It is unknown what happened or at least books don't state what happened in general, but during the twenty-first century, a change happened that brought about devastation around Earth .
The phenomenon unknown to us but this phenomenon brought about a mutation in animal and plant life around the world turning them into evolved monsters ,some may obtain change in look and state while some may obtain change in size.
This phenomenon brought an equal mutation to humans granting them the powers to fight off these beasts ,those who take this job of fighting beasts are called enerions who become hunters.
That there is an E rank beast [Black emperor scorpion] it excels in poisoning like other scorpions."
This is a lot of information to take in ,and this is the longest sentence Aniyah has said to me .

Hmm ,this game thing connected to me seems to pick up information I learned about. It's interesting.
So something happened that turned animals into monsters called Beasts, but the same thing happened to humans granting them superpowers as well as enhanced physical abilities.
The scorpion was sort of asleep, but the moment we came, we stepped out of the cabin it woke up and then stared at us for a minute or so, then suddenly hopped down the building.
Its landing was accompanied by a small thud, then with its six legs,it ran towards us at full speed, and damn it's fast.

The scorpion was completely black with a carapace around it's head and had two eyes ,it had two huge pincers ,six legs and a really long tail with a stinger long enough to reach it's head .
It was about 200 inches ,close to the size of a truck.
It attacked Aniyah, who was at the front by smashing its pincer towards her .She hopped up in the air to dodge it, and then to steve's shock, she hopped mid-air.
She stepped on the air again as though there was another platform in the air , propelling herself to the scorpion's body, and using her two-handed sword, she slashed at its face.
The scorpion perceiving her attack hopped back to dodge it only to be met by Danso's axes'
Swinging two axe in the air, he smashed them into one of it's legs severing it completely. Afterwards, he retreated a bit.
The scorpion, seeing it's in danger, made a desperate attempt to escape.
Suddenly, the quiet neo was in front of it , wielding no weapons he ran towards it.
Some kind of mist flowed out of his body, and it began to be covered by a black icy armour.
Hopping a bit, he smashed his fist on the beast's face, sending it a couple of meters back.
Then the enthusiastic zuri ran on all fours different from others, then slashed with her claws extending from her hands at the beast's leg while spinning.
Her slash dealt a burning damage to one of its legs immobilizing another leg.
Steve was merely staring dumbfounded at the unnatural attacks this guys were giving at a 200 inches of height scorpion, although not shown on his face he felt excited and one thought was going through his head 'This is fun'.
Pulling out his sword, he joined the fray .
Running at top speed that shocked even his teammate, he reached the beast in seconds,with the adrenaline propelling him he did something crazy .
As he got close to one of the broken buildings he side stepped on one of the walls taking at least two steps on the wall he then hopped onto one of the scorpion's pincers that intended to smash him on the wall and ran on it as though it was a platform.
As the pincer was smashing into the side of the building, he ran towards its face, courtesy of Danso. The other pincer was occupied as all of his teammates wanted to see what he would do.
As he neared it's face he stabbed his sword into the pincer the used it as a ledge to glide down while ripping through the scorpion's body , using his leg he kicked off the pincer tossed one of his daggers at full force to the face of the scorpion impaling an eye deeply and then used his swords to slash through the leg of the scorpion severing another leg.
All his teammates were incredibly impressed by his display, especially with the fact that he didn't use any technique.
The scorpion seemed annoyed and smashed its stinger at them, but with a call from Aniya, the team retreated a bit, and it hit the ground.
Then something shocking happened,the scorpion hissed, then its stinger suddenly split in two, then the edges of both stingers touched each other, giving a weirdly shaped O as the centre
It was enraged and used a sort of innate skill of its species
And with that , a dark coloured liquid sprayed up from the connected pincers into the air, creating waves of said liquid splashing all around.
"Shit, fall back. We can't let that thing touch us."
With the retreat order from Aniya, the team retreated at least 30 meters.
20 meters surrounding the scorpion was a downpour of poison damping the ground in a dark colour while burning it.
"Shit, we can't kill it easily now."
The poison would cause incredible harm if it touched them,and it seemed to last a while they would have to attack it while trying not to get sprayed or they could wait out the technique for how long it lasted .
After a moment of silence, steve stated
"If I can get to it, I could kill it."
'With that attraction ability i learned, I could use it to pull myself towards it really fast to kill it in one stab from my sword.'
"My carapace is immune to poison for a bit ,I can last a minute or so under the poison."
"Okay, don't let that liquid touch any of you .
Let's see if steve can kill it."
'This is the first time we are fighting a poisonous beast,we could kill it, but I don't know what would happen if that poison touches us.'
"Everyone, our priority is to get steve to the beast. Kill it with one attack. Don't let that liquid touch you,if you don't kill it with that attack, you retreat immediately. " Aniyah said, looking at me.
'Okay, let's do this. Here is the plan. "
An attempt to kill the beast was being made.
Although they would be able to kill it easily if they went all out,they wanted to see what
Steve could do.
Note :These 'hunters' or normal civilians may not know what caused the beast appearing but it doesn't mean those of power and rank don't know what happened please don't consider the entire civilization dumb.
