Chapter 18 - Oh brother

If she could open the ground and let it swallow her, now was the perfect time.

Even though it had just rained and the weather was quite chill, sweat beads managed to form on her forehead.

When Dominic died, her first instinct was to run to Eden, but now, the tables have turned and she wants to run from him so badly.

How ironic.

Eden was staring directly into her eyes. His first expression was that of surprise, but then, he quickly masked it with an aloof one.

But she could tell that he was already hatching plans on how to get her and rip her throat out.

She was so caught up in staring at Eden that she didn't notice that Prince Tryphon had already started walking away from the blazing Corpse of the King.

She rushed to the side of his table, that wine Flagon held tightly against her chest.

The crowd watched the fire crackle and envelop the king's body. Everyone except Eden who has his eyes on Iris the whole time.
