Looking at Rocky, whose expression changed after he finished speaking, the Chief didn't know if he had said too much.

He paused and comforted him, "Little Rocky, don't be discouraged. With your talent, there's still hope!"

"Let's stop here for today. Your uncle wants to see you these days, and you've been staying in the house without going out. Do you want to go see him?"

"No!"

Rocky shook his head. "Grandpa Chief, let me stay alone for a while."

Hearing this, the Chief thought Rocky was sad because he had spoken too harshly.

But he didn't know how to comfort Rocky, so he could only sigh silently. "Okay. Then you rest here alone for a while. Think about other abilities, and you don't have to focus on developing teleportation!"

After speaking, the Chief left, clearly thinking about how to cheer Rocky up.

Rocky, however, remained lying on the wooden block alone.

The index finger of his left hand gently tapped the block.

Dong!

Dong!

"Is it really impossible?" Rocky murmured to himself.

He raised his hand, and the Sword of the Wise King appeared in front of him.

He stared at the black blade and the exaggerated patterns. The shape was quite handsome, but without the proper ability, no matter how beautiful the sword was, it would be useless.

It was difficult to cultivate this kind of power through simple training.

For example, Killua, who converted his Nen into electricity, could successfully convert his energy because he had been electrocuted for many years.

Instantaneous movement.

It was indeed very difficult to develop such an ability.

And it was unknown what kind of training would be required to develop it.

In the original series, an ability related to Rocky's imagined instantaneous movement might be related to Knov, who appeared in the Chimera Ant arc.

Knov's Nen ability, the Hide and Seek,

was a similar ability to space transfer.

There was also the Chimera Ant's Leopard, whose ability evolved later to instantly move people to a mental space.

So instantaneous movement was not impossible to achieve.

However, whether it was Knov's or the Chimera Ant's version, it involved moving the target to an artificial nen dimension.

It seemed that in order to achieve instantaneous movement, an artificial nen dimension was required during the process.

But if he wanted to move directly to a target location…

There was only one person who could do that.

Only Alluka, from the Zoldyck family, with Nanika's ability, could teleport directly.

At Killua's request, Illumi had been teleported directly to the Zoldyck family castle.

That was the true teleportation.

Slowly sitting up, Rocky glanced at the sword on the wooden block.

"Conventional training probably can't achieve this ability."

Since conventional methods didn't work, then he would have to resort to unconventional methods.

And those methods were simple.

"Restrictions and oaths."

For restrictions and oaths, Rocky didn't reject them. They were just another way to gain power.

It wasn't a bad thing.

Of course, in the world of *Hunter x Hunter*, restrictions and oaths were typically avoided.

After all, they were a double-edged sword, often damaging the Nen user.

Restrictions set conditions that could only be used under specific circumstances.

If restrictions were appetizers, then oaths were truly deadly.

An oath could be understood as sacrificing something—freedom, life, emotions—anything valuable could be pledged.

Rocky wasn't intending to set complicated constraints.

After all, the restrictions needed to be strict enough to force Nen to increase significantly.

Otherwise, a normal condition wouldn't make much of a difference.

"It can only be used on the weapons I materialize, and each materialized weapon will remain permanent, continuously consuming my energy!"

In Rocky's vision, the materialized weapons needed to be invisible, untouchable, or even imperceptible, surrounding him at all times for defense.

If they could be retrieved, that would negate the defense.

It was the perfect condition to strengthen his ability.

Though the enhancement might be small, it was better than nothing.

And since the weapons were permanent, if they were stolen, Rocky wouldn't be able to recover them beyond a certain distance.

If the weapon was taken away, there would be no way to retrieve it, and maintaining the weapon's existence would continuously drain his energy.

That was risky.

Even so, the restriction was just an appetizer. The real deal was the oath.

As for the oath…

Rocky wasn't about to risk his life like Kurapika did when developing his ability.

That would be too costly, as Rocky had more valuable things than his life.

But whether it would work or not depended on time.

Two days passed.

In the past two days, Rocky had practiced step by step, not once mentioning the development of teleportation.

The Clan Leader thought that Rocky had given up, but seeing Rocky's continued downcast expression, the Clan Leader began to worry. Children often got stuck in a dead end.

If Rocky didn't regain his composure soon, it might affect his training.

So the Clan Leader began thinking of ways to help him.

However, what the Clan Leader didn't know was that Rocky wasn't depressed at all. Instead, he was uneasy.

Whether his idea could be established depended on one critical step.

The reason for waiting two days was simple: Rocky had been waiting for the modification permission to be granted.

Because Rocky's plan was this…

The condition for his oath: to sacrifice his talent!

It shouldn't be impossible to develop teleportation by sacrificing top-tier Nen talent!

However, once his talent was sacrificed, he would become a person without any talent. It might even become extremely difficult to activate Nen altogether.

In that case, what was the point of gaining the ability?

This involved a concept: the equivalent exchange of Nen.

Rocky was willing to develop teleportation at the cost of losing Nen entirely.

The price he paid would far exceed what was needed to develop teleportation.

If Rocky, who had lost his talent, could regain top talent by modifying his Nen permissions…

Then everything would be fine. If top Nen talent wasn't enough, he could rely on top physical potential, top bloodline abilities—combining them, Rocky was confident that he could succeed!

Today, he would test it.

Of course, Rocky couldn't test with his Nen talent directly at first. What if he couldn't recover after the sacrifice?

He needed to experiment first.

The experiment would use his bloodline ability. It was only at the intermediate level, so if he lost it, it wouldn't be a huge setback.

By reducing his bloodline ability as the condition for the oath, Rocky could develop the ability to control the sword within a specific range.

This would be the equivalent of controlling a flying sword!

With a simple vow, he set the condition.

The next second, he looked at the sword in front of him, and the sword trembled slightly with his thought.

It didn't seem to fly yet, but this was because Rocky wasn't strong enough at the moment. There was no weight when he held the sword, but it felt substantial when controlling it with his mind.

Rocky couldn't yet "raise" his sword.

But this proved that his idea was feasible.

He opened his information panel.

**[Bloodline Ability: Low Level |]**

As the modification line appeared, Rocky's eyes gleamed.

Yes!

It could be modified!

Then developing instantaneous teleportation would… be no problem!
