"Ethan," Mr. Hendrix began, his voice measured and authoritative. "I couldn't help but notice your remarkable performance in the basketball game earlier today. In particular, I'm intrigued by your ability to withstand the collision with a player wearing a bot."he said.
Ethan swallowed nervously, aware of the weight of Mr. Hendrix's unexpected praise. He struggled to find the right words to explain the inexplicable.
"Well, sir," Ethan began tentatively, "I'm not entirely sure how to explain it myself. It was just... instinct, I suppose. I didn't consciously do anything different, but somehow I managed to stay on my feet." Ethan said.
Mr. Hendrix nodded thoughtfully, his expression unreadable as he absorbed Ethan's response. "Instinct," he repeated, as if testing the word on his tongue. "Perhaps there's more to it than meets the eye,"Mr Hendrix said.
Ethan shifted uncomfortably in his seat, the weight of Mr. Hendrix's implication hang heavily in the air.
"If Mr Hendrix suspects me to have powers, he is right to think so because a normal human without wearing boots wouldn't have survived that accident. I need to remain calm", Ethan wondered in his mind.
The encounter had only served to deepen the mystery surrounding his newfound abilities, leaving him to wonder what other secrets lay waiting to be uncovered in the ever-expanding labyrinth of the company's inner workings.
As Mr. Hendrix leaned forward, his gaze fixed intently on Ethan, he awaited an explanation for the seemingly miraculous feat witnessed during the basketball game.
"So tell me Ethan, what really did you do, how did you do it?"Mr Hendrix asked once again.
Ethan, however, hesitated, grappling with the weight of the truth and the potential consequences of revealing it.
"I... I don't know," Ethan stammered, his voice betraying the turmoil raging within him. He knew he possessed the Internal Bot, that mysterious source of strength and resilience, but the thought of telling this closely guarded secret to Mr. Hendrix filled him with apprehension.
Mr. Hendrix's expression remained unreadable, though a hint of skepticism flickered in his eyes. "Are you sure?" he pressed, his tone gentle yet probing. "There must be some explanation for what occurred,"he asked once again.
Ethan hesitated, kept between the desire to confide in Mr. Hendrix and the fear of the repercussions that could follow. In the end, he shook his head, his resolve faltering under the weight of his own uncertainty.
"I'm sorry, sir," Ethan replied, his voice betraying him . "I... I really don't know sir." Ethan said.
Mr. Hendrix regarded Ethan for a moment longer, his gaze lingering as if searching for the truth hidden beneath the surface. Finally, he nodded, a subtle acknowledgment of Ethan's reluctance to disclose more.
"Very well, Ethan," Mr. Hendrix said, his tone tinged with a hint of disappointment. "You may go."Mr Hendrix said calmly as he forced out a smile.
As Ethan rose from his seat and made his way to the door, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air. He knew he had chosen to keep the truth hidden, but at what cost? And what would the future hold now that the seed of doubt had been planted in Mr. Hendrix's mind?Ethan wondered.
With tension in his heart, Ethan left Mr. Hendrix's office, his thoughts consumed by the weight of the secret he bore and the uncertain path that lay ahead.
As Ethan and Johnathan made their way home from the eventful day, the atmosphere between them was tinged with a sense of solemnity. Ethan's encounter with Mr. Hendrix had left him feeling unsettled, while Johnathan's curiosity lingered like a shadow between them.
As they walked side by side, the silence stretched between them until Johnathan finally broke it, his voice hesitant yet earnest.
"Ethan," he began, his tone filled with a mixture of curiosity and concern, "I couldn't help but notice... how did you manage to survive that collision without wearing any bots?" Jonathan said.
Ethan glanced sideways at his friend, noting the furrow of Johnathan's brow and the searching look in his eyes. He knew he couldn't keep the truth hidden forever, yet the weight of the secret pressed down on him like a burden too heavy to bear.
"It's... complicated, Johnathan," Ethan replied, his words measured as he struggled to find the right way to explain. "There's something... different about me now. Something I can't quite explain."he said.
Johnathan's expression softened, a mixture of understanding and concern flickering across his features. "Different? What do you mean?" Jonathan asked, his curiosity piqued.
Ethan hesitated, grappling with the desire to confide in his friend and the fear of what revealing the truth might entail. Yet, in the end, he knew he couldn't keep Johnathan in the dark any longer.
"It's the Internal Bot," Ethan confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. "I... I have it inside me. It's what gave me the strength to survive the collision."
As the weight of Ethan's revelation settled between them, Johnathan's eyes widened in astonishment. "The Internal Bot?, the one BEX BOTS has...you mean you stole it" he echoed, his voice filled with disbelief. "But... how?" Jonathan asked.
Ethan shrugged helplessly, his own understanding of the situation still shrouded in uncertainty. "I don't know, Johnathan," he admitted. "But it's there, inside me, changing me in ways I can't fully comprehend,"Ethan replied.
"You stole the bot, dude...now I get why you told me to wait for you outside back then in the company, you were stealing"Jonathan said angrily.
"It was a mistake, I didn't have the intention to steal it, it just entered my body somehow"Ethan said.
"Hope you know what that means...it means we're screwed"Jonathan said.
The two friends walked on in silence, each lost in their own thoughts as they grappled with the revelation that threatened to reshape their understanding of the world around them.
For Ethan and Johnathan, the journey home was a journey into the unknown, filled with questions and uncertainties that would linger long after they reached their destination.
As the sun rose on the following day, the halls of BEX BOT company buzzed with activity as employees filed into the office, ready to tackle the day's tasks. Among them, Mr. Dominic, head of security, stood at the forefront, his expression grim as he gathered a team of security personnel for a special assignment.
