Ethan walked into the florist shop, greeted by the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the warm smile of the florist, Mrs. Jenkins. She was a petite woman with silver hair and a kind face, surrounded by an array of colorful flowers and lush greenery.
"Good morning, young man!" Mrs. Jenkins exclaimed, her eyes twinkling with warmth. "What brings you to our shop today? Are you looking for something special?"
Ethan smiled, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. "Yes, I'm looking for a bouquet for my fiancée. Something that will make her feel special."
Mrs. Jenkins's face lit up with interest. "Ah, congratulations on your engagement! I'd be delighted to help you find the perfect bouquet. What's your fiancée's style like? Does she have a favorite flower or color?"
Ethan thought for a moment, trying to recall Ruby's preferences. "She loves red roses, but I also want to include some white flowers to represent our purity and innocence."
Mrs. Jenkins nodded thoughtfully, her hands moving deftly as she began to assemble a bouquet. "I have just the thing. Our red roses are freshly imported from Holland, and I can pair them with some beautiful white lilies. The lilies will add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the bouquet."
As Mrs. Jenkins worked her magic, Ethan couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at her skill and expertise. She was a true artist, and her passion for flowers was evident in every delicate petal and carefully placed stem.
"What do you think?" Mrs. Jenkins asked, holding up the finished bouquet for Ethan's inspection.
Ethan's eyes widened in admiration as he took in the stunning arrangement. The red roses were perfectly balanced by the white lilies, creating a breathtaking display of color and texture.
"It's beautiful," Ethan breathed, feeling a sense of pride and excitement. "My fiancée is going to love it."
Mrs. Jenkins smiled, her eyes twinkling with pleasure. "I'm so glad you like it. I'll include a card with a personalized message. What would you like it to say?"
Ethan thought for a moment before responding. "Could you write 'To the love of my life, forever and always'?"
Mrs. Jenkins nodded, her hands moving deftly as she wrote the message on the card. "That's beautiful," she said, smiling at Ethan. "I'm sure your fiancée will treasure it always."
Ethan made his payment and took the flower with smile on his face as he left the shop and drove to a jewelry shop, his eyes scanning the sparkling array of diamonds, gold, and silver on display. The shop was elegant and sophisticated, with soft music playing in the background and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
As he entered, a friendly sales associate, Mr. Thompson, greeted him with a warm smile. "Good morning, sir! Welcome to our shop. How can I assist you today?"
Ethan smiled, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. "Good morning. I'm looking for a wedding ring for my fiancée. Something special and unique."
Mr. Thompson's eyes lit up with interest. "Ah, congratulations on your engagement! We have a wide selection of wedding rings that might interest you. May I ask, what's your fiancée's style like? Does she prefer classic and traditional, or modern and trendy?"
Ethan thought for a moment, trying to recall Ruby's preferences. "She likes classic and elegant designs, but also something that's unique and special."
Mr. Thompson nodded thoughtfully, leading Ethan to a display case filled with stunning diamond wedding rings. "We have a few designs that might fit what you're looking for. This one, for example, is a classic solitaire diamond ring with a twist. The diamond is surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds, giving it a unique and elegant look."
Ethan's eyes widened as he took in the stunning ring. "Wow, that's beautiful. What kind of diamond is it?"
Mr. Thompson smiled. "It's a 2-carat round-cut diamond, certified by the Gemological Institute of America. The diamond is of exceptional quality, with a high color grade and clarity."
Ethan was impressed by the ring's quality and craftsmanship. He asked Mr. Thompson to show him more options, and they spent the next 20 minutes discussing different designs and settings.
Finally, Ethan smiled to himself, a mischievous glint in his eye. "You know, I think I've found the perfect ring. But I need something that's truly unique. Something that will make my fiancée feel special."
Mr. Thompson raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? And what might that be, sir?"
Ethan's smile grew wider. "I'm looking for a Ruby ring. You see, my fiancée's name is Ruby, and I think it would be perfect if the ring had a ruby stone or a ruby accent."
Mr. Thompson's eyes lit up with excitement. "Ah, what a wonderful idea, sir! We do have a few ruby rings in our collection. Let me show you some options."
Ethan's heart skipped a beat as Mr. Thompson led him to a display case filled with stunning ruby rings. He couldn't wait to see the look on Ruby's face when he presented her with the perfect ring.
As Mr. Thompson showed him the various ruby rings, Ethan's eyes widened with excitement. He had never seen anything so beautiful. Finally, he spotted the perfect ring - a stunning platinum band with a large, oval-cut ruby stone surrounded by smaller diamonds.
"This one," Ethan said, his voice filled with conviction. "This is the one I want."
Mr. Thompson smiled, nodding in approval. "Excellent choice, sir. That's a truly unique and beautiful ring."
Ethan couldn't wait to put the ring on Ruby's finger. He asked Mr. Thompson to engrave "E&R" on the inside of the band, and Mr. Thompson nodded, making a note on the order form.
With the ring selected, Ethan made the payment and Mr. Thompson handed him a small, elegant box containing the ring.
"Congratulations, sir," Mr. Thompson said, smiling. "I hope your fiancée loves the ring."
Ethan grinned, feeling elated. "I'm sure she will," he said, tucking the box into his pocket.
With the ring taken care of, Ethan headed to the hotel where he had arranged for a car and flowers to be prepared. He had booked a luxurious sedan, complete with a chauffeur, to take Ruby on a surprise ride. The flowers, a stunning bouquet of red roses and white lilies, were already arranged in the car, along with a small, elegant box containing the ring.
Feeling satisfied with the arrangements, Ethan headed to his company, arriving just after 3 pm. Rubu greeted him and wanted to ask why he didn't show up on time but he silenced her question with a hug, "have dinner with me, mmm?"
"Stop it! No, until you explain where you have been, are you seeing someone else now?" she teased, smiling
"Hahaha, no comments, I have some works to do, and I will take that as yes, I will pick you up after work," Ethan said, and walked into his office, locking the door behind him.
He the rest of the afternoon in meetings, but his mind kept wandering to Ruby and the surprise he had planned for her.
As the day drew to a close, Ethan couldn't wait to put his plan into action. He smiled to himself, feeling excited and nervous at the same time. Tonight was going to be a night to remember.
