I was to say the least, very sad I had my life come to a end without having anything happened, no miracles like the books I read on those cultivators which grew so strong after something happening. A part of me knew it was merely a fantasy to be able to cultivate for me.
I wasn't thrilled at the fact I was dying, but I at least wanted something, even if it may be selfish I thought I deserved it after suffering for so long I only wished I could've saved my friend from death.
As soon as I closed my eyes for one final time after seeing my parents I had jolted awake as water splashed on my body as I looked up confused.
I had felt a lot younger, my physical features had changed and I saw himself in what I wore years ago, for a second I wanted to blink once more to see if it was a dream, but when I heard a voice speaking to me softly I turned... At the sight of my mother, but a lot younger than she was before she had died.
"What have I told you about staying asleep for so long? Well get up, You need to get ready to go get food!"
I was stunned as I saw my mother, I didn't move for a bit, I sat staring like a statue without a change in my posture. Mom, with how attentive she was quickly realized this and hit me on the head lightly as I shook my head with me nodding. I didn't wanna say anything right now since I was still processing the situation.
I would've signed to my mom that I was going and that I was going to get ready. I walked out of the room going to the bathroom and noticed something pop up as I closed the door.

I looked tilting my head, I mean I had no way to answer except think of it.

I felt a little embarassed asking something obvious.

I looked at the system, I saw my cultivation level, alchemy rank and extra information about myself, I didn't think I'd be able to cultivate but this could possibly help, I scrolled through the second tab which was on the System as I saw every cultivation level there was, even some I didn't even know existed.
I was thrilled until well until my memory of not being able to cultivate returned, I would've scrolled back up to the top to see my level which was highlighted, and saw a unlock button on it, Slowly I moved my hand to touch it and a pop up appeared.
[Would you like to ascend to the next realm? You are stuck at a level which is unable to collect Qi]
I quickly clicked ascend as I felt my body change with my physical appearance showing a lot more muscle along with my body releasing some sort of impurities, my cultivation rose to the lowest level which was body forging, of which had 5 stages each for a different system of ones body, the first one was their outer shell which was his skin meaning I was a lot more powerful now, though not enough considering I couldn't even collect Qi.
[Would you like to ascend to a higher level?]
I stared once again and decided against it for right now, I still had to get used to this and would've stepped into the shower of which after I finished changed into more decent clothing, I dried my long hair, I was told my ladies they were envious of my long hair and wanted it, I felt a little flattered though they don't say anything to me anymore except for a select few which don't care about cultivation level when having friends.
I looked at my mom which was sitting next to dad, I felt a little bad getting this opportunity yet being unable to fix my dad's condition, We didn't have money. We didn't even have servants.
But for a second I remembered the system, I looked towards it as the syst- No, as Shaper opened and suddenly showed that a third tab had been unlocked, I quickly went too it while my mom was lying down on dad's lap and soon had even went to sleep, all while I looked extremely happy.
Shaper had the ability to give quests in which I gained money, a lot of it as well... But the name of it was weird, A Storyline quest, Though I didn't mind it since the quest gave a lot of money.

I looked confused as I read what I needed to do, but I didn't care. As long as it helped my parents I'd do it, I walked outside the house going to the store anyways while taking the 500 Copper mom gave me to get food, I stretched before going, I ascended once more, I could feel my heart and every artery connected to it explode or at least felt like it did.
All my blood which was originally impure and unable to contain Qi would disappear. I needed a few more levels to actually start cultivating, I stood still as I held in the scream of pain just barely, I was hoping the rest of the levels wasn't as bad as I ascended once more after I was able to get rid of the pain.
Once I reached the third level, I felt nothing wrong, my senses were instead enhanced and I able to hear from a mile away literally and see much clearer, in fact I was able to see others Qi and what cultivation level they were at, I ascended once more to the fourth level in where my bones were remodeled and become harder to break than steel. This wasn't painless but still wasn't as bad as feeling like my heart exploded.
"Hey Freak why are you just standing outside your home!"
A person walked up, I didn't know him but could see this guy hadn't cultivated a day in his life, he was only on the first stage of Bone Forging.
"What too stunned to speak-"
His friends laughed with him as he said this though, I didn't need to put up with him and so I punched him right in the nose as his friends could hear a audible crack with him being sent back onto the ground a few feet from where he stood.
I looked at the other two who looked back as I walked off lifting my middle finger at them before walking off, as I now unlocking the final stage of Bone Forging which removed impurities from the rest of my body in a black goop escaped my body but never stained anything touching the ground looking like oil.
I reached the final stage and bone forging and could feel the Qi entering my body from something as simple as breathing, it wasn't something which was possible for others, only those with high enough cultivation which could do it.
I continued to stroll through the streets for a small amount of time before finding an abandoned store, even if it wasn't needed nor likely that it had the Lotus my curiosity got the best of me.
I walked into an alleyway which led to a wall blocking the back of the store, Normally I'd have to climb but now I could jump up being able to just jump high enough where I could land on top of it. I safely landed and saw something glowing, as soon as I turned to the side as I walked over to it grabbing it, I got a ding notification in my mind.

Once I saw the message I felt happy as I putting the Lotus into my pocket, the next quest showed up though I ignored it for now, I left to go too the store to get food which mom asked me to get, but right now I felt a lot happier from what had happened right now.
