Malik
I could hear the girls giggling as they passed by the kitchen. Their heels stopped as they ran into Ajax. He made a move on his girlfriend and decided it was funny to take a jab at me while he thought I wasn't around. I roll my eyes and decide to make an appearance. "What might I do?" I ask smugly, adding to their conversation. I catch a glimpse of Audra, and my goddess, did she look stunning. I stare at her for a little too long. Before ajax makes another comment about me melting. I glare at him, playfully hitting his arm. "You look amazing Audra. Did you want to head out early?" I ask, walking up to her. She noded and we all head out to where I've parked. We drive to the lake house the party is at. We arrive to the party early, and as expected there weren't very many people. We chatted and talked until everything got going. By nine o'clock, it was really starting to feel like a party. I sat with Audra, Isla and Ajax, and a few of my other friends, around a bonfire. We were all drinking and having a great time. One of my buddies sang and played the guitar, I figured now would be the perfect time to ask Audra to dance, "Hey, Audra, wanna dance?" I ask standing up from my chair, and extending my hand out to her. She nods her head yes, shyly. I smile and place my hand on her waist. I guided her as we danced through a few songs reveling in this moment with her. I wish I could tell her about me. I wished I could tell her about everything. It would make everything so much easier. Sure, I get to spend time with her on the weekends for a little while, but I really had to nurture that. And besides she didn't even know it was me let alone my parents. I wish they had stayed in town. I'm sure they would have loved to meet her in person today. Screaming snaps me out of my thoughts. Thick black smoke barrels up from the ground where the bonfire was. The flames jumping out at people. I pull audra close to me, shielding her from the danger. I look at her letting the panic slip. "Audra,
We need to go!" I say, frantically. A huge hoard of people came racing towards us. My worst fear happened and we were separated. I reach out for her hand as she is pulled farther and farther away from me. I whip my head from left to right looking for her anywhere and everywhere. " Malik, where's audra!?" Isla asks concerned. "She was pulled away from me, I can't find her." I say panicked. Ajax grabs my shoulder and forcefully spins me around. He points up towards the tree line. There she was. Being dragged into a warp gate. This whole thing was targeted, planned. I seethed. "How could this happen!" I scream. Then I remembered what today was. It was the night of the spirit moon. The one night a year I was weak. Still I tried, I pushed my way through the crowd, trying to reach the gate before she was fully gone. Just as I was about to reach her, huge flames erupted in front of me, stopping me in my tracks. Acheron(Ack-er-on) Stares at me from the flame. " The fact that you didn't know baffles me." He says slyly. "Know what?" I ask aggravated, "This better not be some type of game you're pulling." I say glaring at him. "Oh no, whatever would give you the idea this was a game. I'm completely serious. Your precious little mate is mine, and again the fact you didn't know about her is baffling." He says crossing his arms over his chest proudly. " And again know what?" I say getting more aggravated. He rolled his eyes and scoffed, "You are telling me that you didn't notice that she was an elemental? For shame honestly. The clues were all there. All you had to do was look." He says. I think back to all my previous encounters with her. Recalling how she looked in each one. It was right after the first night. That's when she changed, that run in with the rogue. That was enough to wake the dormant power within her. I was so blinded by my love I failed to see it. "Figure it out yet?" Acheron laughs. "You can't have her, she's mine." I say hitting his flame. He laughs once more, "All you are doing is distorting the image. You can't hurt me. In fact you will never figure out where I am, or where I have taken her. Don't worry, you can have her back once I've drained her of all her power. Though of course once I have done that she will be dead." He said laughing hysterically. "Don't worry though, I'll be nice and give you 4 years to find her. 2 years to awaken her power and 2 years for me to nurture it." He says smugly. I scream and rip at his flames trying to reach him. Ajax, who had been standing there for quite a while, rested his hand upon my shoulder in a comforting manner. "We'll find her. We will make him pay." He said his voice serious. "We will get back our Queen." Isla says coming up from behind him and placing her hand on my other shoulder. "Ha. I'd like to see you try." Acheron scoffs, before disappearing. And just like that my world came crashing to a halt.
