Reid returned to the place he had skinned a bull' s tail. He slumped into the ground and recovered for an hour or so.
Waking up, he decided to test whether his analysis was correct.
He had earlier theorized that his stat points were in a state of wealth. A state where he needed to reform his body in order to accommodate the power his system stats gave.
In the heat of battle, he had realized that he needed to be surpus his current physical limit for his body to balance out the power given by the system.
That balance being the state of Balance he needed to reach to efficiently use the power his system gave him.
Now that he had recovered, he had another theory about how his system took the power contained in the spirit cores and distributed it to his stats.
He also theorized that, if their is a state of wealth and balance,there is also a state of deficit .
If that was true, Reid theorized that a state of deficit is where his body had surpussed his physical limits but could not move due to lack of energy.
In a state of deficit , he would be like a car out of fuel, where he would be the car and the stats points be his fuel. This would also mean that spirit cores are a vital resourse to him.
What he didn't know was that spirit cores were already vital resourses in this Strange New world he found himself in.
To test this, Reid started working out, doing pushups and squats, running and rope jumping,( using a tail bone of course) He would also go back to the clearance to test his strength as well as dragging out a bull- elemental to skin their tails for fur.
After hours of back and forth work outs, Reid smiled in satisfaction. He had reached a state of Balance, where his starts reflected his physical power.
At this moment, his strength could display one hundred and eighty kilograms of power (180 kg), reflecting his eighteen (18) points of strength. This was also true about his speed and other physical starts.
Then what about his mental stats?
The answer was simple, Reid had not created a baseline to compare them to real life.
Heck, he didn't even know what most represented !
All he knew was that they had influence over his skills, but that also needed more time to experiment, so he decided to let it go for now, focusing more on his physic more.

A splurting sound echoed throughout the underground tunnel as Reid's fist tore into a fire bull-elemental spirit beast's back.
He took out a spirit core and placed it into a pile of cores in a corner. Then he looked at the bull- elemental, his eyes shimmering while his stomach complained.
Grrr...grr...grr..
"This is essentially beef right?"
Reid said to comfort himself as he cut through a bull's fat leg with a conjured glass shard.He skinned it and placed it on top of sulphur stones that he collected from the fiery clearing.
The stones were emiting subtle heat , glowing red one instant and dimming down the next. Reid was fascinated by them.
" How are they still burning ! "
Reid spoke outload after observing the stones cook his meet for almost an hour,and during this whole time, he noticed that they never diminished. They never lost their original size or weight, as if the heat does not come from them nor does it affect them.
" Well , it won't hurt taking a few !"
Curious, Reid stored nineteen huge chuncks of the sulphur stones in his special category at his System Inventory after finishing stuffing meat into his stomach.
He also tried taking some meet into his consumable slots,and to his supprise, it worked.
Seeing that he also tried storing his spirit cores but he had too many and only five slots.

Reid exclaimed knowing that there was no one to answer his questions. It was times like this that he really wished he woke up with his smartphone. A Siri to answer all questions without fail.
Reid looked at the spirit core pile at his left side.He had two options right now after already storing five to his inventory.
He could either submit them to the quest system and get some experience points or use them to level up and return to a state of wealth.
He decided do both. He had about twelve spirit cores left after storing five into his inventory.
Unheaitantly , Reid opened the Quest system and accepted the first mission, submitting his spirit cores in exchange for experience points.
A notification rang on his mind, a flashing light hovering the air presenting his rewards.

Receiving his experience points, took the remaining six cores into and brought them close to his forehead, where the Primordial Codex attached itself into him.
A shimmering light then covered the six spirit cores,absorbing them into Reid's upper dantian.
Reid closed his eyes, his consciousness entering his upper dantian. There he found a yellow core, glowing faintly as it released spiritual power into the dantian.
" The upper dantian should represent my sea of consciousness , right ? So what the fuck am I seeing ?? "
Reid cursed, agitated by the sight before him.
Barren land spread all over his eyes could see, the cracked land rough on his bare feet while the core kept rotating above the sky.
The six cores orbited the the yellow core as its centre, with each rotation causing the new spirit cores to reduce in size. Slowly but surely, the six cores were absorbed untill nothing was left.
Reid observed with a hawk's concentration, noticing that the yellow core was increasing in density as a the six spirit cores reduced with every rotation.
He also noticed the spiritual energy released into the dantian become denser and at a faster rate than initially.
Below the yellow core, where the denser spiritual energy was released, a budding seedling formed.
"A seedling in a baren land."
Reid smiled, goosebumps present all over his skin, showing how moved he was.
