In a bustling city full of robust individuals it's always difficult to enjoy a bit of self time. After all it's a dog eats dog world.
Sam Foster, the CEO of Passion Industries—a company renowned for its luxurious fashion line of bags, purses, and clothing—was a man admired by many. His company dominated its field, a testament to his relentless drive and determination. But being successful doesn't mean being happy and for Sam it was a prison he can neither leave nor stay. He was so busy in propelling a successful business that he somehow lost track of his own happiness.
He had it all, money, fame and influence. Just about everything a man can ever dream off. But he was still missing something amd it felt like an empty void in his heart. Each day he would reluctantly visit his office and do the same thing over and over again. So, one evening after his office he decided to take a walk and abandoned his car in his office.
He sat on an unknown bus and just ran off straight into the abyss. He had no destination in mind, only a yearning to escape to leave behind the suffocating predictability of his life. As the bus rattled on, taking him farther from the city center, Sam felt a faint flicker of excitement, an unfamiliar thrill in venturing into the unknown.
When the bus finally reached its last stop, he stepped off into the crisp night air. Wandering aimlessly, Sam's gaze fell upon a small, dimly lit library tucked into the corner of the street. The sight was oddly comforting, and he decided to step inside, hoping to find something to distract his restless mind.
The library was quaint, its wooden shelves lined with books that carried the scent of aged paper and ink. But he was unsure what to read, so many books but what could serve his purpose. He was going in and out when he found a book lying next to the table. For some unknown reason he felt a pull towards it. Though he wasn't much interested in romance novels, he found it a bit interesting.
As he was scrolling his way out of the pages, he found a secret letter hidden inside one of the pages. It caught his attention and he decided to gave a read at it. As it seemed it was written by a girl who liked this novel so much that in her own mind she decided to leave a message.
She writes,
In a fantasy world there's a prince charming waiting for me. And here I am bound by fate and miles away. What if, I were a character from the book. Holding hands in hands with the man of my dreams, like the Prince from the book. We would ride the horse and run away far from the busy city where no-one would find us and we get to enjoy our time.
Where are you my Prince?
Will you see this letter?
Will you feel the way, I feel.
There was a wistful charm in her longing for a love so pure and simple, a love untainted by the chaos of the world. In some way, her words mirrored his own hidden desires, the urge to escape, to find something real and meaningful amidst the superficiality of his life.
Sam noticed that the letter served as a bookmark signaling that she didn't complete the book yet. Somehow Sam found her interesting and decided to write a reply to her letter.
Sam made up a name and played as a character from the book, he writes;
Dear miss charming,
How do you see the world is really a fascinating idea, however the reality is not always as simple as fantasy. Prince charming only exists in nooks or in dramas.
They give a unrealistic viewpoint of love.
You tucked your heart into these pages, leaving it for someone to find. Was it fate, or a moment of whimsy? Either way, I'm here now, and I can't help but wonder—did you imagine your prince charming would reply?
If I were to step into this story as your prince, what would we do? Would we escape the world's noise together? Or would we stay and carve out a quiet corner of our own amidst the chaos?
Your letter was a beginning, but every story deserves more than one voice. If you find this reply, write back. Let's see if fantasy and reality can meet somewhere in between.
Yours,
A Fellow Dreamer and perhaps your Prince?
