Chapter 2 - Getting More!

Once I reached the Store I entered waiting in line while people got everything they needed, upon hearing a voice speak up and shout against another person who was clearly smiling, though from their facial features and body language I could tell they weren't doing anything good.

I had no reason to pry into the conversation and either way I couldn't, But also I didn't want to get into any Drama, While the two spoiled kids got into a fight they moved around the building with no guards there yet though the lady over the counter called them, As they went around attacking each other with it escalating a blade flew towards my head, though it was slow and I was able to move my head just enough that it didn't hurt me. Just incase anyone else got hurt from me dodging I would've grabbed onto the blade throwing it back too them

"Aren't you Shang? The guy who the entire town has been going on about the fact you can't cultivate! What are you saying to lecture us, you're weak!"

I sighed resorting to staying out of violence and turning away from them seeing as it was best to stay out of conflict so nothing with family happened. I didn't want to get his mom to apologize even if I was in the right, Nor did I want to get targeted by some random guy who I wouldn't even remember.

The other two hurled insults at each other and even me, though at this point I paid no mind to it, finally the guards walked in and dragged the two kids away with them screaming, the rest of the time at the store went just as expected.

"Nice to meet you Shang, you look a lot better compared to before, you used to be so tired you don't look like that anymore! You want the usual?"

I had nodded my head showing No with her taking out what was a paper, she rarely did it but it was just for me, I felt a little embarrassed she had to take out a paper just for me since I couldn't tell her even though I could point at it, It felt inconvenient to do this all for a single customer but I did feel a little happy at the fact she did it.

I would've pointed at a Medicine which my dad needed but we couldn't get at least with how much my mom gave me otherwise we would've starved, I wouldn't mind starving to have my dad live longer but I didn't want my mother to suffer because of it as well, I got a weeks worth of Medicine for father with the money I got from the quest taking out from the pocket or making it seem that way even though I was using Shaper to deposit the amount I needed for it.

"Is there anything else you want?"

I would've pointed at a few more expensive but not too expensive items, mostly used to help mother with her back pain and also food which wasn't just simple bread, I was going to go somewhere else with the rest of the Money I had considering I used up all the copper along with 8 Silver.

I smiled taking the bag of Items and walked off waving her goodbye as she put the paper back under the counter, I felt a little different feeling Qi circulate around my body since it was a very foreign energy to me, I estimated it would take a day to gain enough Qi to actually start cultivating and be able to use any Techniques. But at least it was faster than most others considering it takes months to reach the Pinnacle of Bone Forging and you couldn't even cultivate until you were 18, and if you were lucky 17.

Finally reaching my home I dropped everything off taking out the Medicine and walking over to dad I poured some into his soup of which he drank, while it would take a while to take effect, the worst that could happened was some dizziness but otherwise his immune system would start working once again.

"Back home so early? You usually take an hour to get back."

I nodded smiling as I walked over hugging her, My mother jolted a little from the sudden hug as I slowly started to tear up. Maybe it was because I saw my parents again, Alive and well, Or because I could cultivate... No it was definitely because of my Parents being alive.

My mother looked confused but hearing me cry made her a little worried and she hugged back, patting my back, sure I was older than her considering my time travelling but, In the end I'm still her kid.

"Why are you crying Shang?"

I would stop hugging her with a smile giving her medicine and then the rest of the money I had, I felt like she would spend the money better, She would've looked at my hand with shock and then with concern.

"H-How, Y-You didn't do something wrong Right?"

I nodded no with a blank face, I turned away not going to elaborate anymore on what I gave, I left the house once again stretching hearing a lot of pops from my body as I looked around in confusion, I though some sort of explosion had happened with how loud it was and I went on guard.

"Woah, Heya! Hello it's nice to meet you...-"

I turned towards the person speaking to me, she was short I looked down, I thought I was short though now that I see I got a little taller, maybe like an inch or two, So I was at 6'2 or 3 now, I wouldn't be able to respond to her so instead I had decided to bend down onto the ground and grab a stick as I wrote on the ground my name. [Shang Haoyu]. She turned to me confused before I put a cross of two fingers in front of my mouth indicating I couldn't speak at all.

"Ah- Sorry I didn't mean to seem rude- It's a pleasure to meet you Shang, My name is Qing Xuan."

I smiled moving my hand to give a sort of greeting by shaking our hands, she reached her hand out grabbing mine as he shook it awkwardly as I let go of it after a few seconds with her doing the same, I would've waited for her to say something considering I couldn't communicate much, But I noticed a pop up appear in front of me as I saw it showed the ability of Telepathy because I couldn't communicate, but it could be a lot more useful considering I could relay information to others while doing something. I would've accepted it and finally spoke, at least within my mind, it still gave the tone of voice I had to convey emotion and all.

{"I apologize, I am unable to speak right now, though I've got this ability to speak through the mind- You don't need too but it would be better if you did since I don't want you to sound crazy-"}

She would've looked around a little surprised and then looked back with her thoroughly confused for a few seconds before composing herself and speaking to me.

"Ah- It's fine, I just didn't expect for someone to have an ability like that, it startled me, Anyways, what have you been doing? I don't know any other way to start a conversation since I didn't really have friends-"

{"Just getting Medicine and food for my parents, I also began cultivating after removing the curse which was stopping me from doing so, At least it felt like a curse."}

"A curse? The only type of people who could do that are Either Demonic Humans or Alchemists..."

{"Demonic Humans? I haven't heard of that before."}

"Demonic Humans are people which convert to the side of the Demons in order to gain a power boost but in exchange lose their sense of morality but keep some semblance of intelligence."

I had no idea people even did this, It would've been tempting to do that before going back in time... But now I actually had a way to cultivate which wasn't that, and I at least still kept my intelligence, and fabulous looks.

{"I see, I guess I'll watch out for them, I never knew they even existed... So what have you been doing? I don't think I've seen you here before."}

"Ah, I'm actually new here, I just moved here because of my parents finding this a better place to stay, But I must ask, you look very strong... What's your cultivation level?"

I looked at her as she asked the question, I was hesitant on giving the answer considering the fact I couldn't trust her fully, but looking at her seeing her cultivation was at Bone Forging III, she must've felt a lot of pain once she reached it and I found no other reason to be wary of her.

{"I'm at Bone Forging 5..."}
