Kiitan walks as he steps on the sewer waters, his eyes darts left and right, cautious of the environment he is.
"Syntax, we are in Japan right? ". Kiitan asked.
[ Yes...]
"Phew, that's a little less worrying, when you told me that I wasn't in my world, I started to fear the urban legend ' sewer alligator '. However, since we are in Japan, I haven't heard of Japan having crocodilians". He said.
"Wrong Kiitan, Japan doesn't have native crocodilians, there are going to be crocodiles and alligators in zoos ". Brian said.
"They are in the zoos not in a sewer " kiitan replied.
"Kiitan, I think we forgot to ask a very important question, what kind of world are we in, is it just like ours, or is it like those action genres". Brian said.
"You are right, Syntax, you heard the man, answer us". Kiitan said to his system.

[Ding! About 25 years ago, meteors of astounding numbers crashed into different parts of the planet, creating disasters at their wake. However, these meteors were far from ordinary, they were filled with mystic radiations...
Unknown to man, they tried studying the meteors, however, things didn't go as planned. Soon, some plants, animals and man himself starts to mutate. The plants and animals morphed into unidentified lifeforms, some were gigantic, others were small but all possess powers.
Strangely, man's physical characteristics did not change, rather, only a few were gifted with abilities which they call The Awakens. The mutated plants and animals became terror to mankind, so it became the jobs of the awakened to eliminate and reduce the havoc caused by them.
Occasionally, gates would open from alternate realms, it is also the job of the awakened to stop it from causing destruction...]
[... Humans have roughly divided themselves into 2 groups The Ordinary and The Awakened. The former are people with no abilities whatsoever, so, they are normal citizens that do meager jobs, they are the most populous taking up to 80% of the entire human population.
The awakened on the other hand are humans with abilities, they take on the responsibility of protecting the Ordinaries, the awakened are just 20% of the population, making them highly valuable and sort after...].
"Whoa, that's one good summary, it's simple and understandable, won't you agree Brian". Kiitan said.
"I do, however, kiitan, I think we might be in a tiny, tiny trouble, Syntax said animals turned into monsters, and with the looks of things, where we are... This place looks abandoned, it means... "
" A breeding place perfect for wild life and monsters..." Kiitan completed Brian's theory.
"Brian, search through my memory, what kind of animals can survive in a sewer ". He asked.
"Let's see, we have, rats, snakes, spiders, scorpions, baby alligators/ crocodiles, cockroaches, bats and so on". Brian replied.
"Hmm, ok, do you remember any movies that features mutated animals in sewers ". Kiitan asked.
"Due to hazy memory, I can only remember a few movies like C.H.U.D and Alligator, in essence, lets be expecting maniacs like in those movies". Brian replied.
* SQUEAK !!!
"Oh Mary mother of Jesus!!" Kiitan yelled out as he heard a sound that voiced out loudly near him.
He looked around, only to see that he stepped on the tail of a gray rat the size of a boot. Out of instinct, he carried off his feet and stepped forward.
"Ha, is that supposed to be a monster rat, I've seen a cane rat as big as that back at home ". He said.

"Million's rat... Wait, don't tell me...". Kiitan became nervous, he watched as the rat scurried into the shadows. He doesn't know what, but something was giving him the chills.
"I gotta get outta here". He said. He began to run, seemingly from nothing, but in his mind, he could not shake off the feeling that the name ' Million's rat ' is bad news.
Unexpectedly, the walls of the sewer began to tremor slightly. Kiitan stopped his tracks, curious about the shaking. From where he stood, he suddenly saw numerous rat-like animals of uncountable numbers, racing towards him.
His face turned pale and grim, his eyes trembled in fear.
"Kiitan runnn!!!". Brian yelled.
With no second thought, Kiitan began to run and kept running.
"I'm going to die, I can not outrun these monsters, they are getting closer each seconds, ahhhh!!!". He wails.
"Kiitan, look at Syntax, he's giving us an hint ". Brian said. "Huh". Kiitan noticed.
His mind had been clouded by fear, he had forgotten he had a system.
[ Hint to evade the marauding rodents... Look for a stationary object, cling to it and never let go no matter what...]
"Oh". Kiitan eyes darts around, looking for any object he can cling to as stated by Syntax. Surprisingly, he found a medium sized pipe just above him. He jumped and wrapped his hands and legs around it to give maximum cohesion.
The Million's rat swarmed like raging floods, moving in complete unity and uniformity. They hits Kiitan like a bulldozer, forcefully shaking the pipe he held steadfast. Kiitan did a good job holding the pipe tightly, he never let go no matter the shaking and bitting they gave him each time individual rats pass by him.
However, he doing a good job is commendable, he stood true to the assignment no matter the cost, but unfortunately, the rats have caught up to his gimmick, they changed tactics.
Rather than just rigorously shake and plainly bite both Kiitan and the pipe, they began to use their special ability [corrosive bite].
The rats bites the metal pipe bit by bit. Kiitan noticed that the pipe he held was showing signs of corrosion and not just that, what the rats where doing to the pipe, they were doing to him also.
He endured the pains the rats were inflicting him, but his body was deteriorating as fast as the metal rod. Kiitan seems to have an idea of their powers .
The rats have corrosive bites and whatever is inflicted with their teeth gets to corrode, though individually neglectable, but together, a dangerous weapon.
Kiitan's body could not endure it anymore, the bite and corrosion are eating deep into his body. Without warning, one of the end of the metal pipe he held broke, his grip loosened. No longer does he have any support to hold unto. His eyes widens in fear.
Soon, the other end also broke, now, he together with his so called safety pipe he clung unto were washed away by the Million's rat which were moving like rapid waters.
"Aaargh!!!" He screamed as he was carried away to an unknown destination.
