Kaine sat on the sofa in the foyer with a box of lemon tarts and a mysterious bag of things that Asuriel had asked him to pick up on his way home – right after his useless trip through every grocery store in the city, of course.
The demon's curiosity was driving him mad. He wanted to know what was inside the bag so badly! He remained vigilant despite the urge to rummage through and discover what was in it. The dull ache atop his head reminded him of what was at stake…
…but that didn't make him any less bored! Sitting still for any amount of time drove Kaine up a wall. He needed something, anything to do. Alas, his new 'master' hadn't sent him any further instruction, and Darion was busy taking care of some essential tasks for the Lord.
It was around 9 pm that Darion finally arrived back at the mansion.
