Finally noticing that something was wrong, Junko looked up, only to see her father, frightened out of his wits. Concerned, she tapped him on his shoulders, trying to wake him up. This brought him back to reality.
Giving a nervous smile, he told her to leave, citing "Dad is tired today. Go to bed; we'll discuss this tomorrow together. Goodnight sweetie pie..." Kissing her on her forehead, he shooed her out of his business room.
Although very concerned about her father's sudden shift in mood, she obeyed his orders nevertheless, believing that he'd tell her someday. Reassured, she exited the room, walking back with slight joy in her steps. Upon hearing that no footsteps were being created, Masayoshi reclined back on his chair.
The boy's name evoked memories. Memories that still haunt him to this day.
But first of all, who destroyed the Zeo Clan! Damn it!
Masayoshi was pissed that the Zeo Clan was destroyed. Not because it was his goal to eradicate them, but because of something else.
The Zeo Clan's founder and creator was none other than Yamino Masayoshi himself.
Damn fools, I told them to keep it low! And weren't their first priorities to search for that damned amulet...!
Pinching his eyebrows, Masayoshi stared at the ceiling, thoughts chaotically floating through his head. After an hour of contemplation, he ragefully stood up from the chair, kicking it to the back of the room, nearly shattering the window.
I need to prioritize finding out who destroyed all my hard work, and whether or not they know that it was me who was funding all of their operations. This would cause a shitstorm if the public find out about my dirty dealings, causing my rating to plummet. I need to find them, and find them real quick!
If money can't buy them, then I'll buy their life!
As he prepared to order his men to find the perpetrator(s), he happened to glance at the drawer that had inadvertently opened in his rage-induced mania. Now calmed down, he prepared to close it but paused. A picture lay there, a picture of four men and women, all smiling together in harmony.
It was a picture of him, his wife, and the Furukami couple.
Oh, Toshio and Taiga...if you weren't only so stubborn...this could have been all avoided if you just listened to me and gave up the amulet to me. Though the both of you don't know the true value of it, claiming it to be just a cheap trinket of your family history, you lot still held onto it. Damn them, if they only just listened to me, you wouldn't have had to suffer all that torture. Yet they still refused to give up the location of the amulet...
Sighing once again, he placed the photo under the hidden compartment in the drawer, closing it. This is possibly the final time I look at you. Though I killed you, I still regret my deed. I pray the boy does not know, or else...
Turning off the lights, he headed out, ruminating through his greatest regret. Eyes drooping with sadness, they hardened once he remembered his mission.
He promised me that he would resurrect Hikari once I gave him the amulet. To me, this is the greatest gift of all...
