Chapter 14: Decision!
Arohan read many of the shocking deeds over the next few days. He finally understood why those beings were called Gods.
Even though they weren't directly involved in the situation, just their names alone and followers caused such situations, leaving Arohan to imagine what would happen if the Gods were to personally take action. The next moment, he shuddered in fear as an answer came from his soul.
'It will be the death of the world!'
The answer came from deep within his soul as if it was engraved into it once he was born.

"So what have you decided?" The captain asked Arohan as it was time for him to state his answer.
Arohan paused only for a moment and then with determined eyes he looked at the captain and said, "I will accept your offer."
The captain was excited to learn that Arohan accepted his offer as he could see the potential hidden within him, and he was confident of unleashing that potential to benefit not only Trita but the entire humanity on Yavar.
But the smile on his face froze when he heard the next sentence.
"Let's talk about my employment benefits. Let me tell you firsthand that I will not work like those exploited workers."
Arohan didn't have any selfless motive for choosing to accept the offer. He was only doing things that would benefit him.
"What do you mean by employment benefits?"
The captain asked since there seemed to be no such thing in Trita or other cities he knew of.
Arohan wasn't very surprised by the captain's reaction since it was understandable. The world from which he came from was too different from Yavar.
Only in a peaceful world, things like employment benefits could exist. Even on Earth, those terms came after modern human social development.
"Like how many days I will work, what will be my salary, what benefits I would get from the administration…"
"You will work seven days-"
The captain seriously answered but was cut off midway by Arohan.
"I will work only five days a week and nine hours a working day."
Arohan stated, making his intentions clear. He wasn't like other characters from those novels he read who would immerse themselves entire days just because they became powerful.
Arohan had lived a powerful life all his life and wasn't someone who cared for immortality, so that lifestyle was alien to him and he had no interest in becoming like those characters.
He didn't know what the future had in store for him, but he certainly knew what he wanted at that moment. Now that he had come to a new planet, he had many things to do.
The captain was shocked to learn that since the concept of working only five days a week was completely alien but remembering that Arohan was from a different planet, he understood that things must have gone like that in Arohan's native world.
The captain knew it wasn't easy to change ways easily, so he nodded and accepted Arohan's condition of working only five days.
Arohan was surprised to learn that since he had expected the captain to refuse. Then he would act like a big man and increase the number of working days to six, which was his target all along. Even though he wanted to live life the easy way, he knew his limits and understood how not to be greedy right away.
But since the captain accepted that immediately, he was excited as he now had two days to himself. It had been quite a while since he pleasured his lower body and it was time for that.
Arohan stated some more of his conditions which were readily accepted by the captain, leaving Arohan excited.
"I understand things go differently in your native world, so I am allowing you to live that way, but remember you have to do your task in the time you will work if you want to keep enjoying these employment benefits you call."
The captain sternly stated.
Arohan also nodded since it was understandable, not knowing what kind of hell was waiting for him in the future.
"Your residence has been prepared, so you can ask the department to take you there. Rest today since your work will begin tomorrow."
The captain then dismissed Arohan. The latter nodded and left the tent to go to the department that was responsible for soldier's quarters.
With a soldier' help, he reached there and was handed a key and the directions to his residence.
The directions were simple, so he reached his destination quickly and nodded seeing his residence. It was a single-story building made of some type of wood.
Arohan tapped on the wood and was surprised to find that the wood was harder than the concrete from Earth.
He then walked to the door and put the key in the keyhole. The lock system was the same as the Earth, so he knew what to do.
After turning the key, the door was unlocked with a clicking sound. He pushed the door and walked inside to check what awaited him.
