Tryphon slammed the door with so much aggression that the strong walls shook.
His eyes traveled to Iris who watched the fury in his eyes with fear in her own.
"How did you get that necklace?" His voice was rough and loud.
He was so angry. He hated that the fury had taken over him to the extent that he couldn't put it in check. He has always managed his anger well.
But with this funeral, the killers plotting behind his back, the other missing gems, and his mother talking about marriage, he had lost his bearings.
"Answer the question Iris," He said, his tone going down at the mention of her name.
"The Late Duchess of Taaff Hills gifted it to me," She placed her hand on the pendant as if it meant the world to her.
From the way she spoke, he did not sense any form of deception. But he couldn't be too sure.
Something was not right.
She would have sold that precious thing and lived a good life instead of working in the kitchen.
