Rhett dived into the figure.
"Hey… hey!", he said.
They struggled on the ground, rolling around, the figure trying to cut Rhett in half who was escaping for his life.
Meanwhile Haicor went over to where Ash was tied and commanded, with the snapping of her fingers, one of the albatrosses to use its beak and untie Ash who rolled off the table onto the ground as he was untied.
"You dear not interrupt a sacrifice you nitwit", the figure said with a hoarse and thick voice.
Rhett managed to stand up and doing so, he quickly moved away from the figure, who trying to get on his feet, gritted it's teeth.
Suddenly the figure was up, in a kind of style, it's feet dancing on the wind as it got up. Rhett was expecting something and was quite braced for a fight.
The figure suddenly leaped in the air and somersaulted forward, landing on his feet. Rhett was quite stunned, his eyes was wide open and he didn't even know when a fist drove into the side of his face.
The blow carried force and Rhett only slumped to the floor. The figure waved it's sword in the air, brandishing it, the place that was supposed to show it's face pure darkness. A darkness that seemed like a surge of dark matter hid Inside.
Rhett coughed twice and the last effort produced thick blood. The figure raised the sword more higher and in a split second after that, he was sending it down on Rhett's face.
BAM!
A leg kicked the sword away, it was Haicor.
The sword flew to the side and that made the figure angry as it gave out a short shout of anger.
Ash, standing far off, a little sign of fear in his eyes, stared on. Haicor knew the figure would go berserk right about now and she hope the distraction she was about to make would help weaken the figure.
She gave out a loud clap and the albatrosses plunged into the figure who was about to get mad. They used their feathers to deliver slaps on the figure's face and their feets to kick it. Basically, they were trying to wear him off.
Rhett stood up and reeling into a run, he got over to where Ash was.
"You okay?", he asked.
"I guess", came the reply.
The figure was still trying to free itself from the birds. It would take a lot of effort for it to do so, because a figure against seven large birds?, the person taking the advantage was clear.
"Get off me you daft birds!", the figure said on top of it's voice, his back on the ground, trying to get up but being restricted from doing so because of the birds. From the figure's voice, it was clear that it was male and with it's muscular build, it was very sure.
"Who's him?", Rhett asked Ash using his head to point at the figure.
"Says he's a godslayer and that he needs to slay me because I'm a god", came the reply from Ash.
Rhett couldn't let go a grin so he flaunted it.
"A maniac I see".
"Yeah", Ash said. "Those birds can't hold him for long, we've got to find a way to escape or settle this amicably with him, which I doubt is quite impossible".
Rhett stared at Haicor who stared back and soon came up to him.
"The birds can't hold him for long, they'll soon get tired, we've got to think of another way of getting past here", Haicor said to Ash and Rhett.
The figure was still struggling with the birds.
"Where did you see him?", Rhett asked Ash.
Ash smiled. "You guys are referring the figure as HIM, to me it's IT cos it's kinda immortal", said Ash. "When I fell off the albatross, I called your names when I was falling but the wind seemed to have blew some breeze into your ears and blocked it. So I fell and surprisingly I wasn't hurt, I landed on a soft pinkish grass. Getting up to figure out what was happening, the figure caught me".
Rhett and Haicor felt that Ash hadn't completed the tale and they stared at him in inquiring faces.
"And?", Haicor finally said, her face a kind of scowl, it was a inquiring scowl.
Ash shrugged. "Well, 'HE' dragged me over to this place which surprisingly, I met a table waiting for me. He said he'd slay me as an appease. It seriously seemed so kinky to me a laughed. That was until I found out he was serious and also a god slayer".
Rhett made a face. "Well we're doomed if he's a god slayer cos' certainly he'll turn us to 'god statues'."
Ash suddenly pointed to the figure. "He's struggling out of the albatrosses", he turned to Rhett and holding his left hand by the wrist, pushed him forward. "Go get the sword!".
Rhett literally danced forward, the wind swaying his tattered looking cloth as he ran, his face sweating from the pressure.
The figure in the cloak had already grabbed an albatross by the neck and shoving it aside, it kicked another, rolled on the floor and coming out of the roll, kicked one by the face.
Rhett managed to pick up the sword, holding it, it felt heavy and mighty and Rhett felt it a really big deal to hold it.
The figure had finished kicking the birds now and weak, they all fell aside. Stretching his fingers, the figure twisted his neck and faced Rhett.
"You wanna fight me hey?", he asked Rhett.
Haicor and Ash pulled back the more now, their faces in fear, it greatly showed on Ash's face while it had little effect on Haicor's.
"If you want to", Rhett replied the question the figure had earlier asked him. "See, we could resolve this amicably".
The figure jerked his head backwards in laughter.
"I've slayed the great gods, the fallen gods, the ancient gods, the primordial gods and hell!, even a dragon slayer and you won't be the last!".
Rhett panicked now, this was bad.
