Azrael
The feeling of my power bubbling within myself spread throughout my body as it attempted to recover. I resisted, the excruciating sensation of holding back my power shook my body to its very core.
The Minotaur pinning me to the wall suddenly pulled backs it's head ripping it's horn from my body. A gush of blood flooded out of the wound as my body hit the floor with a thud.
I pushed my hand into the wound to prevent anymore blood from leaking out. I dragged myslef into a standing position, using the wall behind me as a stabilizer. When I was sturdy on my feet I reached for my sword with my left hand taking it from the sheath on my waist.
Attempting to catch me off guard the minotaur slammed its hand towards me. The attack was insanely fast using the Minotaur's weight to generate explosive momentum.
With not even a second to react I rolled along the wall to barely evade the attack. Immediately after the Minotaur threw another powerful punch, this time I expected it.
Dashing towards the Minotaur I slid along the floor causing the punch to just miss me, knowing I wouldn't have long till the next attack I aimed my sword and sliced along the monsters ankle.
My sword cracked as it slammed into the monsters ankle rather than slicing through it. I clicked my teeth in annoyance and jumped backwards to create distance and give me time to prepare my next move.
Considering the quality of my sword, in its current state, it would probably only be able to handle two more attacks before shattering. I turned my head over my shoulder in an attempt to spot Bell and the other Minotaur. Unfortunately, he was nowhere to be seen.
I can only hope that he was able to escape.
My eyes returned to the gaze of the Minotaur and then drifted towards its legs. It was preparing another charge attack... The first one had ripped a massive hole though me... but that was only because it caught me off guard this time I could bait the attack. If I waited for the last moment to dodge the attack perhaps it could get stuck in the wall allowing me to get a few fatal blows on it!
Doing exactly what I planned I patiently stood still and watched as the Minotaur's legs shot into the ground like pistons. The ground crumbled under the immense pressure and the Minotaur shot forwards like a bullet with its horns armed directly towards me.
My eyes shot open at the speed, perhaps my plan won't work... Quickly changing my mind I aimed my sword straight towards the Minotaur and prepared myself for an incredibly.. painful... Impact...
Ducking down as the Minotaur crashed towards me I was able to avoid its horns only taking the impact of its heavy body. My sword, which I held steady pierced through its body, a gutrenching roar echoed throughout the dungeon.
I yanked on the handle of the sword in an effort to pull it from the chest of the monster. However, the condition of the sword was too brittle and it snapped leaving my unarmed with an injured monster.
From the side it's fist slammed into my ribs sending my flying down the corridor of the dungeon. My body skidded along the floor ripping apart my clothes and flesh beneath them. When my movement came to a halt I broke out into a fit of bloody coughs.
"I suppose I'm going to have to take a big risk..." I said wiping the blood away from my mouth, What I was about to do hadn't been perfected even after my thousand years of training. I didn't expect I would have to use it so soon but ONE use should go without consequence.
Sitting on the floor holding the open wound on my stomach I struggled and channeled the smallest amount of my power. Trying to channel such a miniscule amount was like trying to slow down and limit the flow of my own blood, agonizing.
The Minotaur readied another powerful charge, like it sensed something was wrong. It took less time to power up and simply dashed towards me relying only instinct. From its point of view taking me out quickly was probably the best way to resolve this.
Sadly it was wrong about that. The Minotaur got closer and faster one little mess up could sent me right back to heaven and I wouldn't have that! My eyes began to burn as my divine power flowed towards them within my body.
Instantly the Minotaur noticed something else was wrong but it was too late it had already reached top speed and there was no way of stopping without hitting something. My golden eyes burned ferociously and I quickly expelled the miniscule divine energy as a bolt of black lightning.
The shadowy bolt of energy crackled through the air making directed contact with the head of the Minotaur. The dense energy resulted in a powerful explosion completely destroying the body of the Minotaur. The usual black mist and magic stone were nowhere to be seen all that was last was a gaping whole leading to the floor beneath.
My body writhed in agony. As I once again became aware of the severe wounds littering my body.. The bleeding from my stomach had still not stopped and I was sure I had broken multiple ribs when punched by the monster and dragged a long the floor.
I could feel my consciousness waved but my thoughts flooded with the image of the young boy I had entered with.. I had not been able to kill my Minotaur quick enough... Had he escaped? Or.. had he died?
My strength was fading quickly, my vision was blurring but from the corner of my eye I spotted a young woman in armour. She had a stoic yet distant expression with long locks of blonde hair.
Using the last of my strength I spoke, "Minotaur... Chasing young boy..." I weakly raised my hand to point in the direction and everything went black.
