Chapter 3 - Lucky Necklace?

She stared dazedly at the holographic screen, perplexed at the theme of her system. It's a game system, right? Shouldn't she have gotten something related to the game, like the affection system the main character has?

She looked towards the section displaying her points and saw that it had indeed increase.

'Are these used for the shop?'

She moved her finger towards the shop and saw it miraculously change to display a catalogue of items that were... very expensive...

"Health potion at 20 TP, Mana at 25 TP..."

She hung her head low when she saw these prices; nothing she had found yet was even close to the 8 points she had gained. That was until she found one strange item that stood out to her with the price labelled as:

["???": The current amount of points you have.]

Unlike the other items she saw before coming to it, this one had the illustration of a present. It was quite charming to the eye, and since she was able to afford it, the urge to buy it was very strong.

"It's kind of like a gacha in a way..." The memories of the amount of money she lost almost brought a tear to her eyes.

Lillian then shakily pressed the "Buy" button next to it and saw the screen suddenly change. It became blank before a conspicuous box-shaped black hole appeared on it with the text above it saying:

[Reach in to Grab your Item]

She raised her arms and blinked at it. She glanced at the hole and back to her arm a few times before the familiar notification of the system appeared separately from the one in front of her.

She smiled joyfully at the notification before finally steeling herself, pushing her arm into the horrifyingly deep hole of the system, and rummaging through it before finally finding a box-shaped item inside.

After pulling it out, she inspected it and couldn't help but be in awe that the digital item that she had bought had magically entered the physical world.

It was a white box with a powder blue ribbon about as big as her palm, and it sparkled like it had someone sprinkled glitter on it.

She fiddled with the ribbon before tugging at it and watching it open like a blooming flower.

Inside this present was a small silver necklace with a white metal charm in the shape of a... Rabbit's foot?

Lillian peered inside and pulled it out. She inspected this necklace that came out from the magical small box and scratched her head. Just a second after staring intently at it, though, a separate pop-up from the system appeared, this time identifying what it was.

[Item Name: "Lady Fate's Lucky Necklace of Entertainment"]

[Item Type: "Accessory"]

[Item Rank: 7]

[Description: "The Lady of Fate, ???, bored out of her mind, decided to call upon her siblings to finally breathe some entertainment into her world. After finally being given the solution, she decided to make it so they would definitely entertain her while she weaves the fate of the world. By crafting the chain out of her hair and the charm from one of her nails(?) with her entertainer's love for rabbits in mind, she created a necklace fit for the one to bring her near-endless entertainment into the world and conspicuously placed it inside her entertainer's little helper."]

[Enchantments: "Intertwine With Fate", "Fit for the Moment!", "Lucky Accidents"]

"U-augh...!" Lillian gaped at it like a fool who witnessed a bolt of lightning striking just right next to her; she couldn't believe what she was witnessing.

"A-A rank 7 artefact... HOW LUCKY AM I TO GET THIS!?" She squealed and pulled it into a tight embrace, her plump chest smashing against it.

"Huh... It's kind of easy to get these points... Wait, hold on, entertainment?" She looked over the artefact's description again and saw several things mentioning entertainment, specifically for a person named the "Lady of Fate".

"Is my purpose in this world to entertain this person...?" She tapped her chin, tilting her head side to side before smirking.

"I was planning to get involved anyway! What's the point in getting another chance at life if you don't enjoy it?! I have already experienced being miserable in my last one, so let's just enjoy!"

After saying that, she got herself out of her bed and immediately noticed how short she was. "Ah... what's this? 5ft5?" She jogged over to a mirror that was capable of showing her entire body.

There she was, standing in front of a mirror that stood beside the wardrobe. A young, beautiful girl, average in height, with short white hair, sapphire-like eyes, unblemished alabaster skin, and wearing white furry pyjamas related to it, of course... Bunnies...

"This Lillian really loves her rabbits, huh? Pfft!" She chuckled a bit before raising the necklace and putting it around her neck. She felt pleased with how well it fit her and walked away from the mirror.

That was until—

"W-woah!"

She randomly slipped, banging her forehead into the wardrobe and falling flat onto her face.

THUD!

"U-ugh... what the hell... did I just somehow slip on air?!" She groaned as she raised her head off the floor.

"Not a great time, system... my head hurts..." she said, rubbing her forehead before feeling something hard fall onto her head, knocking her out cold...

"U-ugh..."

Thud...
