Chapter 1 - The Release Day

She has been imprisoned in the dungeons of the Celestara Castle for 365 days for a treason she didn't know of , until the day came that she was released . But not quite as released as she thought when she was suddenly bathed and put in a dressing room to wear a wedding gown.

Doomed. She knew she was destined to a fate she hadn't planned for and to a life she didn't know or have any clear memory of.

Standing in front of the large square mirror, she watched in silence as the handmaids worked around her, their hands moving with practiced precision. Her eyes followed each motion, lingering on their every gesture, as they carefully prepared her for the "big day," the weight of their actions not lost on her.

She didn't know what was happening yet at the same time she was aware of what was happening and what awaited her . She wished to scream but for what ? What could be the reason for her frustration when she didn't even know where she was , who she was , why she was here and who the people surrounding her were ?

Swallowing , she lifted her glassy eyes to the mirror where she witnessed a beauty so remarkable that she was astonished herself , yet too scared to even believe it. Who is she ?

She was suddenly left alone in the room , maybe for some space , but she was too frightened to move , or even dare part her lips to even speak to herself even .

Her irises are silver , her pupils white , her eyelashes black and her lips light pink and small . Her hair is long and silver , now clean and smelling fresh . Too long it reaches her knees . Her arms are slender and pale . Her whole skin is pale , like she was sick or something . But it looked natural. Who could she ask ? Who can tell her that this her natural skin color or she was just sick .

Her heart leaped yet she held her composure as the double doors of the room opened and in entered a lady dressed in a royal blue formal gown too , yet hers differed from hers that was large and filled the whole room .

As the lady bowed , she noticed how all of the other maids bowed too - realising that they were bowing to her , she was more eager as to find out why .

"Good evening , my lady or should I say , your Majesty." The lady smiled , her smile unsettling ,"It's the big day , my lady. Not for you and the future King of the Lunareth Kingdom only but also for all of us and the disciples of the Kingdom . I am - Ohh - I am almost forgot. The king ordered me to pass this to you ," the lady pulled out a small square box and opened it to reveal a golden bracelet. The band was slender, adorned with intricate designs of a crescent moon, its edges gently curled as though embracing the sky. Small stars encircled the bracelet, each one carefully etched, their tips glistening like tiny diamonds.

"It's beautiful ." At the sudden words that escaped from the lady's lips , the court lady that held the box perked her head up as if shocked the lady could speak . "Is it a gift ... for me ?"

"Yes , my lady. It's from the King , do you like it ?" The court lady asks , her last question not sounding any different to the lady that didn't pay attention to the court lady's meaning behind the question .

"Yes I do ." It was a simple answer that shouldn't have meant no harm , yet to the court lady it gave off something that she and the Kingdom should avoid having .

Smiling , the court lady clapped her hands , startling the lady yet she didn't show it . "Great ! I'll help you go through the events of today until the last ceremony . But before we start I'll get the handmaids prepare you a little something to calm the nerves . Nancy!" A young lady entered the room with her head bowed ,"Prepare the tea for the lady ." The court lady informed Nancy without giving any specific information about the type of tea before she turned to the Lady after Nancy left the room to follow her orders . "Now ," the court lady claps her hands again , getting the lady's pupils to dilate in shook before regaining her composure ,"Back to the royal crowning ceremony ."

Royal crowning ? The lady's breath caught in her throat as the words sank in. Her heart pounded, a strange mixture of fear and confusion swirling in her chest. A royal crowning? The thought felt foreign, like a distant dream that had no place in her present reality. She stood there, her fingers trembling, as the lady before her continued to speak, oblivious to the turmoil brewing inside her. She wanted to ask why and to get the affirmation that it wasn't her , that maybe she's the guest but she knew the truth.

The weight of the bracelet in her hand felt almost too heavy, like it was a reminder of something she had forgotten. The moon, her constant companion, felt as distant as her past.

To distract herself from the panic she was feeling , her fingers payed with the bracelet and while she did so , something struck her mind , a jolt of pain before the court lady's voice felt distant and her vision turned hazy and cloudy , where she saw a bracelet, the same bracelet she wore in a flashback.

"My lady ." Jolting back to the present , the lady's silver eyes meet with the court lady's cold yet concerned gaze, "Are you feeling alright , my lady ?"

The question hung in the air, but everything felt off-kilter, as if she were walking through a dream. Confusion still swirled within her, leaving her grasping for clarity. Yet, something had shifted. The sudden headache that had previously clouded her thoughts had vanished, leaving a strange calm in its wake. She wasn't sure how to describe the feeling—disoriented, yet oddly at peace. It was as if she had returned to a familiar place, a room shared with the court lady, but even that familiarity felt distant, like an echo.

She blinked, trying to collect herself, but the words she longed to speak felt like a heavy weight lodged in her throat. She opened her mouth, her voice barely a whisper, the sound struggling to escape. "I'm..."

But the sentence hung in the air, unfinished. She couldn't bring herself to speak the next word. It was as if the truth, whatever it was, was locked behind a door she could not open. Her mind raced, but there were no answers, only the uncomfortable silence that pressed in from all sides.

She could feel the court lady's gaze, sharp and waiting, but she could offer nothing more. There was a part of her that wanted to scream, to demand the answers that eluded her, but another part of her was paralyzed, afraid of what she might uncover.

"See , Nancy should be quick to bring the tea ." The court lady spoke , back to her usual enthusiastic tone while the lady only tried to smile and seem normal , unlike the raging storm going on in her mind .

What is happening ? Who is she ? What is her name ? What is she doing here ? How did she end up here ? And why is she being crowned Queen besides a King she didn't know ?
