If these people didn't want to take action, then Rocky wouldn't give up this great opportunity.
The Sword of the Wise King flew out directly, heading toward the two Nen users who were trailing the Kuruta tribe in an invisible state.
As the Sword of the Wise King appeared above the first Nen user's head, Rocky suddenly recalled his Yaksha King Sword.
*If the enemy is marked, can my Yaksha King Sword directly release a bullet to attack?*
Although he hadn't tested it yet, Rocky's intuition told him it was possible.
Looking at the Sword of the Wise King now marking the second individual, he realized this sword was more suited for direct apparition. It wasn't ideal for assassination or surprise attacks, though.
It wasn't that the ability was weak, but rather it wasn't suitable for the task. Assassination required a one-shot kill. It seemed he would have to create a new weapon for that.
*Maybe a dagger-type weapon for rapid, continuous attacks?*
But that would have to wait for the future. For now, he had to deal with these two guys in front of him as soon as possible.
Black smoke rose quietly, dissipating in the air within the blink of an eye. Rocky's figure appeared behind the first unlucky target.
The sharp edge of the Sword of the Wise King pierced directly through his back and into the man's throat.
When the sword was pulled out, a large bloody hole was left behind. The man dropped to the ground without even a scream.
The second target seemed to notice the disturbance and turned his head. The first thing he saw was Rocky's cold eyes.
"You—"
*Swish!*
A sword to the throat.
Blood splattered, but Rocky, now experienced, made sure it didn't hit his face.
The man fell with a thud, and Rocky had already returned to his previous position. He slowly stood up, eyes fixed on the rustling bushes in the distance—the direction in which Piro and the others had fled.
He glanced down at the Sword of the Wise King in his hand, feeling somewhat unsatisfied.
*It feels weak.*
After all, facing the Phantom Troupe members, it had been incredibly difficult to cause any real damage. Yet, these ordinary Nen users couldn't even react in time to use their Nen.
*It's not that I'm weak,* Rocky thought. *It's that the Phantom Troupe is too strong, making me seem weak in comparison.*
Now, Rocky estimated his combat power to be on par with Gon and Killua when they left Greed Island. His Nen energy might not be as strong as Gon's after the Greed Island Initiation, but he had the blessing of Nen, and his combat power was definitely stronger than Gon's back then.
This gave Rocky a clearer understanding of his own abilities. As long as his opponents weren't top-level Nen users like the Phantom Troupe, ordinary ability users shouldn't pose much of a challenge.
He turned around and looked behind him.
*Let Piro and the others escape first. I'll deal with the tails behind me. More importantly, I need to find out who's responsible for exterminating the Kuruta tribe.*
They were waiting here for one of two reasons. Either they knew the Kuruta tribe was escaping, or they had another agenda.
Rocky speculated they were not waiting for the tribe to escape. They likely didn't believe that over a hundred Kuruta tribe members could survive against the Phantom Troupe. They were likely here to wait for the Kuruta tribe's *Scarlet Eyes*—once they had them, they could leave.
If that was the case, the identity of these people was clear. They were the buyer's people.
*But who exactly is this buyer?*
Rocky's curiosity grew. To command so many Nen users wasn't a simple task. It cost a lot to hire a Nen, and yet the other party had so many at their disposal. While they might not compare to the Phantom Troupe in terms of strength, these Nen users were more than enough to handle ordinary people. That alone made the buyer seem quite formidable.
A strong killing intent flashed in Rocky's eyes.
"No matter who it is, I will get this account back for the Kuruta tribe sooner or later!"
His killing intent surged outwards, causing the birds in the surrounding forest to take flight in panic.
Such a movement didn't go unnoticed by the Nen users coming around. They, too, sensed the killing intent emanating from Rocky.
More than a dozen Nen users, rushing in from different directions, paused briefly before accelerating toward him.
Soon, a group of people dressed in black suits appeared.
However, they weren't the main threat. Rocky's attention was fixed on one individual—someone in a white suit.
The rest were dressed in black, blending in with the environment, but this man's white clothes were impossible to miss. Such an eye-catching color in a forest meant one of two things: either he had supreme confidence in his abilities, or he was someone with a significant presence.
The man in white removed his sunglasses and looked at the bodies of his fallen comrades.
*Pah!*
He threw the sunglasses to the ground, crushing them with a casual kick.
"Killing my people!"
"Very good. It seems you have some strength."
With a wave of his hand, the man in white ordered, "Go chase the Kuruta tribe members. This kid is from the Kuruta tribe!"
"Leave him to me!"
The others quickly took action at his command.
However, just as one of the subordinates leaped forward, a ball of blood erupted from his forehead. The man collapsed instantly, dead before hitting the ground.
The others froze in horror. What had just happened? When did this kid strike? Why did one of their comrades die without a single warning?
"If you want to go over, you should ask me first," Rocky said coldly, his voice carrying through the air.
The Sword of the Wise King hovered silently in the air, using the Hidden State. The unlucky man who had just died had accidentally crossed into the sword's path. With a slight surge of Rocky's Nen, the sword had killed him.
It was a matter of luck. Normally, in the Hidden State, the sword would deal only a shallow wound unless enough force was applied. But the enemy's bad luck had led to his demise.
The man in white, unphased by the loss, used Gyo to scan the area, but found nothing.
"A trap-type trigger ability, or maybe a special ability with range limitations," he mused.
He looked back at his subordinates. "Disperse. Stay away from this kid. Continue chasing the Kuruta tribe. Don't let any of them escape!"
Though the man in white hadn't fully figured out Rocky's ability, his analysis wasn't far off. Rocky was indeed difficult to deal with from a distance.
The man's gaze sharpened. "Boy, your opponent is me."
"I'll see if you can kill me just like you killed the others."
A powerful surge of Nen erupted from the man's body, and his aura became even more oppressive.
Rocky's eyes narrowed slightly. "Another Enhancer…"
The man in white cracked his knuckles, his smile widening. "Let's see how you handle me."
With a roar, the man charged forward, his fist moving with blinding speed, charged with violent Nen energy.
Rocky's heart pounded. He dodged to the side, feeling the gust of wind created by the attack as it tore past him. But before he could fully recover, the man in white was already on him again, his other fist coming down with devastating force.
Rocky swiftly rolled away, narrowly escaping the blow. His mind raced. He couldn't just rely on his sword; this man's sheer physical power and Nen would require something more.
The man in white grinned. "You're fast, but that won't be enough."
Rocky's eyes flashed. He had to use his full capabilities.
He quickly activated the Hidden State again, his Nen surging into the sword as he aimed a series of strikes toward the man's vital points. But just as quickly, the man raised his defensive Nen shield, deflecting the blow with ease.
Rocky's heart skipped a beat. This wasn't going to be easy. But if he could find a weakness, he could win.
The man in white sneered, stepping forward with even greater force. "Is that all you've got? I'm not done yet!"
The fight was just beginning, and Rocky knew he had to outsmart his opponent if he was going to survive.
