Walking a few feet behind the Queen Mother and Morgana, Elara couldn't help but notice how their voices were low, the words slipping between them like a secret meant only for their ears. Elara turned to stare into the dark corridors as well, waiting to catch what has caught their attentin , but it was as clear as ever. She could see in the dark. I can see perfectly in the dark .
Wait, maybe it could be some strong genes, she thought to herself. But genes from where? From who?
The haunting, painful howl of the wolf faded from her mind, until the Queen Mother's voice broke the silence by the mention of a pack of wolves that resides just outside the castles walls at the forest that surrounds the castle .
"Pack of wolves?" Elara rephrased, having the Queen Mother and Morgana, who were already walking ahead, halt. The Queen Mother turned to her and nodded. "Yes, a pack of wolves. They reside just outside the castle, on the Eastside of the forest." She paused, her eyes narrowing slightly. "You didn't know, did you?" she asked, her voice dark and almost teasing. "The wolves... curious, isn't it, that you've never heard of them before?"
Yes and No ? Elara wasn't sure how to respond . "I am curious indeed . Aren't they ... harmful to live next by ?"
At her question , both ladies had opposite reaction, while the Queen Mother laughed and threw her head back for a meanwhile , Morgana stayed with a calculative expression .
The Queen Mother was near Elara , her hand on Elara's back ,"Oh me and you dear Elara are going to get along quiet well . Yes dear , wolves ..." The Queen Mother went on to tell Elara about the wolves that resides outside the Celestara Castle and explained why they were not harmful to them , all the while gauging at Elara's expression and studying her .
