Runa knew she couldn't tell her family about the pregnancy test results. Not yet, at least. She needed to talk to Davis, her boyfriend, first. She made her way to his tiny apartment, her mind racing with thoughts of what she was going to say to him.
As she knocked on the door, she could hear the sound of laughter and music coming from inside. Davis answered the door, a big smile on his face. "Hey, baby! What's up?" he asked, opening the door wide to let her in.
Runa walked in, her eyes scanning the room. Davis was sitting on the couch, eating pizza and drinking cola. He looked happy and carefree, and for a moment, Runa felt a pang of guilt for what she was about to tell him.
She walked over to the couch and sat down at the far end, her arms crossed over her chest. Davis looked at her, concern etched on his face. "What's wrong, baby? You look upset."
Runa didn't say anything. Instead, she reached into her bag and pulled out the pregnancy test kit. She threw it at Davis's feet, her eyes blazing with anger.
Davis looked down at the test kit, confusion written all over his face. "What's this?" he asked, picking it up.
As soon as he saw the results, his face changed. He stared at the test kit for a minute, a look of wonder on his face. Then, he looked up at Runa, a big smile spreading across his face. "You're pregnant?" he asked, his voice full of excitement. "That's great news, baby! We're going to have a baby!"
Runa's anger boiled over at his words. "You think this is great news?" she spat, her voice venomous. "You think I want to be tied down by a baby?"
Davis looked taken aback by her reaction. He walked over to where she was sitting, his hands outstretched. "Hey, baby, calm down. We can figure this out together. We can get married and-"
Runa cut him off, her voice rising. "Marry you? Are you kidding me? You're not even rich. What could you possibly offer me?"
Davis looked hurt by her words, but he tried to reason with her. "Runa, please. Let's not talk about this like that. We're having a baby together. We need to think about what's best for our child."
Runa stood up, her eyes blazing with anger. "I don't want to talk about this anymore. And I don't want you to tell anyone about this. Do you understand?"
Davis nodded, looking confused and scared. "Yeah, I understand. But what do you want to do? Do you want to...abort it?"
Runa snorted in disgust. "Why not? I don't want to be tied down by a baby. And I definitely don't want to be tied down by you."
With that, she turned and walked out of the apartment, leaving Davis standing alone, looking confused and scared.
The next morning, Ruby arrived at the office, ready to tackle the day's tasks. As she settled at her desk, she tried texting Ethan, but he didn't respond. She sent another text, wondering if everything was okay. Still, there was no reply.
Ruby checked the time, noticing it was already 11 am. She found it unusual that Ethan wasn't at the office yet. He was always punctual, and his absence was starting to worry her.
Meanwhile, Ethan was busy with a surprise for Ruby. He had decided to buy her a car, and he wanted to make it a special gift. He arrived at the car dealership, where he was greeted by a friendly salesperson named Alex.
"Good morning, sir! Welcome to our dealership. How can I assist you today?" Alex asked, shaking Ethan's hand.
Ethan smiled, explaining that he was looking for a car for his fiancée. Alex nodded, asking questions about Ruby's preferences and driving habits. Ethan provided the details, and Alex showed him several models that fit Ruby's style.
As they walked around the dealership, Alex pointed out the features of each car, highlighting their safety records, fuel efficiency, and overall performance. Ethan listened attentively, taking mental notes as he compared the different models.
After test-driving a few cars, Ethan finally found the perfect one – a sleek, silver sedan with a luxurious interior and advanced safety features. He was impressed by the car's smooth handling and quiet ride.
"I'll take this one," Ethan said, smiling at Alex.
Alex beamed with satisfaction, congratulating Ethan on his excellent choice. "I'll get the paperwork started, sir. Would you like to customize the car with any additional features?"
Ethan thought for a moment before responding. "Yes, I'd like to add a premium sound system and a navigation package. And can you also include a personalized message on the dashboard?"
Alex nodded, taking note of Ethan's requests. "I'll make sure to include all those features, sir. We'll have the car ready for you by the end of the day."
With the car purchase taken care of, Ethan headed to a nearby florist to pick out some flowers for Ruby.
