Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

A week quickly passed and on this day, Henry was prepared for the launch of his AI. With the click of a button, he was ready to deploy the website. A few days ago, He received a mail from Google with the concluded contract and they also responded to the inquiry he made about when to deploy.

They recommended he deploy immediately as they at Google already tried it out and didn't find issues with it. Henry agreed with them, he needed system points as he only gets small amounts.

[Name - Henry Miller]

[Age - 20]

[Strength- 7]

[Agility - 10]

[Stamina - 8]

[Intelligence - 18]

[Skills - Game Hacking 101, Epiphanes, Universal compiler(C)]

[Points - 220]

The points have been coming in a lot slower than before. There were only so many bugs he could find in little time and the importance of these bugs wasn't even considered significant by the system. Since no one knows about the bugs and they haven't been exploited, it is not of importance to the customers. Also considering that the entire program that he finds the bug in doesn't belong to him, the points are greatly reduced.

He could only pin his hopes on the AI he was releasing. He was pretty confident that the AI would perform well and be very sought after in the market. After all, it offered many things people wished for but were unavailable in the current AI space.

Henry's hand was hovered above his mouse button, ready to click the button to deploy the web application. His phone's alarm started beeping and Henry immediately deployed the application and a wave of satisfaction washed over him as he went to check the analytics of web traffic.

There were no changes but Henry didn't feel discouraged. Although he thought he'd soar with his partnership with Google but then he thought, the release was close to the announcement so many people probably haven't heard of it.

Henry checked the server statistics and his eyes nearly popped out. More than 90% of his server resources were already in use and it was still increasing quickly. He was shocked and confused, he checked his website analytics to see no users were using it. He refreshed the page and the number quickly changed to 114.2k Users.

Henry was dumbfounded and frustrated. Dumbfounded at how many users he got on launch and frustrated that the server he spent so much on was about to crash at its release. Henry quickly started making preparations to move to a new server, there was no doubt it would crash but he wanted to make the server restart quickly.

He started getting a new server plan to move to:

Compute (AI + Application Servers):

GPU: 8 NVIDIA A100 GPUs,

vCPUs: 96,

Memory: 1.1 TB

__

Backend API server:

vCPUs: 96,

Memory: 384 GB

__

Amazon S3 (file storage): 500 TB

Amazon EBS (high-speed SSD for compute instances): 50 TB

__

Amazon Aurora (Relational Database Service): r6i.8xlarge (64 vCPUs, 512 GB RAM)

Amazon ElastiCache (in-memory caching)

Elastic Load Balancing (ALB/NLB)

AWS Direct Connect (private high-speed networking)

TOTAL COST - $610,000

Henry had made a considerable amount of money but after getting this, he'd barely have $5,000 saved. It wasn't a big issue though, it was an investment and a worthwhile one. This one was a lot more powerful than the last, he was sure that even if there were a million concurrent users, it wouldn't crash.

At this point, the server finally couldn't take it anymore and shut down. Henry however was already prepared and launched the server to continue on the new one. Henry breathed a sigh of relief, he didn't think it'd be more taxing to set up a server than making the AI itself.

Henry remembered something and opened his phone. He opened X(formerly known as Twitter). He created a Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook account for Phantma and thanks to the Google promotions, They had gained a decent following. Twitter had the highest with 31k followers, Instagram followed behind with 26k and Facebook had the lowest with 19k.

Henry quickly created a post for X that addressed the issue and informed that it was fixed. After doing that, he checked YouTube and decided to search for Phantma. To his shock, it was everywhere. Before its release, it was already being hyped and reviewed by content creators.

Henry also searched Phantma on Google and his website was first. Below that were many new headlines about Phantma which still shocked him. He wasn't very active on social media which led him to miss out on all these developments.

As things were progressing, Henry was very satisfied. If given time, he'd earn a lot of system points and also money.
