, we must be ready to show that there is no place for them in this world."

His Pokémon let out a rallying cry, showing their loyalty to Yang Chen. They knew that under his guidance, they were not only becoming stronger individually but also as an unshakeable team.

The training ended when the sun began to lean towards the west. Yang Chen and his Pokémon sat under the shade of a large tree, enjoying the tranquility of the afternoon. However, in his heart, Yang Chen knew that this tranquility might not last long. The threat of Team Galaxy still exists, and he must always be ready to face even greater challenges.

With his increasingly strong and coordinated Pokémon team, Yang Chen feels confident. Whatever comes next, he and his team will be ready to protect the peace they have built.
