Throughout the whole journey back home, she was in a daze.
IdiditIdiditIdiditIdiditIdidit!
Grabbing both her cheeks, she blushed brighter than a tomato. Burrowing her head down into her uniform, she kicked her feet in the backseat of the car. The chauffeur, noticing his mistress' sudden change in mood, was concerned. "Miss Yamino, are you okay? You don't seem well..."
Realizing that she had acted out of character, she quickly shook her head, "N-no! Nothing happened! Yes, nothing happened!" Waving her hands around like a dying fish, she quickly denied what was happening to her. Though the experienced chauffeur knew quickly what it was.
Looks like she is in love with a boy... Ah, the sweet scent of youth...
Chuckling while shaking his head, the chauffeur drove off from school, carrying Yamino Junko home. Throughout the whole journey, Junko stared out the window, too embroiled in her inner delusions to notice the passage of time. She only woke up when the chauffeur informed her that they had reached home.
Now back in reality, she quickly recomposed herself, knowing her father had recently returned home from Tokyo to deal with the aftermath of the Zeo Clan massacre. She knew better than to antagonize him at this moment in time, for the public was currently in chaos after the horrific act.
In front of the enormous manor, she gulped audibly. Breathing deeply, she calmed herself down. *Phoooh*, *haah*... nothing will happen...
Then, she entered.
Different from the usual silence, where you could still feel the liveliness in the servants' eyes, now they were all silent, heads bowed down. As she walked down the hallway, she could feel the stagnant atmosphere, indicating fear among them. As she walked down towards her father's office, she prayed that he would be in a good mood.
Breathe in, breathe out...it'll be alright...
Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door, entering once she heard a quiet grunt coming from inside the room. Seeing this as a clear indication of approval, she entered, a smile wide on her face. "Papa! How's your day been! You know, today I..."
Blasted by the sudden barrage, Masayoshi jolted back in surprise, before slouching down, realizing that it was his precious daughter that had come in. Putting down the phone in his hand, he opened his arms wide in a hug, glad that his precious daughter had come back home. After the loss of his wife to the Chinese Triads, she was all that remained.
After the quick hug, Junko folded her hands, jittering in anxiety. Upon noticing this, Masayoshi knew that Junko must have made an important decision, one that would impact her heavily. Taking a breath, she told her father:
"I...like someone."
This struck Masayoshi faster than thunder. After years of looking after her, someone was going to steal the precious padded cabbage!
How dare they!
Roaring deep in his mind, he smiled as if someone had poured industrial-grade lemon juice down his throat. "Oh, congratulations, dear! Could you please tell your dear papa who is it?"
Not noticing his smile, she shyly told him, "Umm...he goes by the name of Furukami Subaru!"
Masayoshi froze.
