Asuriel tugged on the sweater that Kaine and Darion had brought for her. It was made of thick, warm wool and had fur lining to make it soft. The color was a dark, muted purple that brought out the continuously deepening violet of her eyes. With some fleece-lined leggings, thick socks, and a pair of boots, Asuriel was dressed. All that was left was to slip on her warm knit cardigan and wear her beanie nice and snug.
If someone were to see her, they would think she was overdressed for the rainy autumn weather. In her weakened state, however, she had become extra sensitive to the cold, so she was delighted with the outfit the twins had chosen.
"Thanks," Asuriel said to the two men with a soft smile. Her skin had grown paler, and dark circles were revealed beneath her eyes. "This is perfect."
"You look awful," Kaine observed, scrutinizing her with inquisitive red eyes. "Did the boss keep you up all night?"
