Chapter 13 - Hell

Lords Pov.

It was almost time. The moon would be at it's peak and then we would strike. The one chance we would have while they were weak. The spirit moon. It happens once a year randomly. The moons effects render the werewolves useless. It makes them human for 1 night out of every year. Just like with everything the people think it is because they are supposed to appreciate what they are but we all know it's just some odd phenomenon. We elementals though, have nothing that weakens us. We are only weak in numbers. Most of us are born to a multi species house. Elementals, however powerfull, do not carry a dominant gene. If say an active elemental parent mated with a human then the resulting child would be human. Rarely does an active elemental mate with a human and the child is a dormant elemental. In Audra's case that is what happened. Her mother, now sick and dying from her own power, produced one child with the dormant trait, Audra. The only way to activate it is to meet the specific conditions. The element the child aligns with is in their daily life, which is the easy one. They must be 18 years old, meaning Audra cannot use her ability until then. And lastly, the child will have had to have had a near death experience. Almost all of the boxes are checked. I just need to keep that Prince away from her. Her power will be useful to the throne and practically make them untouchable. Since her existence in itself is rare, her power is all the greater. I vice gripped my chair again setting it aflame. "My lord." Sylvin said, clearing his throat. My flames flare as I looked down at him. My gaze willfully ignighting his hair. He looked up at the smell of his burning hair. "Not cool, lord." He says with an annoyed look, as he extinguished his flaming hair with his ice hands. "I bring you important news regarding Audra." He says handing me a portfolio of pictures. I stare at the pictures of them together, there lay his wolf with her petite body sprawled across it. The folder burst into flames, "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!"I screach. He steps back avoiding a flame I threw out at him. I seethed, "He was supposed to be forbidden to dee her!" Sylvin gulped, "That's not all sir. Lance thought he could be a hero and take her while they slept. While the prince was unaware of his surroundings. The king sensed and killed him almost immediately." He says dodging another one of my flame balls. I sigh, "That fool. They're going to figure out she's a target and keep her locked up in the castle." I gripe. "Yes sir. I have warned the others that you will kill them personally if anyone esle tries anything before it is time." Sylvin assures. "Good, It will be you that takes her. It seems that you are the only one I can entrust the plan to." I say rubbing my now throbbing temple. He nods, "You know I will always have your back brother." He bows and exits the room. I stand from my throne my long silver hair flowing behind me as I glide over to my gate. I step through and land outside of her house in the trees. I watch as she moves throughout her home. I look deep into her chest and there, in-between her breasts is a fierce glowing light. It is stronger now. She may even awaken before she is 18. Wouldn't that be something to see. The blueish glow resonating within her. I smile wickedly. That will be a wonderful power once it is nurtured. I step back into my throne room.
