As I swept in the garden, the breeze passes through me.
"I didn't know the world I created could this be beautiful…" I looked at the vast garden before me. There were a lot of flowers and butterflies. "Let me stay here…"
…
I shook my head. "What do you think you're saying Iris.
You're an anomaly here – even worst, your tier is the lowest!" I let go of the broom.
"Why am I the lowest?!? I should at least be somewhere between high and moderate tier – even better god tier!"
I continued ranting until I heard a sound nearby. I turned around to see what it was and unexpectedly it was a person.
"Why are you here?" I asked him.
Exian looks at me and damn that beautiful features of him. I swear I'll faint at the sight of it.
"This garden is my relaxing spot." He stated.
"Understandable since you're beautiful – I mean it's beautiful! This garden is!"
Exian blinked and chuckled. "I know right?"
Look at his smile so pretty
[The voice in your head said you're a simp]
Shut up.
"…Do you want to walk around this garden with me?" Exian asked.
Suddenly, I can feel my ear drums cleaning themselves and I'm hearing in colors. "SURE!"
Exian looked startled as I exclaimed my answer. He smiled and we walked side by side.
"You're the trainee with the lowest tier, right?" he asked.
"I've heard your rants earlier and – "
"I believe in the saying that if you have a secret, it's better to tell it to a corpse because they remain quiet no matter what."
And we stood quietly, looking at one another for good 5 minutes.
Exian smiled awkwardly. "Your beliefs are rather quite unique."
He looked at the bush of roses behind me and plucked one white rose. He then placed it in my hair, looking contentedly at it.
"What is this for?" I was clearly taken aback by his gesture.
[The voice inside your head raises an eyebrow and says you're being petty]
"I just thought it'll suit someone like you and it did."
Then an array of light appeared in the center of the temple that caught their attention.
"Woah what's that streak of light?" I asked, mesmerized by the beauty of it.
Exian looked serious. "It's the Seleste hour. I apologize but I should be going now."
"Wait what- "
"See you soon." With that he left.
I watched his retreating figure.
"This man sure knows how to make moves. Did I write him to be like that???" I placed my hand under my chin as if thinking like a great philosopher. "Huehue it must be my greatness. Like author, like oc. Right impulsive thoughts?"
-----
[I must agree on this one. The root is the fruit.]
"Woah where did you learned to say something like that?"
[I know a lot of @thi$5@$##]
"…What?"
[!&@^@!%]
…
[@*#@$]
[3rror!}
------
I looked confused. I cannot comprehend what it's trying to say.
"Uhm? Hey?"
I was starting to get concerned not until I heard a voice that sent a shiver down my spine.
"You are her."
It feels close… like it Is almost behind me. I frankly turned around and saw no one.
Did I hear it right?
------
[Hey?]
[You're being too quiet]
It's back!
"Why did you suddenly crash?"
[What?]
Is it only me?
[The voice inside your head is confused.]
"Iris!"
I snapped out of my thoughts and saw Lylia walking towards me.
"I have been looking for you!"
"Did you overwork? You're sweating quite a lot." she offered me her tissue napkin.
I shook my head, forcing a smile as I accepted Lylia's tissue napkin. "No, I'm fine. Just… got lost in thought."
Lylia frowned, not buying my excuse. "I know you better than this. You should've waited for me.
I could've lent you a hand. After all, this garden is quite vast."
Her concern touched my heart. That's a first.
"I appreciate it." I replied, dabbing the sweat from my forehead. "But really I'm fine!"
[The voice inside your head says you look like you've seen a ghost.]
I ignored it, trying to focus on Lylia's words as she continued.
"Wait… is that a white rose in your hair?" she asked, pointing at it.
My hand shot up instinctively, brushing against the delicate petals. I froze for a moment then forced a casual laughed. "Oh, this? Yeah, I – uh, put it in there myself earlier. Thought it looked nice"
Lylia raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. "You? Putting a flower in your hair? That's new"
I shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant. "What can I say? I felt being like a pretty maiden today"
Lylia unexpectedly gagged… well a fake gag.
"Hey I'm offended." I joked.
She laughed. "Well, it does suit you, I suppose"
