Chapter 5 - The Price of Absolute Power

Arkan's grip on the world had become absolute. Every part of the globe bowed before his decisions, and his wealth was no longer measured in money but in influence and power. Yet with every passing day, his power grew more intoxicating, and the consequences of that power began to appear in ways he hadn't anticipated.

As the Supreme Judge, Arkan thought only of himself and those he chose to raise, but the people around him—those who were loyal to him—began to suffer under the weight of his tyranny. He began to view anyone not under his immediate command with disdain. A strange detachment overcame him, and as the world continued to bend to his will, he noticed his sense of empathy, once inherent as a judge, had slowly disappeared. His thoughts became consumed with ruling over all, and he began to feel invincible, unstoppable.

"Let them kneel," he would often think, relishing the control.

However, not all of his followers agreed with the increasingly despotic nature of his rule. Among the individuals who helped him reach the pinnacle of his power, there arose whispers of discontent. A powerful faction of former allies, including some of his closest confidants, began to believe that his cruelty would eventually lead to his downfall.

They tried to conspire against him, plotting from the shadows to limit his reach. But none could escape the decrees of the Supreme Judge. Arkan, ever alert, immediately sensed the dissent within his inner circle and ordered severe punishment upon those who betrayed him. The faction's leaders were stripped of their wealth, cast into exile, and eventually sent into the Abyss with no way to escape.

Arkan saw their struggle not as a loss but as an opportunity. "Those who stand in my way cannot survive in this world," he mused. It was not just a victory but a brutal reminder that anyone who tried to oppose him would meet their end at his hands.
